There are a lot of babies big like that. We have a newspaper here where there is a part with pictures and dates of the babies born that week, professional photographed for that page payed from the hospital (1 picture per family).
So there are less babies under 4kg. Even 4,5kg you see more often.

Compared to my cousins baby with only 590g it´s huge. 8-)

In Canada we had to watch 2 videos. We didn’t because they forgot to show us lol. Small town hospital.
Anyways, we were supposed to be shown “the period of purple crying”, so you don’t shake your baby and then another one about basic care. I would think it would be similar in the US

Ok, so I take back what I said about Rachelle's photographer being a quality one... Just saw the video and she literally had her naked and outdoors in bushes! From what I have learned researching newborn photography, it is done in a studio with heaters to ensure the babies do not get cold. And then Rachelle had a fan on her in the car. They clearly do not understand newborn temperature control... Thankfully Emma didn't seem to mind and slept through it.

Did this bitch just take her four day old newborn out of the house to put her in a flower pot? For what? Some creepy photos?

And yes, stop petting and tapping your exhausted baby, Rachelle. She's not a dog. Let the kid sleep, Jesus.

AND AND stop saying Mister doesn't care about the baby. He was interested when you first brought her home (and probably missed you) but as usual you ignored him to love on your dog. Anytime he comes around you let the dog chase him away. He's learned his lesson.

Am I the only one who thinks it's... odd for Rachelle to try to get her six day old on a schedule?

I'm not a parent so honest question: is it troubling for a photographer to ask parents to keep a four day old baby awake and hungry for at least an hour so that she'll pass out when you put her in a flower pot?

It’s extremely odd. And cruel if you ask me. Baby just got shot out of their nice warm comfy home in the womb, into this big scary world with lots of new smells, sounds, things to see. They need rest. God she is insane.

Looks like a book on how to sleep train your infant. She’s hellbent on getting that newborn on a sleep schedule. News flash- newborns sleep on THEIR schedule.

I have a few things to say;
1. Rachelle’s teeth are terrible. Like damn, you can brush your teeth two times a day with a newborn.
2. I didn’t my newborn shoot outdoors as well but it was in our front yard. He was kept off the ground and bushes though. He was also 2 weeks old by that time. I wish she had told me to keep him awake because we could barely get any sleeping photos.
3. She’s in for a rude awakening. My son is 15 months and didn’t start sleeping through the night until 12 months and he’s breastfed. Emma will most likely be the same and that’s normal. She can try all she wants, and even if she does succeed, the baby will go through tons of leaps and bouts of teething. That will set Emma back on her sleep. So there’s no point in trying to sleep train until your baby is old enough to be able to sleep through the night without nursing and without waking due to teething issues.
4. Stop for the love of god bouncing Emma. She isn’t a doll. She’s a human and it bugs the fuck out of me that she bounces her so much. Put her down, let her sleep. That poor child never gets any peace.

Emma is not a dog. A newborn is not trainable to suit your convenience or lifestyle. You can't sleep train a newborn, dingbat. You and Justin spent a shit ton of cash to get this baby, now take care of it properly! I swear they only wanted a baby for the photoshoots... Should've just gotten a reborn doll or something if they wanted a baby that didn't keep them up or require any work, but looked pretty for Instagram posts....

First time posting on this thread... she needs to stop shaking that baby! She thinks she’s bouncing/tapping her, but look at how her little head moves!!! STOP!!! And omg who tf tries to get a newborn on a sleeping schedule?! They eat every 2-3 hours, poop, sleep and repeat on THEIR own time Rachelle. Get over yourself for at least a year, it’s about Emma now, it’s her world and you’re just living in it until she’s old enough to be sleep trained and put on a schedule. I thought you wanted her more than anything, if so, learn to live by newborn/infant rules for quite a while!!!

I might be the unpopular opinion but I don’t think she’s very cute. I mean sure, all newborns are CUTE because they’re newborn, but, well, you know what I mean.

I totally agree! I was going to say the same thing but didn’t want to get attacked lol. She’s just not the cutest baby I’ve seen, not even close and the fact that she looks 5-6 months old throws me off a little. But I know I’m a evil bitch for saying that but I just can’t help myself, all the comments on their vlogs are like “she is the cutest baby I’ve ever seen!!!!1 ImageImageImage” and I’m just like where?? Lol

That is hillarious she thinks a newborn can have days and nights mixed up. Emma will be a very unhappy baby if she doesn’t let her sleep. My cousins baby was so cranky because she did that. She gets a little pass because it’s her first kid. She will learn . It’s all a learning process.

I think most newborns have their days and nights mixed up, just from being in the womb. Getting rocked to sleep during the day while mom is up and being still at night while mom is trying to sleep. But still the fact that she’s trying to sleep train her baby that’s less than a week old is insane
