The Lindquists
Re: The Lindquists
re: Everyday Extraordinary series
While I have found the guests to be interesting thus far, I do find it difficult to listen to Elle as an interviewer. She constantly brings conversation back to her story and relaying the golden nuggets she learned in therapy instead of letting the interview focus on the interviewee. I am surprised that some cringeworthy parts were not edited out (maybe they have?):
--the backpack/empty pipes crap she mentioned in the last interview with her MIL (and previously in other videos)
--9:25 When the guest spoke about music and singing and Elle cuts in and says "For me, cause I'm a singer as well...." Yeah, okay Elle, except this woman goes on to say that this is what she does full time and this IS NOT ABOUT YOU!
--When Elle explains how she believes God is love and how we are made in love; and proceeds to say to the woman who is infertile "you make 'love' to make a baby". Just wow. So insensitive... (wanted to time stamp this but now cannot find it)

Re: The Lindquists
I couldn't watch the whole thing as she makes it too much about her. Too bad as her guest is fascinating and I would have liked to hear her story in a more linear timeline.Skinnie wrote:re: Everyday Extraordinary series

Elle is playing therapist on YouTube for this series. Can't wait to see what persona she comes up with next when she gets bored with this one.

Re: The Lindquists
I remember a while ago she said she wanted to work on things like that. Her always turning the conversation on herself and making it about her. She clearly hasn’t done anything.

Re: The Lindquists
I’m halfway through this interview posted today. She brought up the pipes again.
I find it interesting how both her MIL, and now this woman, both reference their hair and how it defined them during those adolescent years. Something Elle should have touched based on but she was probably too busy wondering how she looked on camera with that stupid ear piece on.

I don’t understand what all this backpack full of pipes business is. That analogy makes zero sense.

Re: The Lindquists
I bet she wrote an entire chapter about pipes for her “book”. Maybe the title of her “book” will be “A head full of lead” or “Girl, wash your pipes”. “A pipeful of Dreams”. I could go on...okaythatlldo wrote:I don’t understand what all this backpack full of pipes business is. That analogy makes zero sense.

She has reached peak obnoxious with that “game day” photo. It’s so awkward! Ugh why is she so gross.

Re: The Lindquists
“Day in the life of a stay at home mom of 3” on a Sunday. 12 minute vlog and kids are only in it for 1.5 minutes because it’s all about Elle.
I’m really confused how someone who used to be a hair dresser doesn’t know how to work their $230 hair curler.
Someone let Sobeys know that Elle buys her game day snacks at Loblaws because she filmed this yesterday which was Sunday, and then posted an Instagram post on that same day about shopping at Sobeys for her game day snacks. Liar liar pants on fire.

Maybe if Sobeys sold clothes made by sweat shop workers in a collapsed factory in Bangladesh, she would have shopped there yesterday.

Re: The Lindquists
Maybe I’m just cheap but in what world is $16 a good price for a pair of kids sweat pants? He’s likely going to rip a hole in them anyways, so it’s not like she could pass them on to Cohen.
Also love that she’s sponsored by sobeys but shops at a lablaws store.

Re: The Lindquists
Has anyone called her out on buying the props for her sobeys sponsorships from loblaws?
I can’t wait for that response.

Re: The Lindquists
I couldn’t get over how much “stuff” Elle bought on her trip to not Sobeys. She preaches a minimalist lifestyle but all those things combined with an expensive hair curler...she must have a Monica closet or basement where she keeps all her stuff cause I’m not buying it.

Re: The Lindquists
It must be driving her nuts because she gets so much validation from the comments, so she is pushing people to comment elsewhere to keep feeding her fire.Seriouslysweetie wrote:Haha no.TeachIT wrote:Does she think people actually care about her YT comments section?

Re: The Lindquists
The weird thing is in that IG post she actually says how much she moderates the comments...what is the point of having them if only allowing the compliments? She makes out as if she is maintaining a 'safe space' for her community but what she is really doing is stifling any dissent.okaythatlldo wrote: ↑Tue Feb 26, 2019 9:07 amIt must be driving her nuts because she gets so much validation from the comments, so she is pushing people to comment elsewhere to keep feeding her fire.Seriouslysweetie wrote:Haha no.TeachIT wrote:Does she think people actually care about her YT comments section?

Many of her diehard fans have the same attitude getting very defensive... I have seen how her fans treat anyone who criticizes Elle in the comments. On rare occasion I have replied to a poster's comment(if I find it really ignorant) and I get responses like 'my comment was for Elle' or emojiis ...no adult discourse. Her comment section is definitely not a place to engage in discussion or have debate at all...just praise dear leader.

Exactly this. All of her self worth comes from her fans gushing over her, which is why it DESTROYS her when anyone doesn’t fawn all over her. Or there’s any “negativity” (aka not ass kissing) in her comments.

Good morning, good morning, you guys. Here is one minute of footage of my $300 tea equipment.
What would I do without Elle showing us how to make oatmeal?

Re: The Lindquists
Does she eat enough calories? I can’t stand to actually watch her videos lately. But I’m assuming she is basically showing off how pure and healthy she is compared to us plebeians.
