Kattiness Everdeen wrote: Thu Feb 28, 2019 7:54 pm Does Ruby think Chad will become a psychopathic serial killer if he gets his hands on a nude picture? I hope she knows that porn doesn't create violent psychopaths, and preventing access to porn won't stop a violent psychopath from becoming a violent psychopath. She should be looking for dead animals in the backyard if she is that is what she is so worried about....
Has she said she's worried about his access to porn causing violence? If not I would assume she's just not wanting him to get into it because it's frowned upon (perhaps forbidden) by the church (as with many conservative and Christian groups) and also it can be addictive and its been mentioned that Chad has an addictive personality.
Ruby has only said she thinks it will keep him from doing other things he should be doing. However, once she found out he has access to "everything" now, she has no reason to prevent him from getting a smart phone, because the parental controls would manage that concern. So if he doesn't get one, the only conclusion I can come up with is that she doesn't want him to have the "access" and is not actually worried about the time spent on it.

After seeing a bunch of Mormon vloggers wearing their "porn destroys lives" t-shirts, watching the Ted Bundy documentary where he embarrassed the church horribly, and then comments here about Ruby being scared of Chad accessing porn......I just started theorizing. How do Mormons think porn destroys lives and why are they so vocal about it? I know a lot of religious people against porn, but they don't incorporate t-shirts into their everyday wardrobe.....
I feel like so many of the Mormon vlogger husbands watch porn on the daily Image

My Mom taught me if you don’t have enough to share..don’t eat in front of people. Holy shit Ruby hasn’t even taught her kids basic manners.

So Bonnie had the ski trip on Feb. 21 and they have like a one week delay so Ruby is quite a bit delayed with their vlogs. Was this a Saturday trip to ski because if I remember correctly it was a school day? School attendance doesn't seem a high priority with any of these siblings!

I love the ending where Ruby tells Chad he's so much more faster this year-hope her book editor checks the grammar!

Mothersarepowerful...ya...the ones who actually pack food for her children so they’re not lightheaded on the ski slopes! Idiot! Shit...I take my kids and their friends to swim at the river and I pack enough picnic to feed a small army.

It seems like food is always a privilege in this family. It’s so strange. Like I know Ruby is trying to be ~minimalist~ but making sure your growing children have enough to eat is apart of their basic needs! It makes me so uncomfortable that these kids hoard food in their rooms. I get having your siblings take your food and all that, I experienced it too, but we see how little these kids get for meal portions... it makes me very worried.

What time did they go skiing. Had the kids not had breakfast? It’s odd for kids to be so hungry their lightheaded, they hadn’t even started skiing yet?!
I can honestly say I was lucky enough to never experience that as a child until I was a teenager and skipped breakfast in favour of more sleep.
The kids should have had a proper breakfast/lunch prior to a full day skiing. A measly granola bar isn’t going to fuel a day of exercise?!

I doubt it was very early, as Shari made a point to say that the "adults" (Shari, Ruby and Kevin) decided on the "surprise" ski trip the night before. So if that was true, they had to have been scrambling searching for gear/getting the kids ready and the littles dropped off. We know Ruby is incapable of dragging Eve out of bed before she is ready.

I think it was Julie who once got to have breakfast at an aunt's house, and she was amazed that she was allowed to eat as much as she wanted. So even if they did get breakfast, I doubt it was enough to sustain toting heavy gear, much less skiing. I have never actually seen a person go skiing without packing sustenance.

How cruel. Does Ruby not realize that growing kids often need to eat more than adults, and to eat more frequently than adults? Or does she just assume kids are fine without snacks and can eat three small meals a day and be expected to be disciplined enough to only eat certain portion sizes?

It's not just Ruby. The Griffiths have a warped relationship with food. Ellie doesn't feed Jackson and Calvin enough all the time. Jackson was asking for a piece of toast the other day, and she said no, and acted like he was asking her to make a five course meal. He's always climbing in the pantry to get food for both himself and Calvin, and she acts surprised that he says they're hungry. When they do those Hello Fresh dinners, it looks pretty obvious that they are doing the meals for 2, not the family-size. Bonnie will feed all of the kids from one bowl of oatmeal. They stand around her while she sits in a chair, and spoons oatmeal into their mouths from one bowl. With one spoon.
They are one whackadoodle family. And their husbands just go along.

Bonnie seriously does that with the oatmeal? No wonder why her kids are constantly sick! How embarrassing too, isn't Olivia like 10 yrs old now? I guess these kids should just be lucky they get any food at all considering....

They could really mess up these kids’ metabolisms with the small portion sizes and skipping meals. I can not tell you one time where I was ever lightheaded as a kid from not eating. My parents would have never let that happen. It’s only happened to me as an adult when it’s my own fault.
I was always small for my age and I feel like I ate bigger portions when I was 8 than Chad does at 14. And he’s a teen boy, he should be eating like crazy because he’s growing fast and is active. There was a recent vlog when Chad said he was hungry and going to eat a burrito before bed and I was shocked that Ruby let him. Probably allowed it because the camera was on...
Does Kevin eat these tiny portion sizes? I guess he’s probably not home most of the time but I wonder because many men eat a lot. I’m always shocked at how much my husband can eat and he’s not overweight or anything. A Ruby sized meal would keep him full for like 10 mins.

Interesting about Bonnie is that she makes sure to feed her self and Joel unlike her sisters or could Ruby and Ellie be eating behind close doors because Kevin and Jared don't look like they're starving.

All her minimalist bullshit is driving me nuts! Who the hell has to keep buying glue guns because she keeps getting rid of them to have SPACE?! They’re small and last forever! Why oh why is she so stupid? Another shitty thing...don’t scold your kid for getting low math grades on the damn camera! Abbey looked so humiliated! How could you call yourself a Mother?! STOP being so cruel and controlling! The entire world sees this shit and it’s horrible. Feed your kids and pull your idiot head out of your ass! Another thing...it was not funny letting Eve on the dance floor! There was a competition going on you moron. You should have waltzed out there and got her yourself..it’s NOT Shari’s job...it’s a MOTHERS!

Haven't been on here in awhile, but seriously needed to comment on the events of today's vlog. Why in the heck would Ruby let Eve go out on the dance floor while an event was happening? Stupid stupid. Then asking Shari to go and get Eve! You're her mother Ruby, you go and get her, she's your responsibility. 😑 Another thing that irked me was when they were in the store and Ruby talked about Abby's low grade. How humiliating for Abby, you can tell she was embarassed by look on her face. Seriously Ruby get your crap together.
