Re: This Is How We Bingham
I seriously do not believe the amount of money some people spend on this family! It is not like they are poor! I can understand sending them letters, cards and maybe some cheap homemade decorations but as for everything else it is not necessary in the least! And the kids as usual in the most recent vlog say that monotone "Thank you we love you" which does not sound sincere at all!

It's sickening. And they open it on camera and mention the person's name, and that encourages more people to send stuff. They really need to put a stop to it. Tell people that toys and clothes are not necessary, and that it's going to be donated, but that cards and letters are fine. They got so much crap sent to them at Christmas, they had to put it in another room!Decode2018 wrote:I seriously do not believe the amount of money some people spend on this family! I just don't understand why anyone would send someone who makes enough money to quit their job, _stuff_. YouTubers aren't special. They're just families who happen to film themselves and upload the videos.

Re: This Is How We Bingham
My heart broke when mind got so emotional over the lady with cancer and how she is going through so much but still sends them those amazing gifts. It wasn't because the story touched me. It was because my mother has been battling cancer for over four years now. And I know the emotional and FINANCIAL toll that has taken on her. And honestly it sickens me that they would rather open bits on YouTube than tell someone use this money to pay your copays on medication or doctors appointments. Or telling her to use it to treat herself to a spa day. If that was my mom sending them stuff, you don't even want to know the comments I'd be making on their social media pages. I'd be livid.lmmomSD wrote:It's sickening. And they open it on camera and mention the person's name, and that encourages more people to send stuff. They really need to put a stop to it. Re: This Is How We Bingham
The only reason they went to LV is cus Cowabunga Bay sponsors them and they get all the water park trips and food and etc, for free if they make videos there. Cowabunga Bay even pays for their gas and hotel, so those moochers pretended to visit the Philips, but all they really did was make a pitstop for the VLOG and views on their way to the waterpark, which was their actual destination. If you watch the Philips version of that visit, you can see everything was staged from their side too. They also go free passes from Cowabunga Bay from another sponsor so neither family paid for anything. I think they also get free food from the local restaurants and shops they include in their videos because you never see either family paying a penny any time.Decode2018 wrote:Yes there is a thread for PHILLIPS FamBam! Not many posts there though so it will be so curious seeing what more people have to say about them! And I truly could not believe that the Binghams travelled about 400 miles to deliver "merch" to them! The real reason was that they want to get anything for the vlog and views! I find that family (and channel) so obnoxious too! None of their recipes are healthy and in my opinion are portraying the wrong message to young viewers especially!

Re: This Is How We Bingham
Most of the presents the parents and grandparents give to the kids were not bought...either they received them in sponsorships or from 'fanmail' and then they just re-wrapped and 'gave' them from them instead giving the real gifter credit. A viewer called them out on it and then it all snowballed from there.lmmomSD wrote:I just can't.
Mindy's parents came over and brought so many presents that it filled the living room. I know they have four kids, but it was freaking ridiculous. There is just no reason for that many presents.
They actually had so many that they forgot about some.

I'm actually curious to know where you got that info? The Binghams got season passes to Cowabunga Bay from one set of grandparents (I think Branden's parents) for a Christmas gift. They gave them season passes to different theme park last Christmas. They've been saying since December that they wanted to visit the water park in LV. I didn't think a sponsorship had anything to do with that. I don't like everything these guys do, by any stretch of the imagination, but they've always been upfront when it came to what were sponsored videos. I guess there could be a first time for everything.sabrinaytmd wrote:The only reason they went to LV is cus Cowabunga Bay sponsors them and they get all the water park trips and food and etc, for free if they make videos there. Re: This Is How We Bingham
They had an entire Christmas tree dedicated solely to gifts sent from subscribers. They never claimed those gifts were from them. Im very confused about where you are getting this information. How long have you been watching them? The grandparents go nuts with gifts for every holiday, they always have... Long before anyone started sending them things.sabrinaytmd wrote:Most of the presents the parents and grandparents give to the kids were not bought...either they received them in sponsorships or from 'fanmail' and then they just re-wrapped and 'gave' them from them instead giving the real gifter credit. Re: This Is How We Bingham
been watching way too long, but never consistently....i randomly go back and catch upon all these LDS families. I started watching Noreen's kitchen for her recipes and that sent me to The Kneady(Needy)Homesteader, who sent me to Philips FamBam...who sent me to the Binghams and finally the Greedners. What started out as a valid recipe search turned into randomly watching all of these greedy youtube families. Being in marketing and sales, I was curious, so started doing research on sponsorships and who actually gives credit and who doesn't. My company always gets requests from youtubers asking (begging) to be sponsored and I'm in telecom, so I can imagine the requests these other companies, that actually provide family-centric activities, must be bombarded with.
1. the sponsorship info was on their Pintrest page. she was asking for more sponsors. wouldnt surprise me if CB gave them season passes and then the grandparentals regifted them as their own. they themselves thanked CB for hooking them up in LV on their video...I think it was the cabana/food scene.
2. one viewer had written her initials on a gift she sent and they opened it Christmas morning as a gift from either the parents or Santa, cant recall. she called them out on it then other viewers started saying what they sent (mostly NICE stuff) and how they were not given credit. was a huge thread that got deleted and many folks got blocked from the Bingham YT channel for posting there and calling them out.

Re: This Is How We Bingham
That in particular makes me sick. I mean, really, physically sick. That some (I'm assuming) lonely cancer patient is spending her money on gifts and shipping, and they not only accept the gifts but encourage her and others to send _more_ is just wrong. They don't want for anything. There is definitely nothing that they need. They are greedy, gluttonous narcissists and teaching their children that not only are they special just for breathing, that being good looking and athletically inclined are more important than being kind.Snarkadoodle Doo wrote:My heart broke when mind got so emotional over the lady with cancer and how she is going through so much but still sends them those amazing gifts. Gluttony is one of the Seven Deadly Sins. So is Pride. They really need to do some self examination.

Yes of course! It makes me literally sick to my stomach too that these people are so greedy and self-centered! They never think of people less fortunate! They only care about themselves! These people desperately need a big reality check considering the fact that they are Christians!

Re: This Is How We Bingham
I am just now catching up on some of the Bingham’s vlogs. Have no words about the massive haul of gifts they opened. Shame on them for making such a big deal and filming. Their kids are already very blessed. Why don’t Brandon and Mindy say in a vlog that although they appreciate it they don’t need anything and suggest that if their “fans” really want to do something to make a donation to a charity. Just lost all respect for this family.

Re: This Is How We Bingham
Why can't Mindy just let Hazy pick what she wants for her own damn party? Hazy was very clear about which plates she wanted, and Mindy kept pushing these other plates that she wanted. I think Hazy ended up with what she wanted, but still, I wanted to reach through the screen and shake her. And then when Hazy said she wanted bouncy balls and little skateboards, Mindy sighed loudly. Heavenly Father forbid that Hazy be any kind of tomboy. Gotta enforce those gender norms! Of course, the words please and thank you never crossed Hazy's lips. When I bought stuff for my kids' parties, number one, I got them what _they_ wanted. Number two, when they were asking for what they wanted, they said "please", and when we got it, they said "thank you".
Branden-- I don't care about where you are road tripping. Just. Don't. Care.

Re: This Is How We Bingham
Their road trip packing was ALL junk. Swedish fish, sour patch candy, fruit by the foot, etc
How about some _actual_ fruit? Applesauce pouches? I know Mindy didn't eat vegetables growing up, and she thinks she turned out just fine, but the way she takes pride in not feeding her kids vegetables OR fruit (except for the occasional berry) is just weird.

I absolutely agree with you about their extremely poor choice of road trip snacks! Some of their ideas are beyond me! I will never understand them! And when is Branden ever going to get a better vocabulary?! The amount of times he used the word "epic" in the most recent vlog (as is always the case) I lost count! And also they use the word "literally" way too often!

Re: This Is How We Bingham
Branden speaks like an overgrown LA 12 year old. Everything is "epic" or "rad" or "legit".
Mindy was saying the other day that they keep their thermostat at 74 during the summer! Now, maybe I'm weird, but we live in Southern California, and we keep ours at 78, and that's plenty cool. No wonder they all need blankets!
One more thing: am I the only one who thought their "clues" for where they were going to go on their road trip were horrible? "I'm packing my paddle board" "we're taking shorts and bathing suits, and jackets just in case". "It's somewhere we can drive to". That describes SO many places in the Western United States! Anyplace with water can get chilly at night. There are so many lakes and rivers within driving distance of where they live! How TF is anyone supposed to actually guess? I'm nitpicking, but they just make me twitch. Branden obviously thinks very highly of himself.

No you are absolutely not the only one who thought that their "clues" as to where they were going on their road trip were awful! I myself thought there are dozens of places in the USA near where they live that have the following characteristics you described above! In all honesty, I am seriously SO sick of these "teasers" they do on us in their vlogs both for vacation places and other "epic announcements" where we are supposed to "guess" of what it could possibly be! Lastly, I wanted to say that Branden set such a poor example to his kids when he quit his job! When they are older, they will think that you can just quit your job whenever you feel like it!

Oh my gosh, I live in the northeast and while it can get into the 90's a lot of the summer, usually the highs are in the 80's. 78 would be way to hot for me, especially as I go through menopause, lol! We usually keep ours between 72 and 74. But my family that lives in south Florida where it's over 100 most days keeps theirs set to 78 like you do and they're often freezing. I guess it's all relative when you compare it to your normal outdoor temps.lmmomSD wrote:Branden speaks like an overgrown LA 12 year old. Everything is "epic" or "rad" or "legit".

All the "guess where we are going" and other stuff like that is just to get people commenting because "viewer engagement" gets YouTube promoting the video more. They don't care what we think. It's all about views.

I keep my house on 70 during the day and 65 at night. I’d be dead in the house at 74-78
