Didn’t Chad used to have a smartphone and then went to a flip phone??

Why does she keep asking viewers questions when the comment section is off? I bet she thinks Chad will be looking at porn on a smartphone and that’s a big part of not getting him one. :?

If this is honestly the reason, then I don’t blame her. Chad is 14.

If Chad can’t be responsible with a smart phone, then I don’t see the problem with his not having one. This doesn’t mean his sister can’t have one either Image

So Ruby is reading a load of books and writing her own book using all the info from the books she’s read?

Anyone with a lot of time on their hands want to find some proof and call her out on plagiarism when she’s done? The Girl, wash your face writer has been called out quite a few times for plagiarizing others self help books.

This woman doesn’t ever have an original thought in her head. You bet she’s plagiarizing other authors work. OMG! She’s so stupid she showed us what she’s been doing. Face palm from hell! :-o

Even if it’s unintentional it’s so easy to borrow ideas from something you’ve read and think you’ve come up with something original. I feel like someone of Ruby’s (below average) intelligence should not be reading other books whilst trying to write hers. She’s 100% gonna end up plagerising. Whether it’s intentional or not

She will definitely plagiarize...assuming the ghost writer/editor will actually let her provide any of the content. The most insane part is that she thinks someone should give her a masters, or a doctorate for it. She has no ida how hard it is for most people to make it through 6+ yrs of advanced education. She says she will get a career next, and then a degree. I call BS. I do feel sorry for her. She is only now seeing outside her tiny world and realizing that she didn't want this life for herself. Then again, I don't. Ruby is doing NOTHING to make sure Shari doesn't make the exact same mistakes in a year or two, that will set her up for a similar "marriage of urgency" and a life of regret.

On Julie's secret/watch....I still call BS. She refused to acknowledge the second secret of supposedly paying Eve $16 for an "LOL code" she could have read it off a paper while Eve wasn't in the room (if she really wanted it/it ever existed).

* Verizon lists their current Gizmo for $179.99. So Julie has$300+ to spend now?
* Where can you even get a Gizmo watch for less than $90? Ebay? No wonder it is an outdated model not supported by Verizon, and it took FOREVER to get.
* Are they going to make "Julia's parents" return the budget watch?
* What parents would allow their 10 yr old kid to spend hundreds of dollars "behind their backs", and then allow them to upgrade it, so they can also pay a monthly connection fee at Verizon?

I think Ruby may have concocted the Secret themed vlogs to sidestep Chad being denied a phone while granting Julie one. Or she let Julie produce the charade, and didn't know the true cost until she already committed to it.

I feel like Ruby won’t give into Chad having a smartphone just because she’s stubborn like that. Same with him getting Vans. I just think she likes to say no and act like it makes her a good mom. Plus Chad having a flip phone has become such a thing on their channel and I feel like she just won’t give in now because she will feel weak, and that making him use a flip phone makes her a super mom. I’m sure we’ll hear about it in her book. I think 14 is old enough for a smartphone if she thinks it’s old enough for him to watch his younger siblings. He can have a smartphone and have parental blocks and have to give it to Ruby at night or something. There’s ways to make it work. Have you tried using a flip phone lately? It’s pretty hard and they’re slow even on 4g! Chad will probably be more active on YouTube so he can get one like Shari did lol.

Did anyone notice how Russell seemed kind of scared when he asked if Ruby could make waffles because she hasn’t made them in so long? And of course she says no lol. Why even put something like that in the video?

Julie saying “you guys it finally came!” About her watch was so scripted. I just imagined Ruby making her say that line 10 times until she sounded excited enough, while Julie was probably thinking what a weirdo her mom is.

I don’t really see the problem with not getting Chad a smart phone. We’ve all seen his behavior on the videos and Ruby did make a few good points that she sees more as his parent and knows that he would not be responsible with one right now. Besides, he has a phone - not the one he wants, but still has one.

I DO think that they need to step it up and teach/guide/mentor Chad so that he can become and do better as he gets older, but I don’t see that happening lol

100% agree! Chad does not deserve a smartphone, he is not entitled to a smartphone. His behavior alone in Verizon in front of the worker proves that he is not ready and mature enough for a smart phone.

I don't watch her vlogs anymore because I cant stand her but am I understanding it correctly that Chad can't have a smartphone because he's "not ready for one?" But it's okay that he has a girlfriend and Ruby constantly endorses it and vlogs about it constantly? So he's responsible enough to "date" Kelsy but not responsible enough for a phone. Anything for attention and views. Ruby only cares about money and attention.

Because these vlogs were filmed before the YT/Adpocolypse started and comments were disabled.
But yeah. Absolutely doesn’t want Chad to have a smartphone because of all the things he’d have access to.

She lets him use WiFi on his iPod as well as the computer, so I don’t really see the difference in what he would have access to.

I kinda feel like one of the biggest reasons Ruby won't give Chad a smartphone is because she doesn't want him to spend too much time on it. She'd much rather he be active in the videos. Ruby acknowledged that Chad was a huge source of interest for their viewers. In her silly minimalist video (would Ruby have ever deemed herself a minimalist if the Marie Kondo series didn't become wildly popular on Netflix?) she says something like "If you're here for Chad, go watch a different video" or something like that. Can't risk letting Chad be a normal teenager if it's going to cost them views.

So she said in the latest video that she was happy that the kids were off school, I mean, who would be? You have to take care of 5 extra kids!

i think Chad just has an addictive personnality and is more likely to get addicted to his phone and stop reading and doing his homeworks (ive seen that with lots of boys his ages playing minecraft and other stupid video games)
Ruby even once talked about Chad getting addicted to video games once and having bad results at school so i dont blame her one bit!
Feel free to correct my mistakes... English isnt my main language :D
