kiki wrote:The one thing I disagree with on here is everyone thinking that having a baby AFTER knowing her child had MD is selfish and wrong. I hate to agree with britney but sues right when she says a disabled life is not a wasted life. To say she was selfish for having Harlow or any other children because they MAY end up with MD or be carriers is actually pretty offensive to someone like myself, with a family member who has MD

My grandfather had MD. My mother and aunt could have been carriers. Neither of them ever got tested, and none of my siblings or cousins ended up with MD. I nay also be a carrier; I have no plans to get tested. If I have a child with MD, so be it. They CAN have a great quality of life. My grandfather had a wonderful life, even eith MD. His challenges made him into the man he was and he did not regret his life for a second.

So as someone who is in a similar position to Aria and Harlow, no, I do not think my mother was selfish for having 4 kids, I don't hate her for it, and I think she made the right decision. Aria and Harlow can make the decision to get tested or not, and the decision to have children or not. Like me, they probably won't care. A baby that is wanted will be wanted regardless of any disability, and loving parents will make sure their child has the best quality of life possible.

Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which is what Nolan has and what Britney is a carrier for, is a very severe form of muscular dystrophy. People with DMD have only recently started to live past their 20s. The average life expectancy is currently 25. It’s not comparable to whatever MD your grandfather had and that you may or may not be a carrier for.

DMD is not a disability. It is a progressive, debilitating disease that will one day kill Nolan, probably when he is far too young. He will be wheelchair bound by his early teens at the latest.

Continuing to have children for your own fulfillment, knowing they could also inherit this horrific disease is SELFISH. There are other paths to parenthood if Britney really wants more kids, namely adoption and IVF.

I don't really know what goes through Britney's mind when she thinks about having more kids, but I believe she lacks empathy and understanding of what Nolan is going to go through very soon.

I can, however, relate a tiny bit because I am a carrier of a disease that becomes a terminal illness. When I first found this out I wanted to get my husband tested for the gene and then forego having kids if he tested positive for it. However, ultimately, we decided that it's not important if he were a carrier because we would want to try to have children anyway. Mine is a bit different because it is a recessive gene, so a boy or a girl would each have a 25% chance of getting it IF my husband were a carrier (and if he's not they only have a 1 in 128 chance of getting it). They also would have a higher quality of life than someone with DMD and there are possible treatments that could greatly prolong their life. But my mindset completely changed when I learned about my genes. I really thought I just could not allow there to even be a possibility of having kids, but now it seems to matter less. My brother and SIL are also both carriers and have decided to have children anyway, knowing for sure that any of their children have a 25% chance of getting the disease. It's one of those things that you can't know your reaction to until you're in the situation.

1. Men can't be carriers. They either have the full blown disease, or there is no hint of it in their DNA. Therefor your mother and aunt couldn't even be carriers.
2. I'm impressed that your grandfather apparently was fertile enough to have several children, since muscular dystrophy can lead to infertility by causing impotence and testicular atrophy in males, and that his muscles worked well enough for him to actually have sex. The average life expectancy of a man with DMD is 26—30 or 40s are only with excellent care and modern medicine—so I'm not sure how much of a "wonderful" life your grandfather could have possibly had. The only thing that would make any of this realistic was if he had Becker's muscular dystrophy, not Duchenne.
Thanks for implying I'm making this up you fucking ignorant tool. I never said my grandfather had duchenne MD. My grandfather's MD came on in his 20s and this was in the 50s and 60s, when most of the "specialists" he saw had never actually seen MD in person before. He was diagnosed with MD but never given a more specific diagnosis. He was told at the time his children could be carriers. They all made the choice to have children thinking that. And even so, his sister who could have been a carrier also decided to have kids. The point I was making is it isn't selfish to have children knowing they MAY end up with diseases or disabilites.

She doesn’t love the kids she has, why would she want more? Only to tie her to Frank and trap him, and because being pregnant and having a baby will get her views aka money.

I legit don’t think she would care if Ean got full custody of any of his kids. I don’t think she would be above putting Nolan in a home when he gets really bad. She doesn’t have any type of motherly instinct. I think she is incapable of love. Sociopath. I’m not using hyperbole i genuinely believe this about her.

She definitely comes off as weird and cold. Yeah she feeds and loves her kids I guess but like she doesn't care about anyone but herself. She likes her kids there and always wanted the "status" of three children. There would be no other reason for her to have more kids except to trap a new man...

We’re not talking about your family, we’re talking about Britney and Nolan who DOES have duchenne and will most likely pass away from his MD quite young after living a horrid life.

Your point about Britney is stupid and if you think Britney isn’t selfish as fuck then you’re the ignorant tool

See this is the problem I pointed out before. People go on long spiels and friends/family members with MD having long glorious lives but when you ask them what kind of MD it is, it's never DMD. This is probably one reason why Britney is so in denial.

Postby MommaOfThree » Sun Jul 15, 2018 5:56 pm

I seriously doubt a judge would be ok with her living w a man she has only known for a few months.
I would say if Ean was a decent father he’d put a stop to it...we know Brittany would just run to the courthouse for a quit marriage to “fix” things.

Britney definitely needs help ASAP! Her urge to have the perfect vlogging family, big fancy house and husband is affecting the future of her children. Not to mention, the denial she is in regards to Nolan’s terminal illness is also a huge factor in all of this. I also don’t understand why many of these YouTube moms are also in such a hurry to have a newborn when their children are still so young and while they are still so young, too. Like, no one is chasing you to have a newborn or you aren’t in a completion (I guess being in YouTube it kind of is for them). Britney is clearly trying to cover some drop black holes from her childhood and unfortunately, she is going about it completely wrong. Her excuse of using other people successful stories as her own are also in no way acceptable, because most of those stories does not include 3 little innocent children.

i have suspected for awhile she is a sociopath/psychopath. there is interesting articles about the illness. Most people associate them with murder or serious crimes , but info says alot of them live normal lives but have very destructive behavior involving family, friends, work etc...

There is something not right about her, can't put finger on it. She needs help.

I have known people that have no emotions. She reminds me of them. It’s like she has a barrier up and doesn’t want to cry. Her face always has a blank stare. She doesn’t even show emotion with frank.

I've said for a while she has the signs/symptoms of BPD.

Not trying to diagnose her, it's just plain as day for me to see it.

Oh Frankie boy... already lying? And this dumbass believes him. Don’t worry about the fact that it’s his username and his profile picture, it’s defs a fake right?? Red flag #67. If he will lie to you about something as simple and irrelevant as this what else will he lie to you about Brit Brit?

The fact that she even considers having another child that could potentially have DMD makes me furious. My old boss’ son had DMD, they chose not to have anymore children because they didn’t want to risk. I watched him decline over the years from a little boy who ran and played sports to not being able to run at all, he struggled to walk and he slowly had to use a wheelchair more and more until he was in his chair full time by the age of 12 and he was on oxygen from the time he was 10 and needed the oxygen full time by the time he was 14. They gave him every opportunity and they took him on trips and he lived a very good life, he had friends and he met his favourite sports players and he went to Disneyland and all of that. Unfortunately he passed away when he was SIXTEEN. He never kissed a girl, never had sex, never fell in love, never had kids, he never got drunk or had a job, he didn’t finish school, he couldn’t play sports (and he was sports mad). Even though his parents gave everything they had into giving him the best life possible he didn’t live a full life because he didn’t get to experience everything he should have.
DMD is a cruel disease and it slowly strips away every piece of a person until they die years before they should. To KNOWINGLY have children that could potentially have this disease is neglectful, irresponsible and SELFISH. Britney is a selfish piece of shit.

I would say if Ean was a decent father he’d put a stop to it...we know Brittany would just run to the courthouse for a quit marriage to “fix” things.

Britney is and has been a stay-at-home mother for the children's entire lives. She has handled getting the children to and from school, to doctor appointments, and to activities. Ean works a full-time job and would need to secure daycare. Britney has established a comfortable home for the children; Ean may still be living with a relative. Britney makes more money than Ean- these are some of the factors a judge would look at and he/she would rule in Britney's favor. Ean has already accepted the arrangement that he sees the kids every other weekend. Once a pattern of visitation is established, courts are reluctant to change things. Judges don't care about boyfriends/girlfriends unless there is criminal activity going on.

The one thing I do respect Britney and Ean for is keeping this out of the courts and not using the kids as pawns. Britney has never showed that the kids are in danger with her. As much as it’s stupid to bring a new man in so soon there is no evidence he is abusive or harmed the kids.

New man, new relationship, new house, new baby = $$$$$$$$$$$$$

Britney would be like "Ean, Aria, Nolan and Harlow who????? Oh yeah them who cares. It's all about my NEW future with Franenweenie." Poor kids would be better off with Ean to get away from creepy Frank and their wacko mother. I really hope that Nolan gets the care he needs in the future.
