I never trusted Kevin, he seems secretive and sly, I don't like him for this reason. I see him going with other women if he gets the chance when he is abroad for his work as well. Also Ruby and Kevin were the only couple without a couples pajama at the Christmas party. And I don't think he has ever loved Ruby, seeing how they talked about their love years ago in a certain video.Catface2 wrote:Kevin is the one who wrote that bs about blocking ppl. Good luck with your bratty kids then. He is just as balless as the other idiots married to a Griffiths.

Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
I've always wondered what his students think of him, given his family is online for the world to see. They get to see Ruby dropping the ball a few times a week, all the kids' (encouraged) bad behaviour, and many other things that probably shouldn't be broadcast to the rest of the world.
I suppose with him teaching at BYU, a school owned by the LDS Church, and with a large quantity of students being of LDS faith, he will be regarded in a positive light. But I'm sure there are people who question some of what's online.

I wanted to hear Julie and Abby continue to talk about how they found out about the trip. More SO because I’m sure it pissed off sheri. Sheri doesn’t like surprises.

Did anyone else see chad just up and walk out the front door during the holiday announcement?? Seemed he really wasn’t happy about it and then it was quickly passed over later in the vlog

Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
I watched Chad walk out also. I think he may have been overwhelmed, considering he's used to spending Christmas with family/at home. It's likely just out of his comfort zone and unexpected. He was probably taking a breather or trying to calm down outside or something. Nonetheless, without speculation, his and Shari's reactions were both incredibly neutral and they almost seemed a bit disappointed? I don't know what they were expecting, or what would have gotten a big reaction like the other kids. I scrolled through some comments and only one or two people mentioned Chad walking out, so I doubt it will be addressed.
As for Abby and Julie knowing beforehand, I think maybe they overheard something and asked? The description says they've been planning it for a while now, so I'm guessing the girls overheard somehow and were told not to tell anybody. Seems like they did a good job, and were still excited about it.

I had a laugh when Ruby reenacted the Home Alone scene...but I can actually imagine her losing a kid in the airport.

So I'm catching up with their vlogs and just watched the "Christmas for my crush video". I think Chad was a little bit rude to Daniell. They had a 'thing' some time ago and Daniell said in a vlog they even kissed. Chad just went to that dinner, gave Kesley gifts, hugged her, all of this when Daniell was there too? That must've hurted.

I gagged. They really do enjoy putting their 13 year old's love life online, don't they? And so many of these young fans watch because they don't know any better.xoxocharlie wrote: "Christmas for my crush video".
I wish they'd have more decency because when these kids look back at these videos, all they'll see is some big production/exaggeration about a crush. At least the Griffiths kids get a set of genuine home videos to cherish, not perfect videos with perfect zooms/cuts etc. Sad.

Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
Ruby seemed well aware that some of the kids would be disappointed by the news. I probably would have been too. I’d be excited about a vacation, but not about being gone Christmas. I like traditions and the comfort of my home, it would make me sad to miss out on those. I think that was Sharis issue. Ruby also mentioned Christmas break was in part a chance for them to hang out with friends, which is where some of chads disappointment probably came from (and maybe the thought of being stuck with his family 24/7 for 1-2 weeks?). I think walking out the door was reasonable. He was upset and didn’t want to show that on camera. Those kids live their lives in front of a camera for the world to see. I’m glad Ruby didn’t address it more because I’m sure chad asked her not to and I’m hoping that meant she respected his feelings. Everyone seemed to have come around for the most part once they got there.warmhearted wrote:I watched Chad walk out also. Oh, but they can't "date". Mom can use an imaginary relationship for views, but they can't date.warmhearted wrote:I gagged. Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
julie and abby are only 9 and 11 right?
I watched a few other family vlogger christmas vids of children around the same age (9-12) as them and they were getting things like LOL dolls, barbies, unicorn things, you know, little girl stuff and then I remember a few months back ruby telling julie she was too old to be wearing a unicorn shirt... why are these poor young girls forced to grow up so young? I have never even seen abby play with toys before.
I haven't watched yet (if it has been posted yet) of what they got for christmas, but I hope they got some actual toys.

Makes sense the older 2 might be upset..they wanted to spend time with their crushes over break and now they have to be assaulted by Eve for a long trip instead. I understand the older ones being a bit upset. And I'm glad they didn't address Chad walking out, I'm only doubting the fact that it will be addressed. That's a good thing. He deserves to just be able to calm down/think for a minute before coming back and taking it in again. A camera in the face doesn't help, so I'm glad their vlog cut to them going to Hawaii.

Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
The fact that Abby is 11 really amazes me. My little sister is 11 and she is still very childish. I know maturity it's different for kids, but Abby seems very mature for her age. Do you ever see her play with toys? Build lego's? Or just make up games? When I was young I still had a lot of fantasy, I didn't even need actual toys to play with, anything could amuse me.kates_crush wrote:seriously?... I have a 9 year old and question what she does with Julie. The big vlog on shaving Julie's legs and doing her eyebrows really shocked me and I was close to commenting but decided to not comment on the vlog coz I had nothing nice to say. As you say maturity is different in kids but I see all my daughter's friends regularly from school and not one of them is even concerned about hairy legs or eyebrows. My daughter is unicorn mad and got lol dolls for Christmas. She isnt thinking about marriage or kids and is a care free 9 year old. It saddens me to see how Julie and Abby are being dragged up to be older than they are and not being able to enjoy that care free childhood they should be having. Even the time she said infront of Julie she wasn't good and never will be good a gymnastics is one of the most harmful things you could ever say infront of a 9 year old. Coming from watchers commenting she would probably ignore but your own mother telling you that is so harmful to a child because it will stick in her head what she has said and she will use that against ruby for a long time to come. Ruby would have knocked that girls confidence no end with that comment. I just want to adopt her and let her be a child and play with lol dolls and dress her in unicorn clothes for aslong as she wants to be. Its depressing watching YouTube vlogs from ruby when you have a child the same age and see what damage a parent is doing to them. Ruby needs a good shake.

Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
Just watched their Christmas Morning in Hawaii video and I must say, it was pretty good. Ruby was so happy with Kevin's gift, and I thought it was incredibly sweet seeing her so emotional and overwhelmed. I feel badly for Abby about one of her presents, but Ruby sort of did have a point in that when Abby was asked, she said "whatever". It isn't easy to go off of "whatever". Though, for an 11 year old, she is quite mature and didn't throw a fit or act angrily. I think she handled her disappointment well. Hopefully, they'll take her to get other shoes that fit or return them and find something of equal value. All in all though, I thought it was a good video. (not sucking up haha)

Thoughts as I’m watching...
We already know they don’t bother to put Eve in a car seat at home so no surprise they didn’t even bring one with them, but I guess she’s allowed to just roam the car as she pleases while they’re driving.
Seems awfully wasteful to buy a fake tree and those expensive target stockings but guess you need to make a good youtube video..

Here’s the amount of ham for a family of 8. Hoping there’s more elsewhere.
Kevin’s gift was sweet. But that is one gaudy ring for Ruby..I’m surprised she loved if so much. Glad she likes it I guess.
