Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
Is it supposed to be funny? Maybe all of it was deliberately set up? Obviously Ruby thinks it's so cute or hysterical or interesting or something that she's willing to show it to everyone. I'm completely at a loss. This goes beyond the argument of "I just want to show viewers that life's not always easy for a mom of 6" crap.

Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
There’s no way that I would ever allow my child to put a pacifier in the mouth that they found. Anywhere. And at a doctors office of all places?! That’s disgusting. I would hope when my child is eves age he will know not to put stuff in his mouth that he found on a doctors office floor...and when ruby said “the doctor thought it was funny.” What did you expect him to do? He should have scolded her because we all know ruby doesn’t.

Oh..an after thought, Ellie did NOT have skin cancer. I wish they’d stop claiming that. As a survivor..that makes my blood boil. Sorry..not sorry

And if for some reason you miss the moment where the kid shoves the pacifier into her mouth before you can take it from her, as soon as you notice, you pull it out, get her to rinse her mouth or something, and remove the pacifier completely and accompany this with a short but firm speech on how we don't put things that have been in someone else's mouth or on the floor in our mouths. Especially when we're five.

Are they still trying to say Ellie had skin cancer? SMH. She didn't. She had a _maybe_ pre-cancerous growth removed just to be on the safe side.Catface2 wrote:Oh..an after thought, Ellie did NOT have skin cancer. I wish they’d stop claiming that. My doctor would probably yell at me. And ask what the heck is wrong with me sitting there filming my child while it sucks on a baby’s binky. It’s getting to the point where I can’t watch them anymore. I took a year off from watching them and I just might take another.

Eve needs to be disciplined!!! It’s so ridiculous how ruby lets her act. She is too old to be acting like that, she’s no longer at a cute little age where you can get away with that.

When all the kids piled in the van after school and they threw a fit because Eve had another “new toy”. Ruby spoiled the shit out of her and coddles her. Her siblings can’t stand her shit anymore. Let me tell ya..Eve has Ruby’s number alright. She’s eating that shit up.

I don't watch 8 Passengers all the time but this week's vlogs I have watched all of them. Today's vlog made me say that Ruby just went into first place with craziness with these sisters! Letting a five year old get a pacifier off the floor and put it in her mouth! Yesterday Evie is finding her presents, today she's tearing into her sisters gift. That child appears in these vlogs to be very out of control! Feel sorry for her teacher when she starts school!

Typical ruby, not seeing the actual point. While I do applaud her for actually addressing comments and not just deleting them...she just isn’t getting it. The pacifier thing was disgusting. That wasn’t a “pick your battles moment”. That was a take the pacifier, put it out of reach/site, and explain to your child who is perfectly old and smart enough to understand why she cannot have it. If a meltdown ensues that’s Ruby’s fault for failing Eve as a parent up to this point and not saying no enough. As a nurse, I see parents letting their kids crawl all over our nasty ER floor and eat food off of it. I’ll politely suggest that’s not a great idea and let the parent deal with it...then I go joke with someone about how freaking disgusting that is and comment how I feel bad for the kids that they have idiot parents. I’m guessing the doctor did a nervous laugh and then went back to his office and joked with his staff about the lunatic mom he just met. On next weeks episode of 8 passengers: Eve Gets RSV!
As for the presents...that child absolutely knows better, or at least has the learning capacity to be taught right from wrong. Instead Ruby is going all “gentle parenting” on her...that’s clearly working out real well for your little heathen. No one is saying she’s going to be a criminal, everyone is just agreeing she is a little entitled brat that will probably end up not being well liked by teachers, schoolmates, or other parents if the behaviors and poor listening continues. Ruby is confusing what normal 5 year old behavior looks like. Even is exhibiting normal 3 year old behavior that she should have outgrown had she been properly disciplined.
The other problematic thing was that the rewraping of the present was clearly coached and acted out with multiple takes (eve is a way better performer than Ollie). Eve has to be getting so many mixed signals, it’s really no wonder she acts out. She misbehaves and ruby sees good YouTube content and probably asks her to do it again! A 5 year old can’t process why her mom thinks her unwrapping gifts or running off is funny or why she wants it on camera, but eve can process that it brings her positive attention, and hence repeats the behaviors. YouTube is going to deeply mess up that child. It’s very unfortunate.

No ruby eve is not acting like a normal 5 year old. And comparing her to Ellie when she was younger is not helping your case. Do you want eve to turn out like Ellie??!?! Yikes.Tiger27 wrote:

eves acting out because she’s bored. that girl needs mental stimulation that’s age appropriate which ruby does not provide.

Norovirus can live for WEEKS on surfaces. How cute is Eve going to be barfing and having uncontrollable diarrhea?
But hey-- an ER trip for antiemetics and IV fluids is good vlog footage. She can film Eve looking miserable lying on a gurney, and get millions of views.

Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
Did anyone watch the Deru Crew vlog today? Ruby, Jennifer, and Julie went to get their eyebrows touched up in a shop that also had clothing merchandise for sale. Eve saw that Lucy's baby carrier had a cover on it so she took off her dress to make a cover for her "baby carrier" and even took a scarf from the store and stuffed it in the carrier. When Ruby realized she said "okay but we have to give it back before we leave" and proceeds to shove it back in the carrier followed by Ruby and Jennifer laughing about the situation. WTH? I cannot believe she didn't take it out and make her put it back right away. I swear Eve gets away with EVERYTHING. Is no one supervising that girl?
Edited to add, it wasn't today's vlog. It was the vlog titled Eve highjacks MY camera the "theft" scene is at 3:36

She took off her dress? That's not ok in public either.
That kid runs wild, and Ruby just films away.

Eve is a huge brat and no one is going to like her in school and it's Ruby's fault.

Yeah, I don't care so much if Eve sneaks a "peak" [sic] and her Christmas presents (although opening them up is taking it a bit far). No, I care about Ruby letting Eve pick up a filthy pacifer off the floor of a doctor's office and put it in her mouth. I can't imagine what doctor would laugh at that.

Yeah I figure the Doctor figured she was like a 3 yr old or something the way she acts so laughed it off. If he had known she is 5 it might of been different. I can't stand how all of the kids behave. When Ruby was yelling at them for being in her closet eating her Oreos, Abby was still grabbing at them. They totally prove Ruby does NOT discipline off camera. They have no respect or "fear" of repercussion from her. It's very obvious. And Ruby does those fake reprimands with them on camera all of the time and you can tell by the kid's smirks it's all for the camera and they know it.
I think my #1 pet peeve aside from liars, is people who parent like Ruby.
