Is there a secret YT vlogging women conference in Vegas or something?

Chad's birthday vlog seemed to fall back to the fabricated/scripted side of vlogging. Does he really have no friends other than other Mormon vlog families? He doesn't strike me as wanting to cuddle two pre-school girls and their families to celebrate. I suspect he intentionally let the balloons go (or got someone to do it), just to tick off Ruby. Strange that no kid would admit to it....

Also, are those score boards defective, is Ruby an idiot, or did she feel the need to pretend that her "men" are just the best at everything? The boards literally indicated the race hadn't completed. Did Chad even win "first place"? The worker said nothing about "winning" just wishing him a happy birthday as she handed over the "award". Funny nobody else in the giant party "placed".....

Also, loved Ruby getting corrected about go-carts being a national phenomenon (not just Utah), and that she didn't know Rome was in Italy. So cultured, right Shari?

Sad that his only gifts seemed to be breakfast foods and free swag.....but I guess that's what happens when your Mom doesn't feed you, and only invites "work friends" to your birthday party. I see Chad is officially not one of the kids anymore, as he had to explain to his "friends" that there were 6 siblings in his family (I guess vloggers don't watch each other?), and Shari and him had to hide the food "from the kids".

Because you’re on youtube, does not mean you’ve seen all there is to see, and know all there is to know. I’m twice her age and do not live in a religious bubble and do not consider myself at all cultured tho I’ve see a lot more of life than she has. Go out and explore the world. Watch movies that have sex and drugs and hardships. Open your eyes to the world. Have a beer, learn there’s more to life than marriage and kids at 18. I feel so bad for her. She’s so sheltered she doesn’t even realize she’s sheltered.
I really don't think watching movies that have sex, drugs and hardships will make a person any more cultured. But what about helping out in a soup kitchen? Volunteering in a homeless shelter? Meeting people who have a different religion, drug addicts, refugees.... And not as a one time youtube/instagram event, but on a regular basis. Not for social media, but to get to know the real world and actually do something genuinely good. Would be a good thing for all of the griffiths girls and their families. They all pretend to be holier than holy, but actually do nothing good in this world, just live their privileged, sheltered and very self centered lives.

No I know! Lol I was just referring to her walking out of jumanji because it was inappropriate according to her. I was just so upset that they are so brainwashed I don’t think I made any sense. It made me sad when she said she was going to go to BYU. What happened to NYU didn’t she want to go there a few years back?

The food stuff actually breaks my heart.

My 15 year old adopted son was in a foster home for 3 years from age 11.5 to 14.5. It was overall a decent home- but the foster parents were career fosters who specialized in teen boys. It is so clear from how my son acts that he wasn't being fed enough. He's a really skinny kid (similar build to chad) but he has really filled out in our home. When he first moved here I would ask how many slices of pizza or hotdogs he would want for dinner (we cater to our kids limited palates because right now food is not a battle worth fighting with kids with neglect in this histories) and he would say things like, "10!" At first I thought it was just controlling manipulative behavior and then I started to piece it together that he didn't get fed enough in the past foster home. She would give my teenage growing son one hot dog and a small scoop of Mac and cheese. I can only imagine the hunger pains he would have some nights - i would have to imagine the poor Franke kids feel those same pains.

With the fried chicken - how much extra would it have cost to make mashed potatoes and also give each kid 2 pieces of chicken? 60 cents extra a person? Chicken legs are cheap!! I can get a pack of 10 for 4 bucks!

I’m pretty sure whenever they have pizza Ruby only orders one. I can’t imagine the sounds their tummies make when they try to go to sleep.

I agree, I hope that when she’s older she travels a lot and sees more of the world because she can say she’s cultured until she’s blue in the face but until she steps outside of their Mormon bubble in Utah I won’t believe it.
\

it's weird because before she used to beg her dad to take her New York and how she planned on going to study there and that was her goal in life (which was very inspiring to hear from such a young girl) but now she seems to want to stay where she is and study where she is and has he idea that she literally wants to rinse and repeat in her mothers footsteps of finding a man and having babys. if she is so Intelligent as she likes to repeat, then why would she throw away all that education and potential on something anyone can do. i hope she becomes a doctor like she wanted or lawyer and does something with her life other than just doing what it expected of her in those parts of the world.

I don’t think the inappropriate amount of food has to do with money:
I mean they bought a new car, re did their patio. It’s not like they can’t afford food.
I think that Ruby is too lazy to cook the amount that her family needs. So she cooks the bare minimum and gives each a little.
She should either work harder, there are very easy things to do like rice and beans that you put in a cooker and you have a decent filling side or give up and buy food. Like she gave up with waking up at 4-5 am.

Okay maybe I'm overreacting, but I thought the opening scene of this vlog with Chad showing his scars from a fighting challenge and then putting a vacuum hose to his bare skin was really inappropriate. Like not just regular Griffiths inappropriate, but dangerous to show other children. It's not as bad as the tide pod challenge but it feels like it's in the same category. Some kid is going to get hurt with that stupid "make your own hickey" crap or a headlock challenge. What is WRONG with Ruby? Why is she posting this crap? She has enough views on other garbage that she doesn't need to show this too.

True. The lack of food is probably not about money. It is probably about laziness- but honestly even more so than that- I feel like it's mostly about control. So many people use food as a way to control other people. It is so passive aggressive.

Ruby didn't know Rome was in Italy? She has even been to Italy! Just further proof that wherever she goes, her bubble goes with her. This is, after all the woman who drank Fanta at an Italian wine tasting dinner. No, I didn't expect her to drink wine, but maybe try something new...

So I'm just having a chance to catch up on vlogs now. I thought you guys were exaggerating about how annoying and holier than thou Shari acts- and how bratty chad acts- and Nope you weren't! Chad's attitude isn't totally uncommon in teen boys- but since Ruby is writing a book about mothering and prides herself on being the perfect parent- I would expect better from Chad. Also, why do you need to go over his chores in front of the whole family? When my teenage boys get in trouble in school we discuss it without an audience of siblings.

I honesty don't blame Ruby though for snapping abour the glass in the sink. I cannot stand when kids are not respectful of household belongings and I would have yelled too.

I think _originally_ it may have been a money issue. She has mentioned being broke when the older kids were little. But they are making bank on YT plus Kevin is tenured now.
I think the food thing is a Griffiths issue. Ellie serves tiny meals even when they have company. She has shown Jackson taking food out of the pantry because he and Calvin are hungry. Bonnie will serve her kids broccoli and potatoes and then send Joel out for take out for the two of them after the kids have gone to bed. It's like a full tummy is a privilege or something like that. The whole family is so toxic. And the longer they're on YT the more comfortable they seem to be showing the toxic behavior.

It's their mothers fault. These Griffiths women starve their kids while they eat themselves full. Bonnie's and Ellie's children has it worst.
There's a vlog where Kevin and Ruby are eating KFC in their bedroom without the kids. Chad catches them in action and ask , how come you get to eat KFC and Ruby tells him to go to bed because it's late.

Yes yes very cultured she said in a vlog they have white cars because black is evil! She is the lowest of the lower I would go as far as to say red neck back street uneducated trailer trash but then I would instult the good people who do live in trailer parks! Ruby is the most uneducated, idiotic individual I have ever come across !

Their not under eating, their over eating. they fill themselves up all day on crap and large snacks like trays of brownies, bags of chips, sometimes here school snack is a meal before dinner. plus their breakfast are always large glasses of milk, pancakes with eggs bacon, then followed by bowls of cereal. probably eat meals at lunch of burgers and crap. basically there not hungry because the kitchen is free range to them at any point, the time there meals are served their already jacked up from high sugar and carbs. same with ellie and jared. bonnie seems to be the only one out of them all that have a more structure meal plan based on her dieting and having a personal trainer now.

I am sorry to disagree but Bonnie is NOT any better than the rest of them. The kids have had banana bread for their supper or just bread. She fed them salmon and broccoli recently but this is not the norm or will be I promise you. She is the Queen of horrible meals herself.

She does have more structure though. Lunch and dinner may be crap, but at least the kids get two separate meals so their tummies are more full. Ellie let’s her kids find their own breakfast, and then gives them a late lunch/early dinner combo then a small snack and it’s off to bed at 6:30. That’s one less meal than most kids get.

I also don’t think Ruby’s kids are over fed by any means. Kids need plenty of snacks and meals.

Re: the sledding video- so many thoughts.

-oh my gosh- now Abby is being used for romantic plot lines too? This family is insane with the whole "you can't date till you're 16- but we're going to emphasize your crushes" thing. It's just so awkward.

-I hate when ruby tells the girls to remind shari and chad how cool she is as a mother. Um no. You spent most of their life as a drill sargent- making them get up at ungodly hours to do chores and practice instruments. I'm pretty sure they didn't stop thinking you were cool. I'm pretty sure they never thought you were cool.

-why does ruby always have to make Julie look stupid? "Is that dog pee by you Julie??" She always feels the need to embarrass her.

-ruby and Bonnie talking about how Joel driving was going to turn them on. Did I understand that conversation right? Turn them on - like sexually? From him getting the car out? If that's what they meant- wow. This family has no boundaries.

-I'm pretty sure I heard this right- grandma griff was vlogging when they finally got the car unstuck- and she screamed "happiness, happiness!" to everyone- and they promptly jumped up and down cheering. It was like a movie production. Did anyone else catch that?

I think they were sitting in dog piss. Gross. How do you live in snow country and NOT have proper fitting snow gear for your children? In my experience my growing kids out grew their gloves every year. She’s an idiot!

Yes, Abby is definitely being used for romantic plot lines. They're trying to ship her with Kesley's brother Rhett.
It's so hypocritical.
