Haleigh Everts
Re: Haleigh Everts
I have family members who have earned this degree, as well. And while I dont necessarily think It's a bad thing. At least work hard for it. Don't spend the money and then fail your classes.Goldrose wrote:People who get this degree at BYU went to college to get married and be SAHM. I have friends, who openly admitted that. I think she said that she always wanted to be a mom and wife. I guess college isn’t for everyone and BYU is a hard school. CJ seems to be pretty smart tho. Intellect can be a huge issue in their marriage.
I think what bothers me most is she claims to be a "marriage expert" because she took a couple cooking classes. Or a parenting expert because she took a human development class. Most degrees require you to take similar electives.
One of her IG or YouTube videos said that she hates when other moms "think they know more" because they have more kids or have more experience. And I was sitting there thinking "they do!!!" Give credit where credit is due!

I'm totally all for teaching your children to learn from your mistakes. But do you really want your kids watching a video you made singling out every way you were "naughty?" And talking about it in depth while they are popping in and out of the shot.Blossom76 wrote:In all honesty good though, that video was super inappropriate, talking about stuff like that in front of her child, she should be ashamedKtrad87 wrote:She removed her sex tape, too. HahaBlossom76 wrote:Looks like we really pissed her off ladies!
facebook blog account is now gone, her 'joint account' with her hubby is now just called CJ Everts, her Instagram is removed from what I can tell (just leads to a 'page not found' message) and twitter is gone as well.
Youtube is still there including her 'sex story/porn story' video, where she talks about dudes she's slept with in front of her daughter - but you know, she doesn't want anyone knowing anything personal about her anymore! And doesn't want her daughter in any of her videos.
Good grief.
Sure, I'll tell my kids about the poor choices I've made in my life...when they are older. And I'll give the details that are applicable to the situation. And I'll use "grown up" words. Ugh. The "naughty" thing is so obnoxious.

they announced being pregnant with ireland around christmas with a sign that said “we’ve been naughty” *barf*
Re: Haleigh Everts
Did she really sleep with so many guys before she got married? I don’t judge her for that. I always thought CJ was her first. Now I can totally see him telling her she’s not good enough because she had sex before.

For a girl who didn't want to be viewed as a "little hooker" anymore, this was definitely an ODD choice.

I dont judge anyone for anything they have done in the past that they've tried to right. Especially when it comes to sexuality. Not my place. But CJ was far from her first. She started having sex with her high school boyfriend within weeks of her being baptised - And didn't see the issue. Because "in [her] mind, she was already married." And then with many other guys in and after college.Goldrose wrote:Did she really sleep with so many guys before she got married? I don’t judge her for that. I always thought CJ was her first. That being said, it's one thing you want to share that you understand and have gone through sexual sin and the repentance process a whole other thing to be writing or talking about everything you've done in explicit detail for the world to see. That's over sharing. Nobody wants to know that except the sickos of the world.

No, she took it down. But it's talked about in detail in her book. Which I'm sure she can't pull off shelves or anything. She doesn't have rights to it.
She did say in one of her IG live videos that she hasn't received any money from the publishing company for her book. Which makes me believe that the book flopped. Publishing companies don't pay their authors until after they've recovered their costs to publish. So some of her followers and family members obviously purchased. But i can't imagine many others did. There are only a handful of reviews. So that project, as of whenever she did that video, hadn't brought in any income.

She was definitely hoping that she’ll be the next Al Fox. I don’t like Al, as I feel like she’s faking her happiness and her social media picture, but she’s much more sofisticated and at one point she was directly employed by the LDS church. I only read a part of Haleigh’s book. I didn’t enjoy the style it was written in. Her story isn’t unique and Im honestly shocked she even published her book. In one of her insta stories she said how she can’t handle bad book reviews.Ktrad87 wrote:No, she took it down. But it's talked about in detail in her book. Al does seem super uber happy doesn't she? It is hard to believe someone is always that happy, its kinda annoying! she does have an epic conversation story but thats the only thing I've seen her speak on, I did really like Al's book.Goldrose wrote:She was definitely hoping that she’ll be the next Al Fox. But yeah Haleigh certainly aint no Al Fox, and Haleigh's book was not good at all, basically a run down of how many people she slept with before she got married, not very spiritual at all in my opinion
Re: Haleigh Everts
I don’t know much about Al Fox; just that she has tattoos and is famous. I think Haleigh was definitely trying to be the next Al Foxbut because she doesn’t have the resources to get to her quality of posts, she tried the “I keep it real” approach which ended up backfiring.

Re: Haleigh Everts
I was even looking for a forum on Al Fox cause I really like her but I do think the same, there’s no way you live your life all the time happy and all blessed and all full of faith, not true, I read her marriage book (aka I’m LDS too) and it was really good, despite certain comments that I’ve heard from people who have read it, for example a common one that I’ve heard is that she chose a returned missionary younger than her to have him raise kids and do everything and she could pursue a carrier and not take care of anything. Which I don’t really think it’s true, cause life for all of us is not the same, and the LDS people want to show that everything is perfect the man is the bread winner and the mom the amazing baker that does all of the Pinterest recipes and diys (just like Haleigh) and that’s not even close to reality!!! There’s tons of stuff like this Haleigh pretending that just because she’s a convert and she repented oh now she has the right and allll the experience to tell people they need to repent heck no!!! Also changing the way she is just to have validation of a man which sadly ended up being her husband! That’s not life! That’s a miserable way of seeing how marriage is
Re: Haleigh Everts
Haleighs gonna have to do something, the attention is starting to wane from the 'I quit' video, how will she ever survive off just the attention of this forum of 'haters'?
Re: Haleigh Everts
I didn't read Al's "Cheers to Eternity" and correct me if I'm wrong, but did she really write a book about marriage like three years after she got married? That's kinda strange. Al doesn't have it perfect either. Husband is still in school. He must be way younger than her. I'm sure they hustle for money too. But I doubt they're on welfare. Overall her and her family are better example to younger LDS members. But like I said...I think she's faking at least a little bit.
Re: Haleigh Everts
I read her conversion book, the 'more than the tattooed mormon' one, I didn't read her marriage one (didn't know it existed) but I agree I don't think anyone who's been married for 3 years has any place writing a book on how to have a successful marriage, but yes a way better example to young church members than skanky Haleigh!Goldrose wrote:I didn't read Al's "Cheers to Eternity" and correct me if I'm wrong, but did she really write a book about marriage like three years after she got married?
