I haven't read anything Al Fox has written, but know the basics.of her conversion. The trouble, besides the horrible writing of Haleigh's book, is Fox already cornered the market on conversion. She did it, and she apparently did it well!! If her book was bad, she wouldn't be the viral social media sensation and public church figure she is. But she got to it first. Copy cats don't make money. Haleigh's book was published by the SAME company who did Al's. The publisher must not have believed in the book much, because it was poorly marketed. I mean, Haleigh spent much of her time creating "hype" for it. I didn't see Cedar Fort putting forth the effort they did to market Haleigh's book like they did Al's.

However, by the sounds of it, there was a real conversion story in The Tatooed Mormon. As in it actually focused on church, faith, and relationship with God.

Haleigh's was a confessional of a teenager. And it definitely difficult to get past how naive and juvenile it was. I have a hard time when people who have never had a healthy relationship give advice on relationships.

Supposedly her high school boyfriend was abusive. However, she dedicated several chapters of her book explaining how incredibly wonderful he was.

After they broke up, she had "boy" after "boy" so many "non-commital make outs" which resulted in no relationship. Then a "fiance" who got her to sleep with him, and then he ghosted her. (But I would, too, if my significant other showed up at my house and banged on the door at all hours of the day/night.) Then she admitted to sleeping with some girl's boyfriend. The list goes on.

She also admits that she has almost no relationship with any of her siblings and she has zero relationship with her own mother! (And alledges that her dad was also emotionally abusive. Which may be true...women who were raised in abuse often seek it out in their romantic relationships.)

Last, she admits to "not liking" her husband...and her husband doesn't give two craps.

I don't see the qualifications to be an expert in marriage or family relationships. Perhaps she should have written a memoir on "what not to do."

This might sound very mean but I think that they both were like the 'rejects' that no one wanted to marry, Haleigh because lets face it the members of the ward would think of her as a slut, and serious men of faith might flirt with girls like that (and use them for sex) but they certainly don't want to marry them, and CJ who proposed within a month, his taxi light just went off and had to marry someone, she was desperate enough to say yes AND accept all his bullshit conditions on what he wanted her to change about herself to be 'worthy' of him.

Haleigh didn’t have the best family relationships and she naturally seeks love and partnerships, which she seems as the only form of happiness. It almost seems like this girl can’t be alone. I don’t think she knows how to be single.
Fast engagement within the lds community isn’t so rare, but they rushed it for sure. CJ wanted to marry a pretty girl...and so he did

While I totally agree that health is important. And i also agree that you need *some* commonalities in a relationship. However, changing just about everything about you to please someone else shows that you are not confident in who you are.

I also realize that not everyone has great self-esteem. So perhaps that is why Haleigh was so quick to please.

Although, personally i see no problem with the weight-loss. I think she looks great. It's hard to be heavy and have the self-consciousness that accompanies it. I do find it odd that the REASON she lost weight was to make someone else happy - not herself. And continually be criticized for it when she fluctuates. Also being reminded "i won't be attracted to you id you arent MY ideal thinness."

The great thing about weight loss and weight maintenance is you can decide what is healthy or works for you. In her case, she has someone deciding that for her.

Hey ladies, check out minute mark 3.59 on this youtube video by Heidi Sonboul, she says Haleigh had death threats for being Christian. I didn't see a thing about death threats? I didn't see the Instagram stories the day she pulled everything down though, unless it was in there? Its news to me anyway. Anyone know anything about this?

Of course death threats is horrible and very serious but I think this Heidi person may be giving out false information, trying to cash in on some feed through to her channel from Haleigh's leaving video, she does comment on the video saying

"I just posted a video and I listed you in my list of favorite YouTubers Thanks for always inspiring me.
I'm also going to send you an email tomorrow. I need to chat with you about all of this and something I've been prompted to do."

I didn't see the Instagram stories the day she pulled everything down though, unless it was in there? Its news to me anyway. Anyone know anything about this?

I never heard anything about death threats, and I almost feel as though that is something she would've mentioned if it's true.

Her "goodbye" insta story was basically: "I had to break my social media fast to come on here, some things have come to light recently. People are trying to hurt my family, even financially, and I don't want to wait to see what the next thing they do will be." It was like 2 minutes in total, but that's the gist of it. She NEVER mentioned death threats or anything on social media. So I wonder where that girl got that idea from....

How could this person possibly know any details? I think she probably only assumed what happened to the Everts. Different people can interpret things differently. And since “Haleigh’s friend” called me out on my comment about food stamps and not reporting to the IRS, I truly think it’s related to that.

Yeah I think you're right on that one, especially since the instagram story said people were trying to hurt her family financially, so food stamp eligibly makes sense

I think this Heidi girl is only trying to get her really crappy youtube channel any traffic she can, but we're the haters lol!

It definitely could be that she's losing her food stamps. You have to be incredibly low income in order to qualify (I've been on food stamps before, but we used the system correctly...used it for a few MONTHS to get us put of our hole. Not for THREE YEARS!!)

She must be doing ok with her Maskara stuff because she sells to all her followers to buy into the mlm make-up market. Personally, i think it's all vs. You can find qualiflty make up for way less money.

But anyway chances are she isn't being forthright with her actual income. With "home businesses" you have to keep track and pay taxes on your own. The company you're distributing for doesn't usually do that.
