There is something called spasmodic croup which comes on suddenly usually in the night which i believe is caused by an allergic reaction. This seems more likely to me as she didn't seem to have any other symptoms and had just had the flu sprayWgchick22 wrote:I don’t have experience with crup, thankfully. But does it come on that fast? Re: Gardner Quad Squad | Our Story Unraveling | Part 33
And why was Trashley holding the patient? For a photo-op? Otherwise she would have been left laying on the gurney. Of course her post had to turn it all about her, she asked if Indie felt better and safe because Mama was there to keep her safe and of course Indie said yes. Yea, that's exactly the kind of thing a normal mother would post. How do they ever hear the cats any other night if they run a fan all the time. I think a million holes can be poked in this newest story. I hope some posters/KADs snap out of their sympathy induced brain fog soon to pose a few questions to the hapless parents; just like when they staged the blackout.

If you recall, they didn't call an ambulance for Anny Nash when she hurt her leg. That is another instance when calling an ambulance would have been the best thing to do. Instead, I think Fatty and someone else carried her out to the car when she couldn't bend her leg at all. I'm sure that was pleasant for Nash.Haulnarse wrote:Gram3 if thats the case they are complete and utter arseholes.

That sounds about right. I would be curious to know if she had any allergy symptoms before croup - hives, itching and if she did whether or not they were paid any attention.RolyPoly123 wrote:There is something called spasmodic croup which comes on suddenly usually in the night which i believe is caused by an allergic reaction. Wasnt indie the only one to have her full dose of that mist?
I feel for Indie-- poor kid must be terrified. But knowing how these two don't have a nurturing bone in their bodies, I have to say that I don't feel really bad for them. And actually filming her getting her breathing treatment and posting pictures of it publicly is not ok.

Re: Gardner Quad Squad | Our Story Unraveling | Part 33
The only thing about transferring her to another hospital is that some hospitals don't have a good pediatric setup. When I worked at the PICU in Austin, we took kids from all around, because not all of the small local hospitals had pediatric units. That's the one part I get out of all of this. And yes-- they're salivating over the potential views. Have been hoping for something like this ever since Hazy B broke her arm

Re: Gardner Quad Squad | Our Story Unraveling | Part 33
It depends on your insurance plan. My plan doesn't charge for an ambulance trip. They are self-employed and may have a high deductible plan. There are alot of variables. They also could have an insurance plan through a church organization and may have low expenses. Just speculation about them not wanting to pay for an ambulance.RolyPoly123 wrote:It never occurred to me that you have to pay for an ambulance! i really do take our NHS in the Uk for granted sometimes

NOT defending her, but with little ones, we'll let the parents hold them and give them the breathing treatment. It makes things easier for everyone.gram3 wrote:And why was Trashley holding the patient? For a photo-op? Otherwise she would have been left laying on the gurney. If her O2 sats (not "stats"-- she really is a moron) were really down to 68, that's not good.
The epinephrine and steroids make it sound like an allergic reaction to me.

Re: Gardner Quad Squad | Our Story Unraveling | Part 33
When I saw they had the flu mist I had to google it because being PREEMIES I thought was a red flag on not using the mist. Also, if they’ve had croup before, that goes hand in hand with breathing troubles and they should have been told they would only get shots. Indie was the only one that got the flu mist correctly and we never heard her cough in previous vlogs so I would presume they were connected.

They dont exactly strike me as the type of parents who google and ask questions before “jumping in”. They take what is offered and don’t ask any questions (medical treatments, freebies, po box hauls, etc).
Does anyone know what the FF’s medical bills were like from birth/nicu stay? Has it ever been mentioned who paid for that?

Re: Gardner Quad Squad | Our Story Unraveling | Part 33
I really know that about holding the child, I was being a little bit snotty. Trashley wasn't averse to having a picture taken though. My grandson was born 17 years ago weighing 1 lb 12 ozs and 12 inches long. I've spent a fair share of time in the NICU and ERs. Not once could I have imagined in the midst of a serious situation worrying about taking a picture for or updating anyone. Especially strangers.lmmomSD wrote:NOT defending her, but with little ones, we'll let the parents hold them and give them the breathing treatment. Re: Gardner Quad Squad | Our Story Unraveling | Part 33
How they handle this whole event in their vlog will solidify what type of parents they are. I foresee this whole thing being vlogged and over dramatized with the focus on Ashley and it will further show what kind of pieces of shit they are. If my kid is rushed to the hospital I would never think to pull out my camera to video the whole thing. I would be focused on my child. But I’m going to expect pouty faces from the “mother” the whole time.

Re: Gardner Quad Squad | Our Story Unraveling | Part 33
So your child can't breathe, is turning blue and you don't call an ambulance????? That's neglect. Then there are two of them there and they have to wait for someone to come sit with the other girls to drive her to the hospital when she can't breathe????? One of you can't rush her there and the other follow when someone arrives to stay with the others. That is also neglect. Then you are so concerned for her well being that you have time to take pictures and post it and go home when the others are with family????
If her 02 sats were 68% that is bad and shame on you for delaying her care. The transfer to another hospital is possibly because there is no pediatrics department at the hospital where they took her or they don't they may have wanted her observed in a pediatric icu unit for a higher level of care overnight and that hospital did not have that type of unit.
Hopefully this will be a wakeup call for them and not just another opportunity to get views and exploit their children. I seriously doubt it though. As soon as she was stable, I bet their first thought was how they had to post everything right away. Unbelievable!!!

Holy drama. Have you read the QTK explanation? It has way more details and is so over the top acting like she’s the most amazing mother in the world.

Re: Gardner Quad Squad | Our Story Unraveling | Part 33
Although I also think it was allergic reaction, croup can and does come on out of nowhere. My son had it last year and wasn't even remotely sick, but then woke up with a little cough. The cough got worse throughout the day and by 5 pm, he had a fever and was struggling to breathe. We took him to urgent care and his oxygen was fine, thankfully. They just said that's how croup is and the steroid would help open his airway.

Re: Gardner Quad Squad | Our Story Unraveling | Part 33
I think FlabbyBlabbyDaddy talked about that in one of his sessions. I believe he was w o r k i n g at a job (hard to believe) and had insurance. He was on paternity leave from that job and was going to go back or something but quit to stay at home. And I think there was a mention of some insurance Ashley had too. Maybe from her job. Maybe someone else can fill in the rest and won't be so sketchy on the details.Haulnarse wrote:They dont exactly strike me as the type of parents who google and ask questions before “jumping in”.
