I know we’re talking about Vanessa’s here but I don’t understand why she didn’t just tell the truth from the beginning or not say anything at all. It would have been easier to say “Lily wasn’t cleared” or “We’re having complications getting the whole family cleared so we may not go to Japan.” or just say nothing at all about moving or David’s job in general! If people ask she could have said, “Nothing is set in stone and we are choosing to David’s job off from YouTube” This goes for all youtubers in general. They continue to lie and lie to cover up previous lies but reality they just sound stupid and uneducated.

Lily's health issues are nothing new. It was said here many times that moving with the military will be difficult for them with her health needs... common sense says moving out of country with someone who sees multiple specialist doctors will be difficult. Why are they shocked or confused by this news?
I'm glad the military is looking out for Lily because her dumb parents would have moved her half way around the world not even knowing if she's have access to doctors!

Since he was stationed in Korea for a year without his family they will try to station him somewhere where he is able to bring his family. Whether V decides to move and follow him...that’s another issue. She seems really unmotivated to move. I wouldn’t be surprised if they decided to live separately and just visited each other once in a while.
Also, David was only stationed in korea, he has not yet deployed. So it’s possible he could get deployed after they move and I just cannot imagine V handling the children alone. She’d probably move back ASAP and have to pay for that out of pocket.

I noticed someone mentioned in the comments that now she wouldn't have to get rid of her animals. Like wtf? I guess animals aren't family to them. I see it all the time in the military community, they get orders to pcs and try to "rehome" their animals. She seriously has a lot of growing up to do. I would love an au pair or nanny. She should be grateful for what she has and what his career provides. I doubt she has told people that they are getting extra $ for him being away, but is quick to complain about everything else.
As far as I know, when your husband gets deployed you are free to give up your base house and move back to your home state. Idk if the move is covered but you can still give up your house and move back home and get BAH to have an apartment or rent house. She should be fine with 1 dog and 1 cat. Depending on the house she wants to move in. Mine allows 2 animals. Any after that you pay pet rent and deposit. Our base doesn’t allow small rodent animals or bunnies, hamsters, ferrets. Stuff like that. But dogs and cats are welcome. If she rehomes those animals she is just trying to get rid of them because it’s too much trouble for her. We have to have ours microchipped and registered in the system to move to the base we are currently living on. Now we are Army not Airforce or whatever David is. Not sure if there’s a big difference but we live on a joint base. It’s an Army/ Airforce base. I do agree that Vanessa is too comfortable where she’s at and probably doesn’t want to move.
Can I just say I was 100% right this whole time and do my bragging dance? Lol I know what it's like to be overseas. I know you don't need to be cleared by a dentist. I know they're very strict as far as children's needs go. I had a feeling she was lying from day 1,she probably just wanted to sound more interesting. As a military spouse, I know NOTHING is EVER set in stone, so I never say anything. Vanessa needs to learn a thing or two. Now if David is getting out, theeeeeen I'd be right about that plot twist I mentioned in the other thread. Also, just wanna mention, I went through leaps and bounds to get my dog to Hawaii with our family. He had to stay with my mom for six months, but I was able to get him there. He goes wherever we go, because he's family. The problem with military families is they seem to think it's okay to get a new dog at every duty station. (I have a few friends like that) and drop them. It's very confusing and upsetting for the kids.
Also I just wanna mention I've been saying since day one that David shouldn't have joined, especially with Lilly's special needs. When my husband joined we took everything into account, and he considered my feelings, and ultimately we knew we could handle it together. They seem to have a rough time living WITH eachother, let alone separately.

She would be coming out of pocket to move home. Military will only cover pcs moves and a move when you get out. I guess she was gonna rehome her animals if she got japan
People getting animals on a whim and then rehoming them because they don't realize they actually take work is one of my huge pet peeves. I know Vanessa hasn't rehomed her animals, but the fact that she was even thinking about it is disgusting. It's easy enough to move small animals, and it may be somewhat of an inconvenience to move them for what...a day or two? But isn't that day or two worth it for a pet that's staying with you for their whole life?

Yup, spot on! So is it a common thing to be in the military for what? two years tops? and then to just quit? That seems like the initial investment of training and stuff would just go to waste, right?
I didn't predict her staying just because I am ignorant about anything related to military life. I just can't imagine V adapting to the military life of always moving. I feel like David chose to join simply because he thought it would be easy doesn't need to commit to getting a degree or put in the hard work needed for promotions at any company.
