I can’t believe she’s been taking anti-anxiety pills for 1.5 years and is just mentioning this now! For someone who claims to be authentic and empowering, I wonder why she felt she had to hide this for so long? It’s nothing to be ashamed of and no one expects prayer and essential oils to solve everything.

Cleaning your bathroom doesn’t empower me.
Sharing real life struggles and how to overcome them, or even just discussing how pregnancy/post partum anxiety is real and common and nothing to be ashamed of - that’s empowering women! I didn’t have PPD for my first, but I did for my second and I put off treatment for way too long because I thought it meant I was a bad mom, ungrateful (after 5 years of infertility) and that my doctor and husband would think I didn’t love the baby, or even call social services. I wouldn’t tell my family because my dad (an asshat) claimed that my moms PPD was because “she was jealous of the attention the baby was getting”. There’s so much stigma and misinformation about maternal anxiety and depression, more women need to speak out and share.
Why won’t she tackle real issues?
