Her IG stories....why? She’s beautiful to me. I don’t get that pop up in the middle of her head. Her hair is atrocious that way. She looked so youthful and pretty when she first got it cut. I hate when she gives it “volume” right on top like that.

How is adopting embryos giving them a chance at life? I don't understand it at all. It's a true question I'm asking.

I’m assuming they are “pro life” and believe life begins when the sperm & egg meet so when they say that, they mean instead of throwing away the embryos or letting them sit forever, they are giving a life. I personally don’t agree but that’s just what I assume they mean when they say that.

Thanks for your nice response! I'm still confused tho. When someone does an embryo adoption, the doctors take an egg donated by a woman, then they make it meet the sperm from a sperm donor, then they implant the embryo, isn't it? A woman can only donates eggs, not fertilized embryos after she had a positive pregnancy test, isn't it? So someone adopting embryos is not saving an already existing embryo

The Drs. harvest several eggs from a woman that are then fertilized. One or two are implanted into the woman. The extra fertilized embryos are frozen for future use. At some point, the woman decides whether she will use the embryos herself, donate them to research, destroy them or put them up for adoption to another person(s). I think Angie said they adopted a set of 2 embryos. There were only 2 available in the set they adopted.

Yup! It can be a sperm donor the woman used or her husband/boyfriend/significant other. They retrieve the eggs and fertilize them with the sperm. If they fertilize they are graded? I have never done it but I know some can be better quality. So they’ll use the best quality first. Extra are frozen and if they survive thawing they can be used in the future. Like said you can pay to have them stored indefinitely, donate to research, destroy, or give them for adoption!

I am super confused about this big announcement... didnt we already know this.. or this the reveal supposed to be the book deal, i guess i assumed since she was writing a book she already had a deal.
Hopefully it goes over better than Michelle Pearsons bomb of a book.

I'm confused about this too... she literally talked the entire month of December on her main channel, personal channel, the Sister Show, and on Instagram about how her book was due at the end of the year ImageImage

Sooooo, what was the announcement again? We already knew she had a book deal...she had a word count requirement, deadlines, etc. I definitely disappointed in this major “announcement.”

Sounds like she already had offers but nothing set in stone or it was offers pending it’s finished by ____ date. So nothing was official. Either way it’s not some huge announcement.

Same here! Like, I’m happy for her. I just am not sure what the big announcement is either. I guess I assumed all along she was writing a book, had a book deal, had a publisher. I don’t know how writing books works so maybe that’s just my ignorance but I thought this was already what she had. Was it that specific publisher that was the “news”? She’s been “dangling” (in her words) “big news” for a while so I don’t know if this is all of it or if there is something more to come. (Btw...I know she thinks those eyebrows make her look more youthful but they are a little much. Again, I think she’s quite beautiful but those brows are out of control large.)

Ok so her sister just posted that she had an 'unassisted' birth with her 8th kid. Does that mean these fucking idiots intentionally had a baby without ANY medical professionals present? I get wanting a home birth but jfc how dumb do you have to be to put yourself and your baby in that kind of danger? Pushing 8 babies out of your cooch doesn't make you a doctor, if something had gone wrong she probably would've died. Sorry but people like this probably shouldn't be parents.

Plan and simple, yup! I think midwives/homebirths are illegal in NC, but I am not 100% sure on that.

I just watched the sister’s birth video today - I can’t believe a parent would be so dumb as to take such a reckless intentional risk with both her own and the baby’s life like that
When I first saw the title / thumbnail I assumed it was ‘unassisted’ as Ruby had arrived so quickly but hearing that was always their intention made me angry. As for the whole idea that they did it because God spoke to her and told her it was what he wanted I just don’t even have the words

YES I watched it this morning and was angry. That’s so unsafe!!!! Home births are cool. Do what you want (not for me but I don’t judge) and give birth where your comfortable but GET A MIDWIFE! There is a reason dying during childbirth used to be a real thing! Image I am pretty sure you could have a midwife there with very minimal interaction as well and be “mostly” unassisted.

Just seen this comment on her instagram - so she did all her own prenatal checks?? Tester her own urine? Took her blood pressure? Did blood tests to check for anaemia? Yep I’m sure she did all of that! I honestly can’t believe the absolutely ridiculous risk taking with such a precious gift Image

I think Ashleigh actually mentioned in a past video that they were illegal. How fucking irresponsible.
