Re: afarmhousefull Part 1
Ive been doing a ton of research on multi level marketing schemes and now I’m really seriously wondering if she makes any money at all with her doterra crap. I know she’s higher up than like 90% of people who get sucked into those things, probably because she has a YouTube and a vlog so she has a way larger audience of naive house moms to sign up in her group. But even the select few people who do well in those pyramid schemes makes like $40k a year which is a nice amount of money but nothing outstanding like what they pretend. I think most of their money still comes from her husband’s business and their flipping of properties.

I’ll bet your right. I think they usually include things like “free trips” and prizes in their income numbers too don’t they? I thought it was all taxable. I don’t hear of them doing very many homes, that seems far and few between. I’m still mind blown that her husband left a union pipe fitter job for a grass cutting business. God bless him if he enjoys it and makes enough but, dang. My husband is a steam fitter too and I know how much he makes (we are in the same general area but I believe IL scale is even higher than our pay scale). It’s great money. VERY hard on the body but good pay.shilohjulia wrote:Ive been doing a ton of research on multi level marketing schemes and now I’m really seriously wondering if she makes any money at all with her doterra crap. Re: afarmhousefull Part 1
not to mention union benefits and insurance. what a dolt. maybe he got fired instead of "leaving" like they said.
Re: afarmhousefull Part 1
So true. For ours the guys put an insane amount into their health fund but it’s all pretax so it doesn’t feel burdensome per se. We’re not 100% pro union “beliefs” but they definitely have taken care of us as far as education, pay etc. I just can’t imagine my husband quitting to cut grass. Again, if you can and love it good for you. I’m someone who cares very little about job status as long as it’s honest and you can take care of yourself/family. But we could never do it.smarlo wrote:not to mention union benefits and insurance. what a dolt. maybe he got fired instead of "leaving" like they said.

She’s been awful quiet on YT these days. Saw a bathroom refresh on IG though. Nice they are so handy.

Re: afarmhousefull Part 1
The newest vlog was really a nice video. They have a snow day and she talks about her husband getting a new job. The girls have a girls night and go see a play and have dinner with family. Her kids are growing fast and so cute. The one daughter with the long blond hair is gorgeous!
Kinda felt like this vlog was back to her roots of just simple modest living in the farmhouse ... it was also edited well

I wonder if the bottom is dropping out of the oil game because her hubs went back to his regular job?

Re: afarmhousefull Part 1
It’s a pyramid scheme. Unless ur the CEO u are eventually going to hit a plateau, if u even make any money at all. She probably only did because she has a social media following.smarlo wrote:I wonder if the bottom is dropping out of the oil game because her hubs went back to his regular job?

Re: afarmhousefull Part 1
Someone recommended The Dream podcast to me. It’s 10 episodes long. VERY interesting and telling regarding pyramid schemes. Worth a listen. Thought it was interesting her hubs going back to a regular job too. And.....her “actually” count is completely out of control in every video. I can’t help it. I’ll never not notice it now.

I’m not a clean freak but the kid cleaning mud out of her shoes at the table makes me want to puke a little. Just me?

I turned off at the vlogging and driving. Can't stand that. Especially when they look into the camera more than the road.

You can tell Cyprus is the youngest of 8, possible broken foot and no rush to the emergency room.
Re: afarmhousefull Part 1
Now she’s taking a “social media/YT” fast. Which I think is great. It seems like it started weeks ago, surprised she’s just now mentioning.
Re: afarmhousefull Part 1
Did anyone see her IG live? I didn’t watch it because I just can barely watch her talk anymore. She used to be one of my favorite YTers but she really changed and when she talks now it always seems (to me) condescending and “high horse.” I just wonder if she explained her absense from social media more than vague stuff. Social media has to be a huge part of her oil business. And she must make loads as a diamond. I’ve seen the salary chart from one of my friends who sells it. I can’t imagine she would just take a break from that.

Re: afarmhousefull Part 1
I feel the same she got soooo full of herself and high and mighty that’s why I unsubscribed she rubs it in everyone’s face that she’s got 8 and in her ig posts she makes sure to say it all the time it got old for me after the oils it’s when it got really bad and I left

Re: afarmhousefull Part 1
Yeah, I’ve looked up the chart online and she’s raking it in. It has to primarily be from her reach online for sure. The thing about Doterra rankings is....you can call yourself a “diamond” if you’ve hit that one time. The way it was explained to me is that, each month you essentially are at “the bottom” again and you earn your status every month based on a bunch of things. Which I’m sure if you’re in a good place with Doterra, you probably wouldn’t have trouble hitting it after for a while. I saw one of her IG stories when she said she only had a few good friends and she’s kind of “closed off” when it comes to new friends. Which I kind of get. I’m not someone that needs a bunch of friends either. But it definitely camera across as a little snobby imo.HCB wrote:Did anyone see her IG live?
