Makes me curious if Cullen staged the leak and let it go for weeks/months so they could file the claim. He said he knew it was leaking for weeks before he told Katie.
I haven’t had to either *knock on wood* haha, but it does make sense that they would do it all. Cullen said the extent of the Reno would depend on insurance and how things went. From what he said it was kind of a situation where if you fixed the leak you’d have to fix the tile so you’d have to fix the wallpaper and so on and so on.
I would assume it’s likely they’re paying out of pocket for some of the expenses (like the tub), you could replace the tile around the tub when doing the floor but not replace the actual tub.
Also, I don’t think he left it leaking so they could make a claim. This is the same guy who left water running into a garbage bin for his fish tank for over 24 hours and flooded his basement. He’s not responsible/high/drunk.
