They just now heard of muckbang videos? Hate to tell them but anytime we see them eat dinner is basically a muckbang video. Shit, with the amount of cheesy noodles and other unhealthy food piled high, I think they’ve got the muckbang video covered. (But Cullen wants the views.)

I don’t know if I’m the only one but I feel like Katie is SO AWKWARD when she eats on camera. She gets flushed and covers her mouth. It’s gross.

I was thinking this a few weeks ago. Katie mentioned something about donating it not long ago, which is an awesome idea, but she needs to do something with it soon. It looks so dingy.
I don’t think Katie wants to cut it. Gaines said she didn’t when asked but of course a little girl who has picked up on her mother’s praise of “pretty long hair” isn’t going to want to cut it. Katie mentioned maybe donating it but she won’t. She’s living vicariously through Gaines and her long hair.

I don't see the harm in Gaines having long hair. If she likes it, and Katie doesn't mind dealing with it then let them do whatever they want with her hair. Hair has always been one of those things i never fight battles over. Whatever my kids (or anyone elses kids for that matter) want to do with their hair is fine with me, as long as it doesn't break school dress code (which is basically non existent for hair in our school anyway). I did convince my son (with the help of his date lol) to clean up his hair for prom, but he picked whatever haircut he wanted.
Now if Gaines was begging for her to cut it, or Katie was complaining about having to deal with it then yes i agree it needs to be cut, but it would break my heart if they cut it against Gaines wishes.

They’re something that is very popular in Korea and usually it’s like people have actual talking points to talk about and they prepare their food then eat it. Like a cooking show but with more conversation and eating, but of course YouTube has just run with it and it’s become a trendy bastardization of just American youtubers pigging out on mountains of fast food and calling it content.

I must have missed it since I haven't been watching the vlogs very often, but why are Brooks and Gaines going back to school? Is it like a VBS?

Based on the end of today's vlog, Brittany and Cullen BOTH are chewing gum and/or eating while recording the podcast. Lovely. :barf:

I admit I don't normally watch their vlogs so I don't know anything about this family. I happened to watch it today. What's up with the little boy? How old is he and why does he always have a pacifier in his mouth? Does he speak at all? The way he runs is very odd as well. I hope I don't come off as rude but I'm just curious. The little girl is adorable though.

Brooks will be 2 in July. He always has his pacifier because his lazy parents think he's too crazy to deal with. Katie has probably used the word "irritable" to describe him about 700 times since he was born. He does talk, but not much. He's just about average for speech at the age he's at now. Gaines was very advanced in speech when she was Brooks' age, so if you compare the 2, you might think he's delayed, but he's not. I've not noticed how he runs, but I typically skip over the parts that focus on the kids.

Same way Brooks keeps getting out. They leave the playroom door open to the screen porch, and the screen porch door open to the back yard. I can't imagine leaving the doors open at all. Isn't it blazing hot and humid in Alabama right now? Their electric bill must be through the roof running their AC constantly and not worrying about the cool air escaping through open doors.

She might think it’s a game playing porn station...who knows. These two are grasping at invisible straws and sinking fast. Clueless, lazy, entitled idiots.
Unless they saved a ton of money and put a big down payment on that house I don’t know how they afford it. I remember looking it up and it’s over a 600k house.

Todays drama wrote:Why can’t one of them find a job, being away from each other a few hours a day would work wonders. I think while Brooks is still young, Cullen should be out working. My hubby and I agreed that while the kids were young, I would stay home. We had the kids, we take care of them not babysitters. When they were in school, I worked P/T so my schedule fit theirs for after school activities, homework, etc. why can’t they work a schedule like this? It could be either one to work and stay home with kids. Marriage is give and take, it’s not easy, but their are options to make more money while putting the kids first.
I think that is a huge issue. Cullen needs to find a job that gets him out of the house.

Isn’t there like a stream or man made pond near by their house in the backyard? How does that not worry them about having their two year old running around out there by himself? And there’s not fence or gate. He could get snatched by someone or maybe hit by a straw golf ball on the golf course they love running around on when they’re not supposed to.

No. She wasn’t. “Advanced” would mean speech development greater than what is expected for her age group. She was within the perimeters for normal for her age. As is Brooks.

She defintly was advanced. I have never been around a 2 yo that spoke like her that young.

K. Then all my kids, my siblings, my nieces and nephews and my cousins were all advanced.

OR

You’ve only been exposed to the other end of the spectrum.

Trust me. I’m a proud mama. If I could have bragged about how “advanced” my kids were, I would have. My oldest could speak in 2-3 word sentences before his first birthday. My youngest is just a few months older than Gaines and EASILY has twice the vocabulary as Gaines does. She has been able to read and write our names and 3 letter words for nearly a year. She IS NOT advanced. I’ve had her assessed by a professional because I was concerned that kindergarten would be too boring for her. She is EXACTLY where she’s supposed to be.

“Normal” is a HUGE spectrum. Gaines is on that spectrum. She is not “advanced”.

No. My niece talked a lot well before two. But I remember some old videos of Gaines by two and she was talking in sentences. My other nephew who is the same age as my niece was a slow talker and didn’t talk well until probably 3. I don’t know. Maybe if I went back and watched some old videos Gaines wasn’t advanced as I thought.

I feel like she was advanced when she first started talking, up to around 2.5 years old. Maybe I'm just using the words "advanced" and "above average" interchangeably. I would agree that she is not advanced any longer, and has averaged out. My daughter is Gaines' age, and she speaks much clearer and with more complex sentences than Gaines does at 3.5. On the other hand, I do watch coming from the other side. Having a child with special needs that did not say his first word until 2.5, and did not string 2-3 word sentences together until he was 4, made watching a 1 year old talk in complete sentences a bit shocking.

This. Even though my niece spoke very good at 2 and my nephew who is the same age didn’t until 3 everything tends to level out by the time they are 3.5 or 4. That’s about the time they pretty much talked the same.
