8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
Nice to see I was about right with my prediction of the girl's adult heights. The nurse said they are both a hair short of 4'10" tall. Assuming they both keep growing and stay around their current percentile for height as they get later into their teen years, Julie will end up at 5'7" and Abby at 5'3" (plus or minus an inch). Poor Shari at 4'11". I imagine she'll be a bit annoyed to see her younger sisters growing several inches taller than her over the next few years.
Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
With Shari being so small, which is kinda unusual, since both of her parents are taller than her, I don't understand why they are not getting Evie checked at the doctors office. They recently mentioned that she's in the same size of clothes for 18 (?) months now, which again is pretty unusual at that age. But instead of getting her checked, they are force feeding her eggs and cheese....ctx2002 wrote:Nice to see I was about right with my prediction of the girl's adult heights. I'm still not over the recent video of Julie faking sick. There are so many things wrong with that video.

There is clearly something going on with the kid. Instead of living up to their parental obligations, Ruby is using it as 'content', while Kevin sits back, letting it happen. Twisted! It's on them to ease the stress of their child and provide her with adequate resources! Pre-teen years can be an immense stressor, especially when you constantly have a camera shoved in your face!bbaby18 wrote:I'm still not over the recent video of Julie faking sick. Consider yourself lucky, if you had parents that actually lived up to their role.

I don't really watch Shari's videos much but I clicked on one today and found it quite refreshing in that it sets a good example for the kids who are watching her vlogs. I don't like the way she's all "public school sucks" but she wasn't doing that this time so it was quite pleasant. I also like that it wasn't all about makeup and clothes and goofing around with her maybe-but-maybe-not boyfriend. The French is a little dicey- not sure what they're trying to teach the kids (random vocab? grammar? random phrases?) but it's definitely very Bible-based. That sentence she was listening to over and over again was "All human being, men and women, are made in the image of God". Seems like an unusual way to learn a language but whatever floats your boat I guess.

I imagine they're putting a focus on the religious words and phrases they'll need to know if they go on a mission to a country that speaks that language.natalka81 wrote:The French is a little dicey- not sure what they're trying to teach the kids (random vocab? grammar? random phrases?) but it's definitely very Bible-based. She said "because she can't do everything."shortstop wrote:Why can’t Ruby drive her kids to the school?
I was wondering too. I think because Eve would have to get up early and ride with her and then rush to preschool.
Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
I actually kinda enjoyed today's vlog. It was the first one in a long time which wasn't scripted. I wish they'd have these normal vlogs more often.
Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
Really, Ruby? We're doing "cliffhanger" vlog endings now? At least it's an excuse to make two vlogs out of one day's worth of footage. I really hope she's sticking to her word about asking the kids if certain conversations or situations are okay with them for her to post where hundreds of thousands of people can watch. Then again Eve, Russell, and maybe Julie are too young to fully understand, anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if she basically bribes the older kids off camera into letting her post the more awkward or potentially embarrassing moments. And 10% of today's vlog time was a cookbook ad.
Also, does anyone else think Eve tends to make somewhat odd facial expressions? I mean as though she's exaggerating or acting a bit to get a certain response. I remember some other posters here saying before that she seemed manipulative at times. Admittedly, I usually skip past the 'scenes' focused on her, so I could be wrong!

Is that what today's video was about? Chad's hygiene? I didn't want to watch. Omg that's insane.natalka81 wrote:"Yes, mom, it's totally fine for you to vlog about my poor hygiene and put it all over the internet where all my preteen friends will see. No problem."

Why does she have Eve running around in the front yard in just a leotard with the police and a suspect lurking around. Ruby’s an idiot. She thinks she’s immune to gunfire and the craziness of the world.

The entire family is pretty naive. Sometimes it's endearing, other times it is insane. Like letting Eve go missing in every single store they go to. My kids know that when they hear the police helicopters at night, they lock the doors because someone is running loose looking for a place to hide.mmarier wrote:Why does she have Eve running around in the front yard in just a leotard with the police and a suspect lurking around. That is so embarrassing for Abby. Why would her mom tell everyone she didn’t brush her teeth and that her hair is greasy. Ruby shouldn’t even be talking I can’t even count the number of times her hair has looked super greasy.
If Abby doesn’t brush her teeth or shower it’s because she saw her aunts Ellie and Bonnie do that and learned it from them.

No it was Abby. She was pretty vague about the chat she had with Chad. Left us hanging for the whole vlog.Sweetiebee wrote:Is that what today's video was about? Chad's hygiene?
