Seriously though. Since my husband has family in the same neighborhood that they just moved into, I know how crazy expensive their HOA fees are, club memberships their required to purchase, etc. At least they were smart and moved into a good, safe neighborhood that has standards for the homes being built there but good luck with unpredictability of YT.JustZoe wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2019 12:43 pm I see this turning out really bad for this family, and it scares me to death for their kids. I've seen SO many people quit their good-paying jobs with benefits to sell Lularoe full-time. Several husbands have gotten out of the military and given up their retirements to help their wives do LLR full-time. Now that company is crumbling to the ground, and all these people that built Lularoe-funded mansions are shitting their pants. What's going to happen when YT goes bust and these "gurus" are not making money? Who's going to pay for these McMansions?

Re: MEG-a Sponsored | Love Meg | Part 3
why do her small children need such large sized beds? is that the done thing now? is this common in the USA? * I am Aussie)
Also shouldn't her kids be making their own beds and tidying their own rooms with a little help if needed by now?

Meg’s idea of fun for her kids a plain white curtain with some shimmer.
Re: MEG-a Sponsored | Love Meg | Part 3
She's overwhelmed already. The house is too big and the furniture she has doesn't go at all. I really believe over time they'll regret buying such a big house.

Re: MEG-a Sponsored | Love Meg | Part 3
They could’ve built a smaller, totally custom home for what they paid for this monstrosity. And they’re going to sink *more* money into it? On the most expensive rooms to renovate in a house? It’s glaringly obvious that they’re new money and not very smart. It’s like they had to hurry up and buy a house or something. If they had the money that Meg brags so much about, they’d have a dining room table by now. And a couch that actually fits the living room. And rugs. Did she really bring those god awful cheap looking stools into that house? I know she just moved in but it’s not like they didn’t know they were moving, and buying furniture when you don’t have it is a huge priority, along with using mattress pads and flat sheets.

Re: MEG-a Sponsored | Love Meg | Part 3
ALL of her current furniture looks absolutely hilarious in that house. The living room looks stupid with that small sofa set, she should have put that in the front room and ordered a huge sectional to be delivered when they moved in, at minimum. Honestly, that set should go in the bonus room or break it apart and put the loveseat in her office and the sofa in the master. She needs to burn that hideous brown recliner sofa that they got off the side of the road or wherever.
Her Walmart bedroom furniture looks horrible in that room. It looks super cheap but the sitting area with the Goodwill dresser and yard sale chair are my favorite. What a relaxing safe haven! I LOL'd for real at her wedding photo propped against the wall. She's a TRUE southern belle now, y'all, she's gotta get that photo up! (I think she had it in the double wide but not in the rental?)
She doesn't seem happy in this house like she did when they moved into the rental. She seemed genuinely happy in that house at the beginning. She has said numerous times that she likes color and personality, but she'll never be able to furnish and decorate this house in her ACTUAL style and make it look good. She will have to compromise her true self to decorate this place and that'll never make her happy.

I agree about the hideous brown sofa, but she lugs it with her wherever she goes. Of all things to be attached to...But maybe that’s her statement piece for the theater room?M_P_D wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2019 10:47 amI agree. Re: MEG-a Sponsored | Love Meg | Part 3
I just watched her house tour and clean with me. This is a comment not just for her but for many American mommy vloggers. It gives me so much anxiety to see a house that huge for such a small family. And it seems to be the norm for many vloggers -- is this a new rich mindset? Is it because they want to show off as public figures on the internet? Or is buying larger real estate a common trend for all middle-class Americans?
I'm not from the US so I'd really like to figure it out.
Can't imagine Meg's kids growing up in such a huge household. They'd be the only ones staying on the second floor and it makes me anxious how the parents can have a full night's rest with their kids in another storey. I also find it strange that Justin and Meg share the same business but their offices are so far apart lol. That kitchen-living room is so huge it's unnecessary. And a jacuzzi? Really?
Well, at the end of the day, it's Meg who's gonna be maintaining the upkeep of that huge house, so more content for her, I guess.
Also noticed that they brought back the like/dislike count for their videos.

Re: MEG-a Sponsored | Love Meg | Part 3
I guess it depends on what you want. The US has smaller, older homes with a lot of character but I guess as time went on and more land was developed, houses did become/are continuing to be built bigger. I live in a older home. I have two living rooms, an eat-in kitchen and a formal dining room, the bedrooms and bathrooms and an attached room off the garage that I suppose could be a bonus room of sorts but we just use it as a workshop/shed so we don't need one in the yard. All that crammed into just over 2000 sq ft, so our rooms aren't huge. They're plenty for us, but they are not large by current US standards. I think my master is 16x14 and we have a very small bath, seriously probably 4x6ft. We do not have a mortgage so this house will have to be pried out of my cold, dead hands in order for me to leave it for something bigger LOL.ytgotw wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2019 1:00 am I just watched her house tour and clean with me. I totally agree with you. I find it weird they chose to sleep downstairs and have the kids upstairs. If they were teenagers fine but they're not. They're 5 and 6. I also can never understand why all these youtubers choose to buy such crazy big homes. Their furniture looks tiny in the living room and I really do think she's going to get fed up cleaning that house. Smart decision would have been to buy a house the size of the one they were renting.ytgotw wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2019 1:00 am I just watched her house tour and clean with me. MEG-a Sponsored | Love Meg | Part 3
I feel like this new house is the tipping point for bad to come. It’s not just the price tag on a house that big... it’s the cost to maintain, electricity, gas, hoa dues that’ll get you. So they’ve got all that to deal with... and no furniture to cover their 4500 sf AND housing renovations to tackle...
My father was an airline pilot earning well over six figures, and we lived in a $400k house. My parents avoided consumer debt so the furniture came in slowly as did the renovations. Meg doesn’t have that sort of patience. She’ll charge it all, and put herself in an even worse financial situation.
I don’t see this ending well.

It may very well be a painting, it’s an old southern tradition to have a painting done of the bride on her wedding day.Ljs wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2019 9:49 pmIs it a photo? Her new clean with me video should have been called “watch me switch out my clothes hangers”.....8 min of it how in the hell is that suppose to be motivating? And then 5 Ads

I couldn’t get past how square her body looked in that outfit! There’s no way she thought that outfit would be good for camera.
