I don't think it's healthy to be around any one person 24/7. It has nothing to do with that person being an "asshole". Everybody needs their space. I love my husband and kids but I also need outside influences as well. I think that's totally normal.

Regarding the Thanksgiving picture of the kids on Bonnie's instagram, this is why I think Lincoln needs a haircut desperately. Not because of the stereotype "boys shouldn't have long hair". I think it's fine if they do. But the problem with Lincoln is that it always looks messy and sticky/crunchy? Idk how else to describe it but you'll understand if you saw the picture. Ugh. It just doesn't look good.

That's exactly my point. I don't care that he is a boy. It just looks bad.
And it's weird when they're so on top of his brothers' hair (until they got lice) and have them with these fancy cuts that take 3-5 products to look ok.
I am not against boys using products either. I just think it's silly to go through all that trouble for a little kid's haircut. Olivia needs a trim desperately too.

Bonnie is trying to make it seem like she's so on top of her sodium intake. She keeps mentioning the amount of sodium in certain items, saying how she picked the restaurant when she went out with her sisters because she needed something healthy, and the comment about not getting anything at mcdonalds. I don't think this will last long. She will be back to her old ways.

I’m not even trying to be funny or braggy but that note Olivia wrote literally looks worse than how I wrote and spelled in kindergarten. Like I have books of writing practice from kindergarten right in front of me because I was curious. I know all kids are different but yikes. It also makes me concerned for the Utah education system if simple words aren’t being corrected. Alsow and rilly?

And every time Olivia writes something out, like that note, Bonnie or Joel should make it a learning experience and explain what she spelled wrong. They can compliment her for sounding it out and say that sometimes letters are silent or silly or whatever.

Most times when Bonnie shows Olivia with a bunch of misspelled words, she thinks its cute and laughs. She needs to start TEACHING instead of thinking it's "adorable" like always. Because it's not, it's actually sad.

Pretty much every other word is misspelled. "Alsow"? 'whant"?
That's just sad. They're raising her to be functionally illiterate.

Illiteracy breeds illiteracy.. How can they teach her when they don’t get it either? Those kids need tutoring and 1-1 support. They won’t get it though because their parents don’t see a problem. History is repeating itself and we are watching it. I feel horrible for those children. It seems the entire Griffiths line has some form of retardation.

Maybe Olivia knows the truth about Santa Claus and is exposing it to Bonnie in the letter. Santa CLAWS just like Bonnie has CLAWS.

We have a conversation about the spelling every single time we see something that Olivia has written, and I wonder if she's finally at the age where it is indefensible that she cannot spell basic words? Parents and her teachers have let her down. I have no doubt that the school system has taught her how to spell these things, but she obviously needs extra help and tutoring. If they have not communicated that to Bonnie and Joel then they share some of the blame for letting her get so far behind, but at the same time her parents shouldn't look at that letter without being filled with dread and wanting to get her some extra help. For all we know the school has shared concerns and they just haven't been heeded.
