I find it so strange that they set this thing up today with the kids possibly being "in trouble" at school. It seems like a very unfortunate way to start off their journey in education by teasing them into thinking that when the teacher calls it's because the kids are doing something bad. Yeah sure it's a joke for YouTube but a. it isn't particularly funny and b. the kids can't possibly understand it

Yup, I agree. They very clearly wanted to do an 8 Passengers-type video in hopes they'd get more views from an audience like Ruby's.natalka81 wrote:I find it so strange that they set this thing up today with the kids possibly being "in trouble" at school. Maybe I’m thinking of a different vlog. I feel like it was maybe on the way to a double date at the movies if it wasn’t in Lincoln’s birth vlog. I’ll try to find the clip I’m thinking of and post it.pineberry wrote:Pency wrote:I swear that video has been deleted. I can't find it. I was curious about this & went to look for the video to see if this was true, & found the sequence that Pency is talking about... it is in Lincolns birth vlog ( , at minute 02:50.
Jared and Ellie are seen walking towards the hospital vlogging themselves, and I re-played the sequence numerous times, but I can NOT see them "dropping hands" and Ellie "grabbing her phone" as Pency stated above. They vlog, talk and laugh together as normal, nothing weird at any point. So have no idea where Pency got this "they dropped hands and ellie grabbed her phone" from, but it is definitely not true.
I´m not saying that their loveydovey behavior is not an act, nobody really knows unless they are there with them 24/7. But when someone states something here that is obviously a lie, that is SLIGHTLY annoying tbh.

Wherever they were they were on floor above E&J and looking down at them. Maybe a hotel or a different hospital visit? Maybe they were to visit someone else?winniewise wrote:Maybe I’m thinking of a different vlog. I feel like it was maybe on the way to a double date at the movies if it wasn’t in Lincoln’s birth vlog. Please do look for it winniewise as I am genuinely curious to see it!
As much as I agree with the video and what the lady says about family vloggers, lets be real here, do you REALLY want these mommy vloggers to stop what they are doing? I´m just saying because the people on here seem to really enjoy watching all these mommy vlogs and tearing them apart for every little thing (dont get me wrong - some stuff I agree with, other stuff just seems nitpicky and ridiculous). Would this forum not go totally downhill if these vlogs were to stop? Would some of you not actually miss having somebody to hate on? I ask this not to criticize but I am genuinely curious. As much as people on here are like "omg she needs to STOP! Wish she would go away forever!" I feel like deep down they enjoy watching these vlogs & finding things that aren´t "right" and can be judged.Sweetiebee wrote:That was good but she was too nice! Nope. I honestly would be just fine. Unlike the whackadoodle minions who act like their lives would be over if these people stopped "sharing their lives". Those are the people I would be concerned about. The people I've made friends with here, I would still be friends with.

Yep, looks like placebo effect is happening here! Ellie says she can already tell the difference! I thought we were going to make it through the vlog without mentioning her health, but nope, had to come up at the end!Manitowoc123 wrote:Lol!!! I admit that I happily watched these mommy vloggers for years - I mean I truly started watch E+J from their very first infertility vlogs. I remember when Ruby started vlogging (she was very unrelatable and boring in the beginning I thought but quickly found her footing and was really interesting to watch a mom of 6 manage her household) and even Bonnie (I loved loved Bonnie because she wouldn’t wear makeup and she seemed to just adore her husband who was working all the time and she was a very relatable young SAHM). I think I watched because I was in a similar stage of life and I liked these stripped down mommy characters on YouTube. I liked seeing how they got through their day with young children. I liked seeing how they fed their families on a budget. 3 years ago I NEVER would have come on a snark site because I genuinely liked this family of vloggers. But oh man, when the money started rolling in, it was like SHIFT, SHIFT, SHIFT. Now they ALL have become unrelatable for each their own reasons. Clickbait galore, very very expensive choices, two stay at home parents, travel trips, EXPLOITATION of their children for views - need I go on?pineberry wrote:Please do look for it winniewise as I am genuinely curious to see it!

To be honest - yes, I wish these exploitive youtube vloggers would go away. The griffiths, to me, were like one of those friends you had in high school and then when everyone came back from summer break, you realize they have changed beyond recognition. There was another forum I posted on recently - The Chatwins (young, Mormon attractive couple pregnant with triplets) - and you could see this sweet young couple beginning the youtube journey being criticized. The mom came on the forum to answer her critics and one of her questions she posed back to the forum was, “if you could have a job that allows both parents to stay home, why wouldn’t you do that?” And now that I’ve seen this video, I would direct her to that. The Chatwins and other vlogging families haven’t yet become the exploitive machine that the Griffiths and other vlogging families (Sam and Nia, Daily Dumps, SlyFamily, etc) have become - but it’s a slippery slope and I so so so highly caution them against it. I don’t think your children’s lives and privacy are worth a paycheck and two parents at home for a few years.
The woman in the video above talks about how this is the first generation of youtube kids whose lives were exploited without consent and we will begin to see the repercussion later.
Anyway, I could go on and on, but that is my thought process. I miss the innocent youtube years of the griffiths .

Re: Ellie & Jared - Views Are Stale - Tesla For Sale | Part
I actually answered Cara Chatwin's question. I told her that no, I wouldn't do that, if it meant pimping out my kids. And it's not just about using them for a paycheck. Even seemingly innocent pictures can be photoshopped and embedded in porno sites.
The worst to me is that Ellie and Jared were told that videos of their kids were on porno sites. And they didn't stop. At least DB took away the thumbnails with Ollie sitting on a porta potty. But E&J not only didn't stop, they rubbed Lincoln's bare butt against Jared's cheek and used it for a thumbnail. They only backed off _a little_ when Bonnie got demonetized and they were afraid they might be too.
It's just wrong. When a video of your half naked child has 40 million views, those views are not coming from nice people. That many people weren't interested in Calvin's 2 week checkup.

Re: Ellie & Jared - Views Are Stale - Tesla For Sale | Part
Good grief, snoozefest once again!! Once again, a blow by blow on how Ellie feels! Earlier in this tread after the diagnoses vlog, someone posted that maybe Jared told Ellie to get checked out because he was tired of doing it all. I didn't think that when mentioned, but Jared said something yesterday that made me rethink that. When they were discussing how at 1 she was through for the day and by 5 they were saying bye to Ellie . Just the way he said it made me think maybe that person might be right. Jared may have said, okay it's time to figure out what's going on. We have three children and I can't do it all!
Wasn't it great to hear the families hygiene habits!

Ellie was probably done everyday by one because that’s when Jared came out of his office.
I still say a lot of it was just laziness and manipulating Jared to make him do everything while she relaxed.

Ellie & Jared - Views Are Stale - Tesla For Sale | Part 41
I think it will be very interesting to see the long term repercussions of YouTube fame and these young kids. So many child movie stars in Hollywood have gone on to struggle with addiction and a lot have committed suicide and these are all people who could escape the limelight and have some level of privacy in their own homes. These YouTube kids don’t have any privacy in their lives at all, not even when they’re bathing or using the toilet and they all have this unspoken pressure to perform and earn their families the big money. I will be every interested to see how it all plays out 10-15 years from now.Manitowoc123 wrote:I admit that I happily watched these mommy vloggers for years - I mean I truly started watch E+J from their very first infertility vlogs. I think it's going to be very sad for some of these kids, especially the ones like the Lannings and Leblancs, who think that their children are going to be huge stars and aren't paying attention to their education. Annie hasn't been able to get through an entire semester of middle school, in a school that's aimed at entertainment industry kids. They're so dependent on outside validation-- betting Ollie will be like her. Uneducated and desperate for likes on IG (or whatever the platform may be) and needing to have the latest materialistic thing to feel worthwhile. I hope their parents are putting money aside for therapy, but I doubt it.

So
Think they noticed that Bonnie gets more views? "What Shopping With My Sister Bonnie is Really Like". Obviously they think someone cares about that topic. All it did for me was make sure I didn't watch. And a lot of other people, from the looks of it. 8 hours and only 34K views.
