Having a complicated name myself that is often mistaken for other names/pronunciations that kid will forever be saying " no its Flynn not Finn, with an L and a Y, yes thats right F.L.Y.N.N"

To be fair I have a pretty simple and common name and still constantly get called a different version of it (Lauren vs Laura). I’ve only heard Flynn from tv and movies though. When I first heard it on Breaking Bad I instantly thought it was ugly and dorky but to each his own I guess

My daughter has a name that is a boy name until it has an extra letter at the end (think Robert vs. Roberta, but much less Golden Girls sounding, lol). Without fail, she is ALWAYS called the male version of the name at doctors appointments or by new teachers and such, who can all see that she is clearly a female and also have it written in black and white in front of them. It does get frustrating and annoying because you just want to reply "cant you read?!" every time the call her somewhere. LOL.

I feel for the kids like Hazyl Bingham who are positively doomed to go through life saying "No, it's not spelled that way", all because their parents had to be "unique"
And "y" and "e" aren't really interchangeable anyway, unless you are from Utah. Flynn isn't so bad. It's a good Irish name, so I don't think it will be mixed up that much. I am glad they picked names that mean something to them, not just to be trendy or cool.

Oh wow my daughters name is Grace, I’ve never even seen that way of spelling that ppl have suggested for u.

My sisters name is Cristine, spelled without the H. She is constantly correcting ppl. Even when she spells it for them. I can’t tell u how many times they still write it down wrong. She hates it! Lol

I know several Flynn’s personally, never had any trouble hearing the pronouncation. I actually thought it was a fairly common name. I think it’s cute.

People spell my name Ema, Emmah, and Emah. It is so annoying and the name is so common you think people would know how to spell it correctly Flynn isn’t bad I don’t think people will mess it up

I agree it is a good Irish name, and I had a strong feeling they were going to pick an undeniably Irish name because they are both Irish and apparently Ireland is a special place to them.

One question I have to ask it why does Colleen never say she is Irish? She mentions Erik being Irish and stuff but never has brought up herself being Irish even though her name is Colleen and basically the most Irish name there is for a female lol

Well... Miranda's water broke on camera in today's video... This should be interesting to see how she does this.

In other news my daughter thinks Colleen was an idiot for having Miranda give birth now and not waiting until Christmas Day to play up the whole "virgin birth" storyline... That would have been worth a whole lot of views she says haha. She still thinks Miranda will name the baby Jesus.

FYI... I decided to edit the title of this thread to include Miranda since they are the same person. I think we may end up with some new thread participants once Miranda completes her journey into motherhood. LOL.

I hope Colleen will be tactful and smart and make wise parenting decisions with how she handles this. Best case scenario she uses a doll for a while for all of the stupid things Miranda is bound to do with a newborn. She can show off the baby for the calmer, more touching moments, if Miranda has them. She has been sweet when filming with Parker from time to time.

Sorry I know I'm referring to a made up person as if she is real but considering how Miranda is worshiped by my theater loving kids and I've been dragged to her live shows more than once, I guess I'll be one of _THOSE_ people who isnt completely annoyed by Miranda hahaha. Colleen on the other hand... Well... She pushes buttons sometimes but overall I tend to like her more than I dislike her for the most part.

I'm actually intrigued to see how this will play out. She has snuck Erik in to her videos twice now as Patrick so I'm curious. Though I swear Colleen said she wasnt allowed to do anything with Patrick or Miranda's sister Emily anymore because they technically belong to Netflix since they appeared, and were spoken about, there first. Maybe that's changed now?

I had really hoped becoming a mother would mature Colleen and get rid of some of that toilet humor but no, she’s a 32 year old mom that still acts like an 8 year old boy, naming her cat’s tent the “Pee Pee Teepee” for no reason.

Colleen mentioned the other two names that were in the running for Flynn during Chris’s family Christmas vlog. They were Forest and Foster, because Erik loves the forest or something.

Funny that Flynn, Foster and Forest are all names that I've only heard from movies or tv. I don't particularly like any of the choices but they're not completely horrible either. Foster is the most hipster Erik name.

It was rude how Colleen described the gluten free cookies that her niece needed as "disgusting cardboard". She has no self awareness at all.
