It depends how much you put down, though. If my gut is right about her savings situation, she probably didn't have much to put down at all! Did she have a trade-in?

If she really saved up her money, and "has money" like she said, she should have put a lot down and have a small monthly payment. Do I think she did that? NO!

Her lease was done so she turned the car back in. I don’t think she really bought this van. I think she leased it. Personally I think leases are a waste of money. I would rather buy a low mileage car that is a couple years old. Pay it off and keep it another 5 to 8 years.
