I played LEGO endlessly as a kid and my kids both love playing LEGO. We do LEGO every single day! Thinking about it, I’m actually shocked she doesn’t have any considering Forde is “gifted” you’d think she would supplement with appropriate toys.
Speaking of her thinking Forde is gifted... that pisses me off, my son is actually gifted, like we paid a small fortune to have him formally diagnosed, and it doesn’t generally present the way that Forde is. I think her giving him false labels is frustrating to parents of truly gifted children, because giftedness is rarely linear and gifted children quite often appear as very chaotic because they have such asynchronous development. I’ll bet Cohen is the gifted one, not Forde...
Is Elle still saying Forde is “gifted”? I haven’t heard her and Dan mention it since last summer (Ive missed a lot of vlogs) but I figured once he started school she would realize he’s not actually gifted. Lots of kids can read in kindergarten, he’s not special. With her having a teaching background I would have expected that she taught him how to read and write at home. Since he doesn’t seem to have any friends (remember that kid he played with in the park and Elle freaked out that he was actually PLAYING WITH A KID and then she hunted down the mother so they could be besties) he probably learned a larger vocabulary because he was stuck at home with Elle all day.
If Forde was actually tested for and shown to be gifted (from Dan’s side obviously) then you better believe she would have a 6 part vlog series about it.
