I’m not white knighting Elle here but she has mentioned that for some reason this pregnancy she finds herself worrying more so maybe that’s why she went to the hospital.

Maybe. Anxiety is real, so I do feel for her on not being able to take her meds. And maybe everyone’s manifests differently. But when I’m legit full anxiety mode, I don’t stop to think “let’s grab the vlogging gear!” - I’m usually doing good to remember my car keys but then again that’s why she’s the killer mom boss and I’m not, she’s always on her vlogging A-game

Plus she was having an ultrasound the very next day, if she was paranoid these two things should have calmed any nerves. Without a doubt, Elle was looking for video content/drama. Remember when she filmed when she arrived to Dan’s car accident? ALWAYS LOOKING FOR DRAMA.

To be fair she had the doulas, not midwives.

I said it before, but she called the midwives with these contractions. I have a really hard time believing they told her to go to l&d straight away, rather than taking a warm bath and drinking water.
Shit when I was literally in labor my midwife told me to take a shower to make sure contractions continued.

Why does she have 2 doulas? Serious question. I didn’t even use one, so I’m not sure everything they do or why you’d need two.

From my limited knowledge they help calm mom and ensure her wishes are heard/respected. Which my midwives did for me, but I know not all midwives fill that role.

Yup that’s exactly what they do. I was going to hire one, but then i realized my midwives do the same thing and the less people for me the better. Dan is such a great birth support system, I honestly don’t know why she felt like she needs a doula. She probably hired 2 to have a main one, and then a backup. She probably just wants dan as a camera man to film her ~aLl NaTuRaL vEgAn DrUg FrEe BiRtH~

Speaking of which, has she mentioned hiring a birth videographer?
I literally can’t imagine HIRING people to attend my birth, at will. Like that just blows my mind. All unnecessary personal can wait. Grandparents included.

I think I saw her asking her followers on IG if they know of any birth videographers. Maybe she is having a tough time getting one. I wonder who filmed her other births? I've never seen those vlogs.

Most likely Dan will be the camera man. Because it's totally relatable for your husband film to you instead of helping you ride out the contractions.

What a shitty deal for them, how many of her viewers A) Live near Markham AND B) Are looking to hire a videographer.

Elle is expecting a professional to basically provide services for free (aka “you get advertising/exposure!”) which is one of the most offensive and degrading things you can do to a photographer, videographer, or artist. No wonder she can’t find someone!

The real tea is when Elle said her sister in law wasn’t a practicing doula anymore and wouldn’t be attending her birth. Then in a later vlog she corrected herself and said her sister IS still a practicing doula. But is she attending this birth????

Target haul video is up and all I can think is Elle must be feeling big because that Myspace-Fat-Girl extreme camera angle is awkward and unusual for her.

Why does she do that unnatural laugh all throughout the video? Its very forced, especially the bit around 14:50 of the Target haul when she was smugly giggling and hamming it up over Dan's reaction to her buying a lawn umbrella only because their current one no longer matches their FAMILY ESTHETIC.

No shade on my boo Target. LOVE ME SOME TARGET. But come on. It isn’t minimalist. It isn’t “sustainable”. But a haul from there fits her aesthetic? PICK A LANE ELLE.

I’m just shocked at how much money she spent. The exchange rate is stupid right now and she drove almost 3 hours one way and blew hundreds of dollars on stuff she literally could have found at Homesense. I was at Homesense the other day looking at an almost identical pillow to the one she got. It was $35 Canadian. Hers was $35USD which makes it a $47 pillow before taxes and duty. Not exactly a steal.

The umbrella is cute but I don’t know why she had to bring up that she didn’t like the one she got for free from her BFF Canadian Tire so she’s replacing it. She could have left that part out entirely. Makes her seem super wasteful...which we all obviously know she is.

Ugh she’s so annoying.

And furthermore on the umbrella, she’s like most of the ones in Canada were in the $80-150 range so I feel like the price of this one is pretty reasonable. It was $149USD which makes it a $198 umbrella before taxes and duty.

I also love how all the screenshots of umbrellas she posted were of the giant cantilever ones on heavy bases. They’re all in the $300+ range. The one she got is a patio table umbrella. Like stop trying to make it seem like a bigger price steal than it is and own that you splurged on it because you loved it.
