Re: OKThey'reFinallyEngaged?! | OKBaby | Part 26
How absolutely negligent does she have to be. I wondered about the insurance too because her refusal to seek mental help and heal herself on that area. She complained it cost too much to see a therapist. But to willingly get pregnant (they were trying) and to know you need these shots and yet nor get covered or pay out of pocket. Insane!

Exactly what I was thinking. You don't TRY for a baby and then not care about making sure that baby is going to be safe especially with them Knowing they need to take these extra steps when they're pregnant. If you know you have difficult pregnancies you better make sure you have all your ducks lined up and are ready for it.Steps_to_STFU wrote:How absolutely negligent does she have to be. If I'm remembering correctly with Alaya she was doing the shots at home because Oscar used to do it for her all the time.
I'm guessing they have never had insurance because they Never take the kids to the doctor when they're sick and I was always wondering why we've never seen or heard about them taking Alaya for any vaccinations? Maybe they have but I can't remember. I do remember always seeing Levi's vaccination appointments though.

Canadian too! I could not imagine not having free healthcare.Aussiemama wrote:Me too.Islandbaby14 wrote:whaaaAt that’s so crazy I love being AustralianMiloandMax wrote:Shots are 1400 each so one bag = 1400. In an entire pregnancy she would need 18-20 and I've heard once you get them in a pregnancy you will need to keep getting them so in total 20 = $28,000.
She could have said insurance but its also possible the doctor hasn't pushed it yet because she hasn't had issues up until this point.
Also this was one drug I looked up costs for and there may be cheaper ones out there. I've never had issues with needing it.

It really just shows at the end of the day they have not made progress at all. If they do not have insurance and she has been refusing to get these shots then it is just idiotic of both of them.wolflily23 wrote:Exactly what I was thinking. Someone here back threads ago said that they don't show vaccinations anymore because some of Levi crying were demonetized. Again don't know if that's true or not but they did get some vlogs demonetized I believe.wolflily23 wrote:Exactly what I was thinking. Too bad if they're insurance is expensive. They have two children and one they planned on the way. They have more than enough money to blow on crap. But you know, priorities.

My guess they have a huge deductible with their insurance. The fact they are self employed insurance is ridiculous. But if they are trying to get it approved or just refusing to pay out of pocket that’s crazy.
Levi was preterm because of a medical condition she had with that pregnancy. Of course I am not a doctor so if she doesn’t have that condition how would progesterone even help?

Exactly. They no longer shock me, but as someone who also needed progesterone I am shocked that she would knowingly go without it. Just insane to me.Moony wrote:and a c section is so expensive, and NICU treatment if neededSteps_to_STFU wrote:Too bad if they're insurance is expensive. how stupid of them to try for a baby knowing she would most likely need those shots.MiloandMax wrote:Shots are 1400 each so one bag = 1400. In an entire pregnancy she would need 18-20 and I've heard once you get them in a pregnancy you will need to keep getting them so in total 20 = $28,000.

Any normal person would start by buying insurace then try for a baby. How impulsive
If you really truely want a child you think of the future. Stupid people

That's how I felt about their engagement video. Everyone was saying they were crying happy tears about it and I'm like uh they're still the same people that are toxic for each other, this will only end badly.Mylifenolimits wrote:Even in this blog they were being super passive aggressive to each other. I know most of you want to believe that things have changed in their relationship. And that they are doing so much better, but the proof is in the vlog.

"I'm supposed to be on progesterone but I'm not because of insurance issues."
Ummmm..... excuse me? You can drop 10's of thousands on complete materialistic BS, but you can't pay for a bottle of pills that might SAVE your baby?
Ok.

sucks that she didn’t live in Canada she could have gotten it for free since she is under 25.. but how much could it really be??Sorn wrote:Wtf!! I thought she was doing better but clearly she's still not taking care of herself and putting her poor baby at risk. If your insurance won't cover it just pay for it out of pocket! Y'all have the money! R u kidding me! Your baby is 25 weeks BARELY past the point of viability. What is wrong with her....

This this this... they are so bad for one another. This engagement was all about shutting Krya up, not actually getting married. They have the most toxic relationship and i hope to god they don't ever go through with the wedding bc they will be divorced before the baby gets into grade school. They just need to go their separate ways and co parent these kids in a more stable environment. (meaning not together so the kids aren't witness to all this drama) and Kyra, stop getting knocked up by a guy you have to BEG to love you. You can find better, i promise.sssabrina wrote:That's how I felt about their engagement video. Re: OKThey'reFinallyEngaged?! | OKBaby | Part 26
This is something I will never understand about Kyra. I never had to beg my husband to marry me, I never hinted. He brought up the idea of marriage and surprised me. I would have never ever wanted to marry a man I had to beg and plead with to marry me. I get maybe they both a from broken homes and do not want to do that to their kids but in all honest married or split, these two are so immature there is always going to be drama in their life. Could you imagine them attempting to co-parent with the little shit that tends to set them off now?Playsinrain wrote:This this this... they are so bad for one another. I think personally Kyra just said that wrong. It’s very possible her doctor hasn’t pushed it. She has not had a progesterone problem. Her issue with Levi was medical issue. She may have just said that because of being on it before and thinking she had contractions. No one has answered my question. How would progesterone help her. Her problem was a placenta issue with Levi. If some knows why it would of helped her please say.

Re: OKThey'reFinallyEngaged?! | OKBaby | Part 26
Unfortuently most insurance companies even if she had insurance wait til you have had an issue before they pay. My son has a medical issue and we have good insurance but they even pull the craziest stuff. And then we are told if we pay out of pocket they won't pay for anything else. As a parent your backed into a corner. I had to fight to be referred to a children's hospital that doesn't bill just for this reason and felt guilty for it. Although our insurance did come around. I do think Kyra and Oscar could have paid for it but its possible that since she hasn't had issues until that night it wasn't discussed. She said insurance could that be she was seeing a different doctor as well? If she didn't buy the bag after this visit I don't see how that counts against her.
