I’m wondering if this isn’t a bunch of bullshit to boost their views.

Re: Katie:Learning to Say No to Everything Except Gaines|Part 21
O my goodness, and did you hear the mean remark of Gaines when she said "baby bed" to Brooks....and then for a second time 'baby bed'. So bold to repeat it for a second time. It seemed like she was deliberately degrading him. She knew very well it was his big boy bed, so it's not that she's too small or unaware since she said "big boy bed" before repeating "baby bed". I'm sorry not, I'm not sure, but what a mean kid she is becoming, she is acting out jealousy, and we have been able to first raw witness how this process unfolded (how this trait arose). What a bad job Katie did if I may add. And then not to mention like you said, that she came up for Gaines and was _debating_ (?? against a 2 year old) in Gaines' place against Brooks....it was quite heartbreaking. What can the little boy do other than being silent and looking down in his bed, he is helpless, doesn't have the vocabulary also to fight back. Nor does Gaines and that's why it's unfair Katie took Gaines' stance. She is still having this symbiotic relationship with her and vice versa. I wish Cullen would step in, but apparently most men are weaklings lol and go along with whatever psychological bandwagon their wife against the kids is riding, like the more relaxed laid back creatures men are. Katie should have let Brooks set his boundary to Gaines and she should not have intervened.angelfire89 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 25, 2019 2:07 pm
Too bad Katie basically forced him to let her on it. He kept saying NO and she kept saying, “after this book she can right” and the like. It’s his bed, he should be able to decide that he doesn’t want his annoying older sister on it. She has her own bed and it’s not like a toy he should be able to share. Let the poor kid have his own space.
Did anyone notice the message on the bottom of the screen when he was shown with his paci? “Yes he still has the paci. If it bothers you, maybe you should try one.” How incredibly rude to the viewers who are probably concerned about his speech/teeth/ etc. They’re so lazy with him. When he said he was done, they should have thrown them all away like they did with Gaines. They probably kept it to keep him quite, like they’ve been doing since he was a baby.
I agree that his speech problem seems like it’s mostly over-excitement. He wants to say so much, so quickly that his mouth can’t keep up. Maybe a speech therapist could help him learn to slow down and get out his thoughts. His parents sure won’t.
And then finger pointing included, by Gaines to Brooks, telling him what to do and what not and that he had to stay in his bed and when he was allowed to leave, I mean her parents hadn't even said anything yet and Brooks had hardly started enjoying his new bed awww. It's really like Gaines has the feeling she is on an equal level with her parents (with Katie at least) on the opposite side of 'baby' Brooks. In the past I have been saying this and Katie adjusted and in 1 or 2 vlogs corrected Gaines with "you are not his mother." I felt relieved and glad, but I guess it was short lived and Katie is back to her old pattern again, probably feeling proud even that she is such a "smart cookie" for being so verbal to Brooks. After Gaines had pointed her finger to Brooks near his bed, she came sitting with Katie and the two of them started talking about what Brooks should do or not! Again this 'symbiosis'. And the way Katie lets Gaines in into this adult level?
Eh Katie, come back to me when Gaines is a PhD in Astronomy or Physics, and then tell me she's a smart cookie. Verbal intelligence is n o t h i n g.
I loved it how a smart cookie Jackson of E&J was with his map and the States! Awww. Now that was a token of being smart that he could remember. As far as I know all Gaines' thinking world is limited to is pink princess dresses. Really I don't see much else.
I started watching this vlog with relaxed, warm and sweet feelings, like I was reset and as if watching for the first time. Katie said in the beginning of the vlog she looked like a mess, when I even said to the screen she looked fine and nice and didn't look like a mess. Everything was fine....until the big boy bed scene, where Katie and Gaines took center stage basically, in their fight against Brooks. Before that Katie had been caressing gaines' long hair (this was just caught on camera when they stepped into the field of the camera walking towards Brooks' bed), you know how Katie adores her long hair and how this is a symbol of her out of this world princess status, Gaines is just too good to be true. While Katie can be distant to Brooks and doesn't touch him as spontaneously. She came to pick him up from his nap f.i. and sat in the rocking chair quite stubbornly, while Brooks was sitting in his (big boy) bed trying to wake up, she didn't pick him up and carry him walking downstairs nor did other sweet approaching things to him. She did mention to Brooks he had difficulty waking up just "like your father" (not: like daddy), and she mentioned another time in the vlog he was just like his father, so 2 times in this vlog. So 4, 5 or 6 things happened and little by little I felt my warm and sweet feelings I started the vlog with disappear. Katie and Gaines ruined the vlog for me. Give me a vlog with Cullen and Brooks any time over these two.

Katie's stream (featuring Cullen) tonight makes me really think that are still in a VERY BAD PLACE. At least they keep admitting they've been lying about everything for years.
I do think all the addiction talk is now more about views. If Cullen needs help, he needs to do it off camera! They just keep talking in circles without any sort of real answers. They just hint at things over and over and over again. Why bother?!
They did say the recent problem started just about a year ago—that's when Brittany came back in the picture. But then they say they can't really talk about what was really happening back then. Then DON'T even mention it at all!
I do wonder about Cullen being away from the house all the time. I HAVE wondered about affairs before. If he really is/has been leaving the house all the time for no real reason, then I wouldn't be surprised if he's secretly banging some chick on the side.

Re: Katie:Learning to Say No to Everything Except Gaines|Part 21
I do believe it's not infidelity, like Katie said. Could she have pronounced it isn't infidelity if it weren't true? It sounded true to me. Cullen just went away for hours to buy and use his drugs. But they're making me curious what caused the sudden change. Katie said a million things had happened, either suggesting it was pretty big what happened recently or indicating the million things they kept quite about for years. Hard to say when they are so secretive. I agree with the milking. Cullen looked so different, and tired, I don't know if it's because of his beard that his eyes looked like exactly in the middle of his face, seen vertically, like a baby face with a big forehead, all his wrinkles were gone too, he seemed younger. I've only watched the first 15 minutes, I like it when they are more serious. I liked it too that Katie said that maybe it had strengthened their relationship and that hopefully it would in the end. My feelings changed a week ago, I hope they stay together. At least it would be too easy for me if she would leave him now, blaming Cullen's addiction and that she couldn't trust him. I thought it was quite sweet too that she made the distinction between Cullen's personality who wouldn't lie and addicted Cullen who lies because of hiding his addiction, whether true or not I thought it was sweet she was empathic towards him and she is really trying to work it out and safe the marriage. The addition of "together" in the title was a little strange, only reinforcing the fact they have been so separated in dealing with this, while Brian and Missy were totally together (on the outside at least) in their video.

Re: Katie:Learning to Say No to Everything Except Gaines|Part 21
I don’t believe anything either of them say anymore. They both lie to present the image they want.... and they bounced back way too quickly after all this. Even IF it was just weed, it was obviously serious to Katie, so the hurt and damage should be there. It’s just hidden under the surface again until the little things start to add up again.
I think the closest thing to the truth we have is Cullen’s original admissions. Everything after is just saving face and both are lying. I don’t think they should stay together if the fighting keeps coming up. This isn’t fair to the kids.
He still seems high in some of his IG stories to me .

She's probably 110% mad at cullen for coming out of the closet with what ever is on the go. She got her perfect little reputation that she thinks she has ruined.Catface2 wrote:What’s with Katie’s face in the thumbnail? Looks like she’s OTT hiding something

Cullen's staph infection could have been caused by a heroin addiction https://solutions4recovery.com/heroin-a ... nfections/

Interesting. I was wondering if it was heroin too based on how it was the one thing he went out of his way to say he didn’t do. I thought that was odd.
Plus I’ve heard reactions to it will flush your neck, and Cullen often has redness on his neck and around his ears. Though alcohol can do this too.

That would also explain why Katie was so frightened about his using. Heroin cut with fentanyl is causing overdoses because it's so much stronger.
Just speculation, of course.

Re: Katie:Learning to Say No to Everything Except Gaines|Part 21
But... wouldn’t he just get a staph infection where he injected a needle? Serious question... like isn’t it caused from an open wound? Even something microscopic like a tiny tear from you scratching your arm... wouldn’t the source of the infection be at the site of the infection? Or does herion use just make them pop up anywhere? I would say yes, heroin use can cause staph infection, but only at the site of injection, right? . He had a bump on his face for days before, and he was at the beach (dirty ocean water?) when he first started having issues with it. I thought he had cellulitis? Is that the same as staph or caused from it?bcgrace24 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 28, 2019 3:06 pm Cullen's staph infection could have been caused by a heroin addiction https://solutions4recovery.com/heroin-a ... nfections/

Re: Katie:Learning to Say No to Everything Except Gaines|Part 21
I’ve never seen anyone on heroin other than on tv, (like reality tv, I’m not meaning movies etc) but I feel like IF Cullen was doing anything other than weed and drinking, it was some sort of stimulant. Maybe dabbled in coke again. He said in the podcast that even as a kid he would buy energy drinks all the time bc he loved that “high”. Doesn’t seem like someone who would turn to heroin (a downer). Maybe he was tooting a little during the day and smoked weed to come down so he could sleep. He used to pull all nighters all the time. Remember the up all night watching porn discussions?

Meth makes you itch and pick. It’s also a stimulant, his high of choice.
Just sayin’.

One of the most significant ways that the Narconon program can help a methamphetamine addict is by offering the Narconon New Life Detoxification, one phase of the overall treatment program. This phase combines time in a dry heat sauna with moderate daily exercise and a strict nutritional regimen. According to a recent peer-reviewed study, this combination helps alleviate post-acute withdrawal symptoms as well as clarify thinking and reduce cravings.[\quote]
Could explain his new interest in the gym.

Playsinrain, you are right about the infection being at the injection site, but opiates make you itch too, so it's possible he could have scratched at his face too much. Meth makes people pick at their skin, and like you said, he liked uppers, so it's more likely that
I wouldn't disregard heroin just because he said it wasn't that though. Addicts lie like breathing.

No, he’s not doing that.lmmomSD wrote:Narconon is run by Scientologists. I hope he's not doing that.
I just know that exercise is actually advised by doctors to people withdrawing from amphetamines, so I pulled a quote from the first link I googled without paying attention to the source.
Between starting at the gym during detox, his admitted preference for uppers, and also the picking, it’s not unrealistic for meth to be the drug he used.
