So she said in the latest video that she was happy that the kids were off school, I mean, who would be? You have to take care of 5 extra kids!

Because you would actually have to get out of bed and take care of your children for this to matter...........she doesn't take care of her kids. If the older kids are home, even better, they can take care of Eve and Russell when they need something. Ruby is too busy laying in bed, reading 100's of books so she can copy it for her upcoming book, and dreaming up "content" for her channel. She is too busy to be bothered to actually parent her moneymakers (kids)

This woman is a maniac. Her newest IG post is a photo of Abby looking kind of shy and a caption saying she had a sex talk with her. Why would you publicly post about that?? I would be mortified if I was a 12 year old girl and my mom posted that on instagram. She exploits these children so badly.

I kinda feel like one of the biggest reasons Ruby won't give Chad a smartphone is because she doesn't want him to spend too much time on it. She'd much rather he be active in the videos. Ruby acknowledged that Chad was a huge source of interest for their viewers. In her silly minimalist video (would Ruby have ever deemed herself a minimalist if the Marie Kondo series didn't become wildly popular on Netflix?) she says something like "If you're here for Chad, go watch a different video" or something like that. Can't risk letting Chad be a normal teenager if it's going to cost them views.

Not that I'm saying he should have one because those things are mind rotters. But it's pathetic that any concern over her kids is ultimately down to what will happen to her vlogs. I hope YouTube targets them soon

I guess they meant that it had internet browser, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram etc all loaded onto it as standard. As it’s a 4g enabled phone it can access 4g data and therefore he can get on essentially anything on it. The only way it’s different from a smart phone is that it’s not touch screen, slow, a flip phone etc. But it seems to have all the functions of a smart phone that ruby didn’t want chad to have access to

I don't know why Shari would advertise that they are 8th cousins, because we are all instinctually programmed to think "gross" when sexual intimacy with a "relative" is brought up. However 8th cousins marrying probably happens constantly, they just don't research it and announce it. It is legal in many states to even marry 1st cousins (although not socially acceptable). Once you get to 8th cousins, we are all effectively related......there is no "genetic risk".

I thought it was interesting that Chad asked her why she would "date" her cousin though. So even the kids understand they are "dating" their boyfriends/girlfriends and they aren't just "crushing on them?"....

See..I have for a long time thought Gma and Gpa Griffiths are somehow inbred. It’s a thing for some. Ew.. I also think that kind of thing results in not only birth defects but low intelligence in off spring. That’s prob why most the Griffiths kids are so dumb..and THEIR kids have learning/behavior problems.

I’m sure it happens all the time but it’s def not something I would announce to everyone lol. I feel like it’s pretty common with Mormons in Utah since they pretty much exclusively marry within their religion. That doesn’t leave a ton of other people after thousands of years lol

Mormons haven't even been around for 200 years yet! In the scheme of religions, it is brand new (like Scientology). I would assume that fact, combined with only marrying within the religion, would make the gene pool pretty shallow. It doesn't help that they tend to marry people within one geographical location too. Maybe their obsession with genealogy was born out of prevention of inbreeding. I hear their genealogical library/network is quite impressive.

On the other hand, many Fundamentalist Mormons (FLDS) intentionally marry their siblings/children/cousins, and one man can marry several mothers/sisters/daughters from the same family making all sorts of creepy grandma-daughter-aunt-cousin mutants. You can often see the inbreeding just in their facial structure.

Also, I just learned that Ted Bundy was welcomed with open arms into the Mormon church in the heyday of his raping/killing/necrophilia spree. The church even defended him until his first conviction. Are Mormons so terrified of pornography because Ted Bundy tried to use that as a last ditch "defense", for why he victimized hundreds of young women?

Does Ruby think Chad will become a psychopathic serial killer if he gets his hands on a nude picture? I hope she knows that porn doesn't create violent psychopaths, and preventing access to porn won't stop a violent psychopath from becoming a violent psychopath. She should be looking for dead animals in the backyard if she is that is what she is so worried about....

Ruby has only said she thinks it will keep him from doing other things he should be doing. However, once she found out he has access to "everything" now, she has no reason to prevent him from getting a smart phone, because the parental controls would manage that concern. So if he doesn't get one, the only conclusion I can come up with is that she doesn't want him to have the "access" and is not actually worried about the time spent on it.

After seeing a bunch of Mormon vloggers wearing their "porn destroys lives" t-shirts, watching the Ted Bundy documentary where he embarrassed the church horribly, and then comments here about Ruby being scared of Chad accessing porn......I just started theorizing. How do Mormons think porn destroys lives and why are they so vocal about it? I know a lot of religious people against porn, but they don't incorporate t-shirts into their everyday wardrobe.....

Oh wow I didn’t know the Mormon religion was that new! I feel dumb lol but thanks for educating me on that! That makes it even more strange to me. We had a few I grew up with in southern CA but it’s soo foreign to me. It seems... cultish? It’s so odd to me how they’re like always blonde too lol. Maybe that’s just the YouTube Mormons though...
