The red flag to me that she has an eating disorder is when she talked about being “worried” about being so tall/skinny. Everyone I know who is genuinely “too thin” and self conscious about it hides their body. My sister has food allergies and can’t gain much weight, she hates being 100 lbs and never posts her half naked body, wears baggy clothes so that she looks like she has some shape to her, shares lots of recipes/meals so people realize she has a healthy appetite and eats - she is just thin because her body won’t absorb certain things.

Elle on the other hand? Posts constantly fishing for those “you look so skinny/small!” Comments. She eats it up. Her “worry” about appearing too skinny is a cover for her eating disorder, a disclaimer she can throw out so people don’t think she’s trying to lose weight or keep weight off during pregnancy (a generally frowned upon endeavor) when in reality she’s obsessed.

Anyone notice how she referenced Cohen’s “other issues” as a reason why he goes to daycare? No doubt she’s going to get comments asking her what the other issues are, and then she’ll reply that they won’t discuss those issues on YouTube out of respect for Cohen. So she can look like mom of the year. If you don’t want people to know he has “other issues” why mention them at all, even vaguely? Just say he’s at daycare! If it’s going to stay private (which I agree that it should), it should stay completely private.

I’m also finding these “letters to my son(s)/daughter” on Instagram to be super annoying. Go ahead and write them, but if they’re FOR YOUR CHILDREN...then why post them online? Keep that stuff just for you and just for them. Her kids don’t have Instagram. They can’t read.

I saw in the comments that a few people suggested that she write these letter down and save them for the future. Her response is that she will do that. Which means she hasn’t yet. Which means it was more important for her to create these letters as content for social media. I really hope she has read them aloud to her boys prior to posting. Her kids need to hear these words from her. Her followers don’t.

Yeah... any ideas on what Cohen's other issues may be? We know she ALWAYS refers to him as the viking child (as if that isn't supposed to have 50 negative connotations attached, or it's endearing to her or something) but maybe he has some kind of ADHD?

She used to say the same thing about Forde! It was either last summer or summer 2017 I can’t recall but she referenced it a few times that they were dealing with something about Forde but didn’t want to discuss it at that time. Presumably because they hadn’t dealt with it or “fixed it” so she was waiting to post about it until she had a 3 part vlog series. She used to make comments about Forde potentially being gifted but then she also mentioned something else was going on so I have no idea what it was. I did notice that that summer she always had scratches and bruises on her (neck area and sometimes her arm) so I thought maybe he was being physical. Which obviously can be normal for a child that age but maybe it was more than that. I totally understand them not vlogging about it but I just assumed since she mentioned it like 4 times that she was setting it up for a vlog topic. Probably her therapist suggested it wasn’t a good idea since he was going to start school one day and potentially someone he knows could see it on YouTube (or a kids mom).

I think she calls him that because he has a very... strong willed personality. That would be the nicest way to put it, just my assumptions though. I think she’s always struggled with Cohen, since he’s been born

I know! You know that if a bunch of people showed up she would have been sure to document it.

I thought the first outfit with the green/grey combo was cute. Of course she went with the boring option of white and black stripes. Shoes were definitely bad - I’ve had Joe Fresh shoes before and they fall apart and hurt your feet. Quality over quantity, guys!!

On instagram people keep pointing out that joe fresh is not ethical/sustainable etc and Elle keeps disputing this and telling them to dm her and provides the same corporate link...is she a brand ambassador? Pathetic. I think she needs to pick a lane.

On another topic, can anyone suggest some good Canadian mommy/ lifestyle youtubers?
I like amandamuse and nesting story(for The Fold series). I can barely stand Elle's channel anymore...except for the occasional vlog she puts out...I did like the chatty style of the assumptions video but don't feel the content is very transparent. I came across Sarah Therese and cannot stand that one... Any suggestions would be appreciated.

She used to be a big promoter of using those laundry balls with her Doterra oils. I guess now she can afford the $5 for dryer sheets.

I’m really surprised she doesn’t save her laundry lint in a bucket and use it as fire starter for that one camping trip they do a year, you know because she’s a nature girl and loves the outdoors (and getting struck by lightening).

The comment about none of her fans showing up for the joe fresh event reminded me about that one time she had a meet up in a coffee shop and like 2 people appeared also.. did anyone else notice that her massive Christmas party she was promoting was just a Canadian tire event? It’s so true, this is why she won’t do a real meet up. She only does sponsor events and calls them a meet up. I think she did that for the Google event in Vancouver she did, the one where like 3 people showed up because they probably thought they were getting some free shit.

Yeah she needs to stop trying so hard with the events. Remember how awkward their 100,000 subscriber party was?? Especially since they were only at like 98,000 subscribers hahaha. Looked like it was mostly family and friends, one or two fans, and a few warm bodies pulled in off the street.
