I think one of the real challenges of raising multiples must be how to get kids some space from each other, and some quiet. Most kids need some of that most days, and some kids need a lot. There is no provision for it with the Gardners---everything is done loudly, in a group. They don't even try to engage the children one at a time, yet they are home, with a nanny. It is so hard to watch! Even the Busby quints are constantly together, so it is no wonder they act out a lot. It would be extremely hard with four or five young ones to provide quiet time and individual attention but if it were a priority it would be so good for the kids. For instance, if both parents are home, one child can come fold the laundry with you, or set the table. Small things, but important, I think.
I have sympathy for the Busbys over this because usually Danielle is alone with the kids and they are too young to be left unsupervised. But with the Gardners there is no excuse. Little Indie hiding away---in vain, because the camera and the loud screecher will find her.
