I wanted to smack her hand away. Emma was clearly not liking it one bit! If your baby is asleep leave it the fuck alone! She will seriously regret not resting more when emma is sleeping. I know the whole “sleep when baby sleeps” advice is OLD school, but it seriously is the only thing that got me through the long nights awake. If your baby sleeps well during the day eat, shower and have a nap too! Nothing else matters for the first few weeks.here4thepopcorn wrote:THIS! She was driving me crazy with the constant belly scratching and petting! Your baby is not a pet, Rachelle!!!SDV wrote:
And yes, stop petting and tapping your exhausted baby, Rachelle. She's not a dog. Let the kid sleep, Jesus.
Agree with whoever said she only wanted a baby for the photoshoots - nothing is truer!
I’m surprised shes not expressing already so Justin can feed Emma too. I can imagine her making a song and dance about feeding at night. For the first week of my sons life hubby got up to help because we were tube feeding him due to a severe tongue tie. Which meant i had to express as well. After we had that sorted I was the only one who got up, we kept the house dark (one tiny lamp on), changed then fed baby and back to bed. During the day all curtains pulled open, loads of light, baby in bed in its own room not living space and it worked well.
