8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
The thumbnail today..I never realized how much grandma Griff actually looks like her husband. Maybe they are blood related...like some cousin thing. Aunt Linda and grandma resemble each other too. That could explain a lot. All their children not being very bright. IDK. Just a thought. Struck me as weird. And...why couldn’t Chad just get Kesley a cute pair of earrings? He needs a haircut something awful.

Thank you. This isn’t an uncommon stressor for people. Anxiety isn’t one size fits all like that. It didn’t have to be get first time in an airport. You shouldn’t dismiss someone’s feelings like that just because they don’t make sense to you.
Come on people, you don’t need to hate on EVERYTHING. If you’ve never been anxious having to do something alone, then you’re very lucky. Many people can’t go eat in restaurants alone. That’s not exactly hard either, but it makes them nervous. We are all different.

Ruby could benefit from busting out of her shell and doing some things alone. I was afraid to go by myself and do things too in my younger years but tried it and found out it’s ok...fun even. Now days I go see some movies by myself and enjoy it. I don’t have to hear anyone talking through it or munching food in my ear..plus my fam and I like different kinds of shows. It works out fine. I was terrified to fly let alone by myself..but I was gifted a trip to Hawaii after chemo and I did it! It was great. I met my childhood BFF there and had an amazing time. Anxiety sucks..but you can do it. Got to believe in yourself.

I totally do agree that we don't have to hate on everything here. I wish though that the same would be true when you are talking about Ellie, which often times seems to be pure hate coming from you.HelloSweetie wrote: ↑Wed Feb 13, 2019 10:07 amElah_w wrote:I flew plenty of times with family, friends, significant other, etc but flew for the first time alone a few years ago. Concerning Ruby and the airport, I'm not really sure what to think. I could be actual anxiety or stress, but a few weeks back she also mentioned that she can't go to the gym by herself. She needs Kevin there to help her out. It's hard to know if she is really anxious, or just uncomfortable to be on her own, or possibly dependent on male "leadership", because she was brought up in that specific environment. Plus she is forgetting and mixing up a lot of other things too, especially her kid's appointments, seems to always forget something when they take a trip or go to the airport and couldn't find her way back from the temple to her apartment in Hawaii, so there actually might be a bigger problem.

Seriously? I’ve defended Ellie on the anxiety issue, her right to quit breatfeeding, etc. Stop making things personal and trying to dismiss my opinion by going OT just because you disagree on this one point and is irritated you. Maybe you only think I hate on Ellie excessively because you like her? Would you like someone to argue that whenever you try to make a point? All the Griffiths are so similar at this point it seems insane to like one and hate on another.LilaRose wrote:I totally do agree that we don't have to hate on everything here. This goes for a lot of people that have made this a habit. If your point speaks for itself let it do so without going on the attack of other posters.

The irony of the post doesn’t escape me....
You seem to be arguing left and right with people. Maybe you need to change how you approach writing your posts?

Perception is everything.
You seem to keep calling me out personally. Where is the post where I’ve done that to you?

Plus, she left her laptop in the car as well. And listening to Kevin wasn't useful anyway, because she said she printed out what he told her to, and it was her baggage voucher, not her boarding pass. So it would be good for her to be more self reliant.
Although if all of these memory issues are real and not just "I'm ditzy. Isn't it cute?" for vlog footage, she might do well to get checked out.

Nearly every comment I make is quoted by you...
It’s not just me you’ve taken issue with. However it is just you that I seem to have an issue with. And nearly every comment from others who bite back to your disregarding their opinion gets a lot of likes.
It’s getting old. Two mod “warnings” yesterday to everyone to watch the way we post haven’t changed anything. Anyone who doesn’t agree with your opinion is attacked and dismissed because only you can be right. It details almost every thread you post in.

Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
I have just come to the conclusion that everyone has a different opinion/experience/life view/education. I'll never be able to understand many of the choices or views some people take.
Ruby might have been raised to be poorly educated and fully dependent on a man, but I think it is perfectly reasonable for people not in that situation, to point out how toxic it can be, using her regular "breakdowns" as one example. She doesn't just "breakdown" at the check-in gate, but all the time. Policing comments specifically about airports in the grand scheme of all that is Ruby, is quite puzzling. It is all fair game on a gossip thread, and in life.
I would find it just as strange, for someone to fall on their sword defending the questionable treatment of Nolly, simply because they "have a fear of dogs" themselves. Coloring our view of others' behavior and choices with our own is natural, but being aggressively unable to recognize it, is alarming. I doubt I would be able to have a productive exchange of ideas if I ever met Ruby, and that is okay. That is why I am fascinated by her and her dysfunctional family....from a safe distance....

Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
I found the flashback video of when they bring Ellie home from the hospital really revealing as well. I think part of the reason Ruby seems to detest Julie so much, is that they are so alike in a lot of ways, down to the Tourette's like tics that feature in that video. It is sad that history seems to be repeating.
The fact that the same tics seem to present in both, makes me wonder if genetics play a part, or if Ruby (and Julie) still experience them, and take great care not to reveal it in the vlogs. She even took Julie to the doctor to discuss it. She didn't even take Russel for his "broken finger", when she declared she would because she herself had gone untreated as a child....is that why Julie got to go?

Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
Yes, there was a vlog about it. "Diagnosing why Julie BLINKS so Much".....
ETA: This is also where Ruby goes to the wrong Pediatrician's office, that she claims she had been taking her 6 young children to for a decade. The receptionist told her the doctor was never at that building, and directed her down the street to the correct location/doctor.

Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
She did, the video is called "Diagnosing why Julie BLINKS so Much". It was more of an appointment for an infected toe nail that she used to bring up the ticks and not an appointment because Ruby was concerned.
In the video she says that she (Ruby) had a nervous tick like Julies, it was stress and went away on its on after a few months.
The dr. (according to Ruby) says she doesn't have Tourette's. That whatever is going on will go away in time and to ignore it.

Stress from having a Mom and siblings who don't care about her and bully her... and then apparently, she gets bullied at school as well. Add on that the stress of basically being a child actor for youtube..no wonder she had (has?) stress ticks.

I think she might be, every time she holds Prickles, her eyes are red and itchy and she's sniffling. But, I don't think they've confirmed it in the vlogs or with an allergist or anything.

Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
Poor Julie. She’s my favorite and honestly why I watch, other than just watching because it’s like a bad train wreck. I wish I could swoop her away from her dumb family and show her how great she is.
I know kids definitely get stressed out from life and everything, but I feel like the doctor or Ruby should be a little concerned if she’s stressed enough to have a physical reaction like that? I would definitely want to investigate what was going on with my child if she had stress tics. Hell, I have made some pretty major life changes for my dogs because I didn’t want them to be stressed/need to do what’s best for them mentally and physically!
The way they treat Julie makes me sick. I want to smack Chad for how he talks to her. I know what it’s like to have a sibling talk to you like that, and it honestly destroys you. I know this was pointed out but in a recent vlog he said “Julie go upstairs, no one wants you right now!” When they were all in the basement together. No one did anything. My heart absolutely broke for that girl. And then when they were going to the go-Kart place for Chad’s bday, you can hear him say that he’s not sitting next to Julie in the car. It was almost like they meant to cut it out (or missed it) cause it was real quick but I heard it. I just can’t understand why Julie... she is so sweet. It’s probably because she’s a little more quiet and an easy target. Maybe Ruby thinks she doesn’t make for good footage or it stems from when she was a baby. Who knows. But it is incredibly fucked up.
I know this is bad but sometimes I still wonder if Ruby is addicted to painkillers or has some lasting effects from that... something ain’t right with this lady.
