I will admit I’ve been watching The Sister Show (I can’t stand that name) because I like having podcasts/chatty videos in the background when I cook or shower or anything like that, and she and Ashleigh are much more palatable in that format imo. There’s no ads (yay) and I like hearing their views on things, especially recently Angie talked about why they don’t go to church, which was interesting. (It’s because churches in their area aren’t “diverse” and take issue with her family I guess.) Not sure if I’d call myself a fan because it’s background noise mostly, but I do like it.

I have been loving The Sister Show, but I'm very confused about the homeschool/personal channel changes. Is she concerned that makeup/beauty videos on This Gathered Nest will screw up the YouTube algorithm? Other than that, I don't understand why she can't just upload everything there.

I feel like she's become so disconnected from Noah, JJ, and Rosie since the twins were born. It's like those 3 were just fillers until she could get pregnant again. She didn't even post the whole crew on Thanksgiving. It's honestly so hard to watch and see how different the 3 are with CR compared to her

They mentioned in one of their Sister Shows that they knew doing this meant people would compare them....and I’m totally about to do that, ha. Angie’s sister is so preachy / judgy. She pretends not to be but she is SO obviously judgmental of other moms. Drives me crazy. Angie seems more genuine. I feel like her sister (I’m blanking on her name) is critical of anyone who isnt passionate about motherhood. She clearly views herself as an expert with infinite parenting wisdom.

I don't really understand this attitude of like 'its ok to seek help if you need it but being a mom is a constant joy and blessing and you should NEVER be annoyed by your kids or complain ever ever.' That kind of attitude makes me so uncomfortable because to me it smacks of a time when women were expected to do 99% of the childrearing with a smile on their face and never complain.

Newborn babies are so cute, I know, but there must be a stop sign somewhere. And 7 kids is a big red stop for me. Eh, I give her 6 months max and the number 8 will be there. (Not to mention CR looked very shocked and scared when she was talking about the new kid).

I took so much issue with her recent insta stories where she goes to Austin to give foster kids gifts.

My family used to be a low income family and on some holidays we were blessed with gifts. Fortunately, the people who got us the gifts didn’t go around recording us in our home for their own gratification.


Film yourself wrapping the gifts, organizing it or whatever. But what’s the point of taking your personal cell phone and zooming in to a woman’s face and her babies just so your followers can see what you’ve done? All of those women with their cellphones in the kids faces... ugh

I completely agree!! Nothing is sacred with these vloggers anymore! Pics or it didnt happen, right? It's great that they were able to help out but the cameras and phones were ridiculous! Did the parents even know that was going to happen??

A side note--the twins are still babies! She needs to calm down. I'm out if she gets pregnant again. I can't handle pregnant Angie.

I don't really understand how her and her sister look at having children. I have 3 kids and both times I got pregnant it was a huge deal for us and such a special thing. These girls talk about babies like they're handbags 'I've had this one for more than a year and it's getting kind of old. I want a new one!'. Like maybe think about how you're gonna put all of these kids through college? Or even how you'll afford seven teenagers? If you think all kids are a blessing then treat the ones you already have like blessings by making sure they have enough of your time and attention to grow into healthy adults ffs.

She's been REALLY high and mighty in her personal channel videos. I think it's very interesting that she and Ashleigh just keep having kids, and their younger sister apparently has zero interest in having any children. I wonder if their parents have made comments about their respective collections of children that have turned her off the idea of having her own family.

I think it's very telling that Angie said ALL her close friends are as religious as her. She's not as tolerant, open and 'cool' as she tries to portray. Being friends with people who are different from you and challenge you in your thinking is much more admirable. I have religious right wing friends but also atheist friends
