I didn’t even see it as “recently sold”. I looked back to October. Wonder if it is a rental. Really wouldn’t put it past them to lie.

Yeah, that's definitely not the house I was suspecting, but I think I found this one on a different website (no pics, but all the info—2bds, built in 1947, in "hip" North Boise, 884 sq. ft., closed 2/5/19—seems to be correct). No sold price, but it was listed for $244K!!!!!!!! Damn, that's a lot for a tiny house. I guess they are buying into a hipster neighborhood, so it was worth it to them.

Even the listing says: "Welcome to your urban farm in North Boise." Sounds like them.

I get that they NEED to live in a trendy area (near Trader Joe's), but the house is way too small!!! They are going to be all over each other—and a new baby eventually?

Also, the house last sold less than two years ago...to me that's a RED FLAG it has major problems.

EDIT: YES! I just checked the tax records and it's owned by Corbin A. Scott.

This is fishy. I can't figure out their time-line to save my life! They're back in the same outfits as when they pretended his parents door was their new house. But that whole days video they were all in different outfits. See, it's because they pull this shit that makes them look super shady. If they didn't dick with their "storyline" and days, they wouldn't look as bad.

And could it be that Zillow hasn't updated it yet? I remember sending our realtor houses we were interested in from there that said "for sale", only to find it had just sold. Maybe it's not updated yet?? It's so hard to imagine anyone lying about buying a house. If that is the case, I won't have words. You'd have to be pretty low to stage that. I wouldn't put it passed them, but that's pretty ballsy. And because they never allow any comments that don't worship them, they'd never be exposed for who they really are.

It looks like they’ve been there more than just one night and they’ve bought a new washer/dryer maybe refrigerator.

Had to laugh at Kelsey explaining that they were used to living in small spaces. She just loves all the “vintage “ features!

I believe they purchased a refrigerator when they were renting the house in So. Cal. There were a couple of posts where Corbin complained about having to defrost the freezer/fridge every coup!e of weeks.

I didn't see any smoke or CO2 detectors, and the backdoor in the laundry didn't have a deadbolt. Hopefully they will at least get smoke detectors installed soon.

Trust me...before I found this "sold" house I was pretty sure they were just renting too. I'm guessing by the lack of photos online they are trying to keep the sale as private as possible. That's probably why it's not on Zillow.

I think we are just used to them lying all the time now. LOL

Nice job finding the tax records! I don't think the house being sold only two years ago is necessarily a red flag...it could be, or not. I work in title and I look at a lot of commitments for resales, and people just don't stay in homes very long nowadays, generally speaking. Many times the homes we're doing title for were last sold only five years ago or less.

Well, this is interesting...the property tax rate on that house blew up from $1206 in 2017 to $2543 in 2018! I wonder why it skyrocketed in just a year?! And for the 10 years prior it was hovering around $1000 a year.

I wonder if Corbin and Kelsey even checked out the reason why??? The assessed value of the house went up by about $15K (2017-2018)—but that shouldn't double the property taxes! Yikes. I'm curious.

Didn’t the Lannings give them that refrigerator after he complained so much about the one that came in the house. The Lannings has it in their garage after they got the SubZero.

That's true, but this house last sold in October 2017, so those owners only lived there about a year before listing it again.

I don’t know that they ever came out and said the Lannings gave them the fridge but it is the same one that was in the Lannings garage before missy had to get a new fridge in her house for her extra cold milk and moved their previous house fridge to the garage ... and then a day or two later these guys had a new fridge ....

I’m underwhelmed with that house. The kitchen is teeny tiny, and no amount of Kelsey saying otherwise will fool me. Also, IMO it doesn’t have much charm. That one arch is kinda odd since the other doorways don’t match, and those lights are hung pretty low, actually I think the ceilings are pretty low because while the lights aren’t ceiling huggers they’re not exactly long hanging either.

The house has OK storage, for a couple starting out. I wouldn’t have purchased it though, and I’m surprised it took them that long to find a house when they didn’t have that many demands apparently. The house is nothing special, just a small old house.

I think they only bought the house for the trendy location. They could have bought a much bigger and better house if they didn't want to live in North Boise. I'm guessing North Boise is like the Hawthorne or Alberta Arts districts of Portland—overpriced old homes in gentrified neighborhoods that appeal to young, urban professionals (aka Hipster Hoods). Just like that tiny apartment in Portland, they could have had something bigger and better, but they HAD to live in a trendy neighborhood.

I think that house would be fine for a couple, but with two kids? And just one bathroom? There is literally no privacy. Maybe they are turning the garage into an office?

Right? I'm with you on this one. It's nothing special, even after hearing kelsey talk about its "ventage" charm. Everything old to her is "ventage". Image

And what was with Corbin doing a horrible job of showing the actual rooms, and only keeping the camera fixed on her? They're usually into their artsy-fartsy angles and pan down shots. Like that first room. I'm like, SHOW THE DAMN ROOM. We don't need to see more of her. Between that and her constantly justifying its size, I almost feel like they were a little embarrassed. There was a LOT of "this place has a TON of storage" and "it's actually really spacious in here" and "it's coming off smaller on camera than it actually is" (Imageyeah ok kelsey). If they're living in some hipster neighborhood, good. Keep them all contained together. ImageImage

Its a “highly desirable neighborhood” but their house is next door to a double wide trailer? What?

I managed to find the Realtor's listing with photos.

A few things I noticed:

- They don't even have a dishwasher!
- There is NO storage at all in the bathroom (except the sink cabinet).
- It looks even smaller in the photos than their video.
- The backyard is fairly big, but it will need a lot of upkeep.
- All those "vintage" light fixtures are probably just 10 years old and probably from Lowe's (LOL).
- This place seems to be about the same size as their tiny apartment but just add a bedroom.
- The back patio is made out of large stone pavers(?) and looks a bit unsafe
- They already have a chicken poop coop. *insert eyeroll*
- They already have raised planting beds and what looks like a small greenhouse
- The garage is "attached" to the house, but seems to have a front door and back door, so maybe it's already been remodeled to be an office space?
- If these photos are current, they need to totally work on the backyard. Everything is dead.

I'm trying to add a pic of the backyard. It has no location info, so it should be OK with the mods.

The house came with several raised garden beds and a chicken coop. 100% why they bought it. Nevermind the horrific overgrown landscaping and gas station 30ft away.

That might be a dated photo. This is what was from the listing. No address shown here, so I think it's OK to post.
