Re: ThisGatheredNest
Whenever the two biological daughters talk (the oldest two) I get ‘homeschooled kids’ vibes- like socially inept, academically brilliant, somewhat sheltered vibes- and it all comes out in the way they talk on camera. Please don’t lynch me but you know how home schooled kids are socially awkward- Shelby and Kennedy are definitely getting to that stage

They did a Q and A together recently on the second channel where they went into it.Rookie wrote:I think they said they would sit down and film a video about CR's situation with work, but my bet is that he quit because seriously, no work place (especially his which was a bank I believe?) is flexible enough to give you 1 month offLjs wrote: ↑Mon Feb 18, 2019 7:12 pmYes the "renovations" are a joke. Has CR quit his job or on leave? I always thought it was extremely generous that he was allowed to work from home given his home is 7 kids being home schooled.WheresMyCoffee wrote: ↑Sun Feb 17, 2019 6:15 pm So much this.
Nobody I know could do this, most people sell their home and almost verything in it to afford this. and she redoes an RV and they arent even living in it FT.

I totally agree! The problem with (most) homeschooled kids is that they only interact with kids within their family (cousins, siblings, etc) I don't recall either of them ever mentioning other friends, which is detrimental in the long run because at some point they're going to have to interact with others outside the family and they won't have much social skills. Just my two centsmelaniieee333 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 21, 2019 4:00 am Whenever the two biological daughters talk (the oldest two) I get ‘homeschooled kids’ vibes- like socially inept, academically brilliant, somewhat sheltered vibes- and it all comes out in the way they talk on camera. Re: ThisGatheredNest
They were literally just in Universal Studios with their friends. Also, there are plenty of socially awkward kids in public schools. Honestly, I feel like everyone goes through an awkward time at some point. K & S will be fine.
Re: ThisGatheredNest
Man, it sucks that some people only run into “those” kind of home schoolers. My kids are home schooled. And I’m not saying they’re perfect but we interact with people different from us all the time! Sports, parties, neighborhood kids, outings. We in NO way only interact with just each other or just home schoolers for that matter. I mean, our extended family is quite diverse and way different from us even. I’m so thankful that we aren’t just in our own bubble. Yes, we are somewhat sheltered in some ways but we definitely make the effort to be out and about with “normal” (lol) people.Rookie wrote: ↑Thu Feb 21, 2019 11:23 amI totally agree! I'm really sorry if I offended you, I promise it wasn't my intention! I'm just speaking from my experience of kids I've met. And I definitely don't think it's bad, because there are a lot of parents like you who actually do it right and put a lot of effort into it.dahell wrote: ↑Sun Feb 24, 2019 5:04 pmMan, it sucks that some people only run into “those” kind of home schoolers. Seriously! No offense taken. I really meant that it sucks when people don’t run into “both kinds” of home schoolers. My kids are in classes on Mondays and I organize a class where people from the community come to speak. I can usually tell the ones with very little home school interaction because they have certain questions to me at the end and they always seem pleasantly surprised that a group of “normal”, nice kids get together with other kids on a regular basis. Lol.Rookie wrote: ↑Sun Feb 24, 2019 5:13 pmI'm really sorry if I offended you, I promise it wasn't my intention! I'm just speaking from my experience of kids I've met. Thanks for apologizing, that’s really nice of you. And I get why the stereotype is there. And I TOTALLY get that it’s true sometimes! But I’m not offended.

Their views have been tanking lately. I'm sure she's regretting dedicating her main channel to 100% family content now that YouTube has been demonetizing and limiting engagement. Also that's a terrible picture of Amelia.ForeverGauc01 wrote:

Kind of disappointed she didn’t say anything about channels who do in fact exploit their children. Not by naming names but it seemed like she was just saying this is harming innocent people and that she cares about kid safety and YouTube could just demonetize you randomly for no reason but she didn’t really address the fact that family vloggers are putting their kids in these situations. Maybe she couldn’t say anything, I don’t know, she’s just usually passionate about stuff so I expected more from her. Maybe she would give a more detailed account of her feelings on her own channel.
Seems crazy that they scoffed at the YouTube going away thing when they said CR quit his job and then this happens and they don’t know their future. Sure they say they have other avenues but he had a well paying job with (probably) good benefits if he worked for a big bank or financial institution.

Re: ThisGatheredNest
Maybe these youtubers should all step back and take a look at their lives. If both parents are financially depending on their children to support them then YOU ARE EXPLOITING YOUR CHILDREN.
Just because you dont show your home address or your kid in the bathtub does not mean you arent putting them at risk. If you show the ouitside of your neighbors home or the home across the street, or even what color your home is you may as well just throw your address out there too because it is THAT EASY. If a crazy person knows what the house across the street from you looks like and that you (just as an example) have a dark brick home with trees in the front they can find your home. If you tell your viewers your kids school is within walking distance (like Jesssfam) then they can easily find the school. We know these kids first, middle and last names. You are asking your kids to perform for the camera. You get them to do Q&As and "get to know ___" videos. You need them for sponsored content. So again, for the youtubers in the back, if you are using your children in videos that are paying your bills and this is your sole/main source of income, YOU ARE EXPLOITING YOUR CHILDREN.
Dont play the victim.

Re: ThisGatheredNest
Did anyone see her on Instagram stories complaining about being tired in Paris, poor Angie only got one hour of sleep! She is on what is probably an all expense paid trip with JUST her husband while her seven children stay home. Does she realize how many parents with seven children under 12 get to go away just with their partner? Not many! This woman’s entire life is a vacation and she manages to constantly complain.

Not sure if it's the same video you watched...but some time back she did say they were updating their home study. Sounds to me another adoption is coming.WheresMyCoffee wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 5:46 pm did anyone catch her implying they are having more kids in that yt video??
Re: ThisGatheredNest
Yes, in her latest video she said something like "we have news, 2017 kinda news *wink face*" and in 2017 she got pregnant with the twins...so idkgibberish wrote:Not sure if it's the same video you watched...but some time back she did say they were updating their home study. Yep. I heard it. And back when they got this camper and decided on traveling my immediate thought was, “I bet they are using the money they make off this year of travel videos to fund another adoption and then we won’t see the camper for years.” Did I not write that on here? Lol. I know I said it to my husband.

Re: ThisGatheredNest
Didn’t Angie and CR go to Europe to get pregnant with the twins? Do you think that could be why she’s in Europe? To do another embryo adoption? Highly unlikely as I don’t think she’s put herself through another pregnancy but just a thought.
