Regarding Shari, in today’s video ruby and Kevin mentioned they didn’t have any groceries so the kids would be hungry at home alone. The video Shari posted yesterday I think was from the same day right? So since they were out sat BYU she probably drove alone??

Not an excuse because Ruby or Kevin could’ve gotten on their phone and ordered (and pay ahead of time) for groceries to be delivered to the door. They can afford delivery with a YouTube salary (or order over $50 for free delivery).

I don't typically agree with their decisions but for once I was happy that they are giving back and creating a scholarship! The way they announced it and did it at Kevin's work place makes me think that this is legit. There would be too much backlash, not only online, but personally/career-wise for Kevin, if that were not the case.

Ok...who’s sister is Aunt Linda? Jennifer or gpa Griff? She looks like she could be either one of them.

Such clickbait today with the 'family intervention' vlog title and sad emoji in the thumbnail. No one was involved in this 'family' intervention about Chad's hair except Ruby. Gotta make that ad money though!

I feel bad for Chad. He reminds me a LOT of my brother growing up who has a lot of deep resentment as an adult now. The way they started talking about his hair and when Kevin said they were going to go to the barber, Chad’s entire body demeanor changed. Let the kid have long hair, he didn’t look anywhere near as disastrous as they said. I’m sure they thought it was funny, but the kid wasn’t even laughing. He said he would trim it, leave it at that and move on.

Growing up my Mom never allowed me to pick my own clothes because everything was hammy downs. I struggled with confidence and knowing what looks good on my body type, etc. I remember when I no longer had to wear hammy downs I only wore jeans and a T-shirt and my Mom would get mad and say I was boring. For 15 years I had to wear clothes I hated and didn’t even fit properly what do you expect! Chad is going to rebel soon and I can’t wait for the show!

I never had to wear hand me downs and fortunately for my next Sister, she was 7 yrs younger so she didn't either but our 3rd Sister was 2 yrs younger than her so she had plenty of hand me downs over the years. She was rebellious with her hair (wild colors and styles), piercings and her own style of clothes her Senior year when she was the only one left at home and throughout her first couple of college years.

It seemed like ruby and Shari were making Abby get makeup. Abby looked so uncomfortable and not into it. She’s 11 she doesn’t need make up, let her be a kid

Yeah, I hope they asked her how she feels about it beforehand off camera. If she's curious and wants to try it out more, then sure, but it seemed like she was basically being treated like a kind of make-up test subject by Shari. Notice that Abby didn't really speak up about any colors she liked personally or ask any questions. Then again, her body language spoke louder than words. She just gave a polite-but-tense smile and nodded along with whatever they said. I've actually noticed she does that a lot, especially in situations where she feels like she might cause conflict or disagreement between her and Ruby (or Shari). She's a bit shy and not the more assertive type like Shari and Chad are.

Poor girl was clearly uncomfortable being the center of attention for the whole vlog and having the camera all up in her face for most of it. I'll bet part of that is also because she's self-conscious about her increasing acne. I hope she isn't basically made to feel like she now has to wear make up just because they bought it for her. I can totally hear Ruby saying off camera something that boils down to, "I paid good money for this, and blah blah.", or Shari bringing it up with a passive aggressive "Hey, why aren't you wearing any make up today? You don't like it anymore?"

I love that she considered her 7 year old a toddler at one point and is now saying her 11 year old NEEDS make up to feel more put together. The strangest damn family I’ve ever encountered

Poor Russell. Yet another vlog where a YouTube child gets to have a permanent record of a bad day/private moment/emotional problem for all the world to see. It makes me very angry. And I'm sure Ruby's response would be, "We just want to show real life" and/or "He said it was okay for me to record it" and/or "We didn't record the whole thing so it's okay". None of these are satisfactory answers. Just don't do it.

I really think the kids are already to get out of their house.Kevin and Ruby don’t care about being parents anymore. They want to keep making money off their kids.It is so sad.

Today’s video made me mad and I couldn’t hold back, she is constantly putting Julie down, she went to watch her do gymnastics and the whole video up until the end was great then when they are in the car she starts on about how she doesn’t want Julie to see any negative comments about she should be doing this better or doing something else that way the she says I know she’s not great at gymnastics in fact she isn’t even average at it!! Who says that about her kid who’s doing a sport she loves to do with her sat right there!!! So I had to leave a comment I couldn’t not!

I totally agree with you and came here, to comment on the same thing. I thought what she said was alright and most possibly well intentioned, but why on earth would you say something like that in front of your child? "She isn't a good gymnast, she isn't even an average gymnast"?? That is extremely harsh to hear. And a lot harsher to hear from your own mother instead of "only" some strangers on youtube.

Wow! There is some severe behavioral issues with Russell. I wonder if he’s being bullied at school. Very concerning. Ruby better open her eyes and not the camera lens. She’s an idiot Mother..telling viewers not to criticize Julie..then she does. I bet that girl just deflated at what her own Mother said about her. That’s the worst..when Mom says things like that. Julie will remember that forever. Sad. Poor Julie got the same mouth, lip movement thing all the Griffiths sisters have. Yikes. I wonder if braces would help.

I commented that I agreed with not posting critical, but what she said would have hurt more. Got told to shut up by someone posted. If you dare say anything that is not singing the praises of any of these sisters channels, they either delete the comment or their fans act like their opinion is the only opinion to have. I am finished posting anything on any of these folks vlogs!

The lack of critical thinking skills among fans of family vloggers never ceases to amaze me. If you even offer constructive criticism, you're told that "if you don't like it, don't watch them!". You have to love everything they do, or you need to "go away". What is also funny is that they'll say "nobody's perfect" in defense of the vlogger they worship, but if anyone suggests that the vlogger isn't perfect, you're being "rude".

To be fair, the 10-12 year old demographic is usually not the strongest when it comes to critical thinking skills. ;)
