Wow, they just prayed away Janae's food issues? It's a modern Jesus miracle! GO Mormons!
JK...what the actual fuck?! Do they even have a doctor for her to see in Puerto Rico? How do they know it was ok to remove the tube?
I'm glad she's drinking more calories, but is she gaining any weight? She honestly doesn't look much bigger than when she was in the hospital. I also think she looks a little sickly most of the time. She'll be two in two weeks, but she looks closer to one. There are several YTers with girls around her age and they are way bigger and seem more developed.
Hopefully Janae is actually improving and her weirdo parents aren't religious lunatics and hurting their child.
I definitely agree with you.Janae still looks the same.I think they just took the feeding tube out because they didn’t want to mess with it.I was hoping they would stay in Kansas City till she started gaining weight and being under a doctor care.
I think that it's redicolus that people think they can pray and things just go away. I don't believe that she progressed at all. She do look the same. I also am on the bandwagon that they took it out and said shag it so they wouldn't have to deal with it. That in my opinion is not good at all. It's like they went over the heads of the Dr and said we will do what we want. I rally hope that the Dr is ok with them in PR with Janae and Calebs health issues. It's like they moved for their own selfish reasons and never thought of the kids at all. Plus I 110% believe that this is all Jeremys wanting to do.
I really really hope Janae (and Caleb) both are under a doctors care in Puerto Rico, I also really hope they get her out of that pack n play soon, it's got to be uncomfortable (maybe it's just me lol)
So I started watching them a bit late and am trying to catch up on vlogs... can someone explain to me why the fuck they had Janae sleeping in a CLOSET?

I think it's because they wanted her close and not the older girls were sharing a room. Honestly, they had her in the bathroom closet. Which is gross imo.
I find this family more strange every year. It's like they sound too much positive and then when they were in PR they had enough of janaes feeding tube and said shag it.

There is something so different about the "vlogs" now...I think they seem overly produced and somewhat staged. It seems to happen to all the family vloggers who find massive financial success from YT.
I do wonder how the kids are doing in PR. They don't go to school and they don't seem to have any other kids around in their neighborhood. Hopefully they do meet some kids from church or something.
I 100% agree this was a selfish move that Jeremy decided they should do for tax reasons. The fact that they HID him traveling back and forth to PR to plan the move and find the house really says a lot about how much they really hide from the vlogs. I totally changed my mind about him after the interview with Shay. He's just in this for MONEY. I thought Kendra started the channel as a hobby...but it was HIM and it was to totally make a quick buck. LAME!

It's messed up. That is exactly what happen. Please don’t call it a miracle That isn’t a miracle. That is a parents descision.I can’t believe they put that in the title.
Does anyone know how their views are doing since they moved? J house is the one vlog I used to watch religiously, but since the move I feel indifferent. Somehow I've lost connection with them, and I'm really trying to figure out why.
The loud echo-ey house is definitely one thing. But the videos also seem disjointed and not so real. It feels like they didn't really "take us with them" but they feel distant. It's intriguing because Kansas city is just as far away as Puerto Rico from me.
Anyone think there is more to the missions story than they are telling? Have they openly talked about why his mom is there? Could they be down there supporting missions in some way? And they just aren't talking a ton about it to stay more generic?
I know they aren't a perfect family, but they kept a good balance of genuine life in their vlogs, and their kids are so cute and inquisitive. I'm sad that I no longer care to watch...

I’m not sure how their views have been but I have to agree with you. I loved watching them as they were really the only family vloggers left that seemed genuine to me. But the vlog posted today (March 1st) was from the day before Caleb’s birthday, which would be February 10th. I understand moving is hard and they needed a break, but these videos are a month old and they still only post 3 times a week, which to me just seems lazy. No one wants to see content from a month ago especially when we are going to be approaching Valentine’s Day in their vlogs. It just seems like they’re really uploading these videos to not lose their income and nothing seems genuine to me anymore.
I just hope they are OK. It seems like they were moving for the experience (and of the vlog content and opportunity to do something interesting and keep views up and $$ coming in) so I'm a little confused why so little and not that great vlog content. If business played a big part in the decision, I can't imagine that this was their ideal plan. Which makes me concerned because I really like them.
I enjoy the adventure vlogs but also miss the home vlogs where they showed the kids helping with meals and homeschooling, all they seem to be vlogging is hikes and swimming.
Janae still seems so small! I wish they'd do a real update on her health...not just a "we decided she's better because we prayed for it" fake update. Obviously she seems happy, but she looks so fragile and tiny.

I think they said Frig the feeding tube themselves and said that they know best for their kid and went against Dr's orders.
My understanding of the feeding tube situation was that they prayed about it and then Jeremy had the idea to give Janae the Pediasure by mouth rather than through the feeding tube. And it worked. So now instead of getting whatever volume through the tube she drinks that same volume, so the original goal of supplementing her nutrition is met. I would hope they okayed this with their doctor, but from a purely logical perspective, it seems like it could be just fine. Nutrition in stomach seems like goal accomplished to me. At least I can see why they thought they solved the problem. l do hope they are in communication with doctors though!
I'm not exactly sure why they didn't try giving her Pediasure to drink first or the doctor did not suggest it. Or maybe it didn't work at first but now it is and so that's the miracle.
I actually didn't watch for a while and kind of thought she looked a little taller /leaner. But I could be biased.

I see what you are saying.I thought I heard the same thing. What bugs me the miracle that happen.I thought that was poor choice. It really rub me the wrong way.I deal with spastic cerebral palsy I deal with it everyday. It was a parent decision. It was not a miracle.

Oh absolutely. Not a miracle by any stretch. I have a chronic health condition as well and about a year ago I tried a new medication that has literally changed my life su much for the better. But I wouldn't consider that a miracle.
If they want to be religious about it, call it a blessing. And be thankful for your own brain that helped you solve it and help your daughter.
Something about this family seems so off since they've moved to Puerto Rico. I think Kendra seems REALLY depressed and just really sad—her energy is just totally gone. I don't think moving to PR was a good idea for their family, but I think Jeremy really pushed her to do it for his own reasons.
PR in the summer is going to be hot, humid and rainy. The kids will most likely be inside all day. I'm curious if they even stay all summer because it's definitely not "fun in the sun" weather. It's literally "walk outside and immediately start sweating" weather.
Anyway, my main point is that they don't seem all that happy in PR and the family dynamic has changed. Initially, I just thought it was the editing style, but lately they just seem unhappy.
I'm sad to hear that. They were my favorite family vloggers, but I lost interest and stopped watching shortly after they moved to PR. The move just never sat right with me. I couldn't see how it was a good move for their family at this stage.
I would imagine that the major differences btw PR and KC, as well as the relative isolation (physically from family/friends but also the language barriers with potential new friends) could have a negative impact on anxiety and depression. I hope Kendra is ok.
Soooo I'm a little late on this but the decided to send their kids to summer school that's basically school every day for a month. I haven't watched the video on why they made the decision but I'm betting it's because there isnt too much to do or something along those lines
