Katie does have an abscess on her face, and they wanted to drain it like they did Cullen's but she was like...ummm. No. and after she showed them pics of what happened to cullen after his was drained they agreed not to touch it. Put her on 2 weeks of antibiotics but told her it would take 2 days for it to actually start working. It looks even bigger than it did this morning so im terrified to see what it's going to look like until the meds start working!! Yikes!!!

When I was little, I used to get boils on my legs and abscesses in my teeth. We never figured out why. But that's it. None as an adult. Nobody I know, either, except my recovery friends who had abscesses from shooting up. And none of them ever got skin infections once they cleaned up.

In my house not weird unfortunately. 5 out of 6 of us got abscesses for several years. We finally saw an infectious disease doctor and we all got cleared up. It sucked! I just hope the kids don’t get it!

My husband gets a couple a year, mainly from what we suspected as ingrown hairs. My daughter has had one, several years ago and i have had one as recent as last year, around the same time Cullen had his! Also on my face but nothing near as bad as either Cullen or Katie's. I chalked mine up to cystic acne that was just particularly large (i was so freaked out bc of the reaction Cullen had didn't pick at it, personal win lol). Never thought of seeing an infectious disease doctor about it... thanks for the inadvertent advice! Next time one of us has one i'll look into that.

Zarbees has a kids gummy that has elderberry it in. That’s what I give my kids. I’m sure there’s other brands as well.

It's supposed to be an immune booster. I have teacher friends that swear by it. I mean i hope they are using whatever the dr prescribed them as well but it can't hurt and i've heard nothing but good things about it..

A few years ago, everyone sucked down echinacea all winter long. Before that, it was vitamin C. Now it's elderberry. There's always something. Maybe it works. Like PIR said, it probably can't hurt.

Did anyone see Cullen's CREEPY AF comment on Ellie's IG photo? He offered to rescue her and give her mouth-to-mouth (because he's an expert) if she fell in the pool she's standing next to in the pic. WTF?! Who writes stuff like that? It's not even funny and it's disrespectful to both Katie and Jared.

The constant flirting with women like Ellie really does make me think he has a wandering eye...and other parts. He can say it's just joking around, but is it? Shay and Austin both used to "joke" around with other woman too.

According to what Kelly said, the kids dr told her the Elderberry was working just as well as the tamaflu in terms of recovery time. Now idk if i believe that to be 100% true, but umm.. i'm stopping on the way home for some my grandmother has the flu and i was checking in on her all weekend, and i just called my bosses wife to force him to go home bc he has bronchitis and has managed to cough or sneeze on every surface of this office. UGH....

You know what makes me dislike his comments like this?? Him giving Ellie validation. Ellie must ALWAYS be the smallest, the cutest, the flirtiest, the tiniest, the best of the best of the best.. out of the group. All this does is drive that opinion Ellie has of herself deeper in her mind. To her, Cullen commenting something like that makes her better than Katie, bc she thinks that Cullen lusts after her, and that is what Ellie wants most, is for everyone to lust after her, and her lifestyle. All couples have jokes i think, (My BFF is a single mom and she calls my husband her husband too, and we have an agreement that if i die first he's only allowed to marry her. LOL...all in jest of course although im not opposed lol) that not everyone else is going to get the humor of. And while yeah, it's pretty disrespectful, i do think it's honestly just a long standing joke between the 4 of them. (I've heard Katie say the same about Jared and doing things like "hiding" her phone bc she was texting with Jared... all just goofy shit) The thing is, Ellie is so daft and self centered that she probably takes stuff like that to heart and thinks she could have Cullen in a second. It's just the validation of her narcissism that gets under my skin.

did anyone else listen to the podcast last night? Phyllis had a very emotional and tough testimony and it looked as though she hit home with Cullen a few times. Whatever his demons are, i hope he overcomes them, and i hope her story made him realize how lucky he is that he he realizes now he has a problem and it hasn't taken something terribly tragic to make him conscious of his actions. i don't think Cullen has fully committed himself to changing YET.. but i hope he takes what she said to heart. cullen makes me anxious sometimes during these podcasts bc he is clearly uncomfortable with public speaking and doesn't really understand how to correctly respond to certain things. As comfortable as he is in front of a vlogging camera it's odd to see him so clearly out of his element while talking to Phyllis. Also it kinda makes sense now why he thinks the AA meetings were "fun". He doesn't seem to always understand the gravity of what people are telling him. He seemed to "get it" further into her story when he was getting emotional and you could tell things were hitting close to home for him. I hope she made something click in his head. Britney on the other hand seems to be much better in this sort of setting. (yes i realize that she ether knows Phyllis or has heard her speak before) I think she needs a little more practice with her "umms" and gathering her thoughts on the fly, but she seems so much more genuine and it seems to come more natural to her. I like seeing her set Cullen straight and make him think beyond himself on this topic.

Changing the subject slightly.... i was shocked that Phyllis was sentenced to 2 life sentences when there was no proof she was driving the car. I was so confused as she was telling this story bc it never sounded to me that she was at fault. I'm sure there is another side to the story and she was very defensive about this being her fault basically bc there was no one left alive to take the blame but her. And she said that it "sounded like something she would have done" It was never said if people in the other car were injured and she was only charged with the death of her friends, so maybe the other driver saw her behind the wheel? It's just a terrible situation to be so messed up that you aren't even sure if something this terrible is your fault or not, and not be able to be in a position to even be able to defend yourself bc you have no idea what your actions were bc of how messed up you were. This is a perfect example of drugs and alcohol being able to take everything away from you in an instant, even if you aren't the one behind the wheel (literally or figuratively).
