Meh! Most ppl these days dont use their garages, I can count at least 2/3rds of my neighbors who either park in their driveway or have filled in one stall in their garages as a home office. My garage is full. It is the only room in my house thats not clean.
But Tawra does park in hers.

BTW Tawra made a big to do and a video about how she buys everything online from Walmart delivery, but today she said she shops at Kroger all the time.

Okay so Ill recap that video I posted...

Basically Tawra was walking out her garage door and saw the postman. She walked down to the mailbox and the mailman scanned the big box he was holding and handed it to her. She went inside and the package was an Amazon box, but was not Amazon sealed with Amazon tape, it was sealed with clear packing tape. Not only that BUT there was a black plastic comb taped to the box. When she opened it, it was a moldy smelling Native American Blanket with dog hair all over it. No note, no letter, nothing.
She looked at the tracking number and googled it an discovered that the BOX was a box she threw away a week or a month ago from Amazon that contained lights that Mike ordered.
Are you getting that?
Mike ordered lights from Amazon, he received them, threw the box away...
But a month later the same box somehow GOT A NATIVE BLANKET FOLDED NEATLY INSIDE IT, THEN WAS SEALED SHUT, A BLACK COMB TAPED TO IT AND THEN...WENT THRU THE POST OFFICE, WAS SCANNED and came back to their house!!

Who would do that? Who would take that box from their trash and send it back to them?

And they would TRASH that house.

I tore all my carpet out and installed vinyl in the one room that had no hardwoods.
Ill never go back to carpet. So much dirt in carpet. Im disgusted thinking how much dirt I tracked in, but could never see with carpet,
and the carpet held onto it all.

OMG I forgot about burning that tea towel. Shes done it several other times. Shes useless.
And everytime she makes chicken she splashes and drips chicken juice all over.
Then she just wipes her hands with a kitchen towel then touches the computer, this is why she gets ill.
Her fans correct her a lot. Notice that?

I think this is it, Tawra LOVES the attention, but hates the work. She was complaining about having to set up for the show.
I saw a fan write that she makes 20K a year, while Tawra was talking about buying a $500K house

An odd view of things, considering the authors and their family suffer chronically from a myriad of ailments.

This cookbook is a compilation of family recipes and Kellam's own processed food concoctions. A number of the recipes are NOT original yet she doesn't reference or credit the actual originators. Which means they can be found online easily. They do claim that you'll never need another cookbook, but unless you are a fan of a steady diet of starchy & plain foods, that might not be true for the reader. This cookbook is full of basic & easy to make recipes so it's a starting point if you're newer to simple cheap cooking.

Check out Tawra Kellam on You Tube or Facebook if you're interested in more. She rants about buying organic food, eating out, crockpot & freezer meals (bc they're 'slimy' lol), eating for health, couponing, shopping at warehouse stores, (Costco mainly) & about why we shouldn't budget or follow an envelope cash system for saving money. Yeah, all that's bad. According to Kellam. She also demonstrates some of her recipes. It's obvious that she barely uses her own cookbook as many of her recipes are not in the book. She also struggles to find her own recipes in the book. On the air. If you like mixing cake mixes w/processed & artificial fruit filling and pretending it's cobbler or lemon bars, you'll enjoy her show. Otherwise she's somewhat entertaining. However Kellam IS right about eating out. If you're trying to save money, find another way to eat (besides eating out).

1/2 cup broccoli is 15 cals

So her meal is 249 calories. NOT enough for growing kids

If I were to write a money saving book, Id buy whole wheat flour and real maple syrup at the scratch and dent.
There is no reason she shouldnt be using whole grains

On Amazon you can buy a 12 oz of Aunt Jemima for $7.19 and a pint of REAL Maple Syrup for the same.
I would NOT cook with Aunt Jemima...

Years ago I realized that the best way to save money is to only buy the higher quality things.
I am not tempted at the checkout to buy Nestle or Hersheys if I have tried higher quality chocolates.
I wont buy gum at the check out either, because of the Aspartame. So I save money on impulse items.
I support Unions so I refuse to buy Hostess products, so Im not tempted by the siren call of the evil
Twinkies.
My standards in food and life have helped me save money. Tawra and Fam's standards are in the basement.
She just doesnt care...

What kills me about Tawra is that she only started making soap within the last year or two. Now she's an EXPERT on it.
I've made soap for many years and she is definitely no expert.

I can't even watch them at this point. Holier than thou is not in my wheelhouse.
