Same with Keren and Khoa.. like it will suck when you have friends and they are speaking Spanish/Vietnamese and you can’t even understand
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I rarely post here, but I agree. They don’t even try to teach them their languages. I sort of understand why Khoa wouldn’t be comfortable teaching his kids Vietnamese bc he claims he isn’t completely fluent, but Oscar was literally born in Mexico. Why he doesn’t want to teach his kids Spanish blows my mind. It’s amazing to know 2 languages!

I kind of agree but why are you talking about honoring the husband's family tradition? why people are always expecting the woman to honor her husband's roots? why can't the person with exotic roots pass it down himself to his own kids? clearly Oscar doesn't give a sh* about teaching his kids anything about his culture. I don't even think he does a lot of thing related to his culture anymore, so I don't know why it would be Kyra's role to do that. This baby's name was Oscar's choice and obviously his choice wasn't a spanish/mexican name.
It ain't that deep....
Clearly Oscar doens't give 2 flying fucks about his culture, so if Kyra steps in, those kids will learn about their heritage or they won't at all

Chill out, damn. They might care in the future. I’m half Hispanic and I constantly get asked if I know Spanish. It would’ve been much appreciated and cool if my parents taught at least a little to me growing up. Who knows, maybe Oscar is waiting until they’re a little bit older and can understand what another language even means.

This is so ignorant. Aren't you white Chloe?

My point is who cares. If someone wants to do it great. If not who cares. It doesn’t make some one better because they know a different language or culture. Being a kind hearted person and doing good in this world is what matters. Anyone who thinks they are better then someone else because they know another language is stuck up.

It's not only about the language? It's about traditions, celebrations, food, rules, history like understanding where you come from. That is something those kids will miss out on.

Maybe his family isn’t into all the traditions or cares.

Idk how much Kyra and Oscar filmed, but they might not be comfortable with someone else editing it, especially if there's any censoring to be done. Honestly, Oscar can damn well work for two hours to support his family.

I'm guessing everyone is eager for the birth vlog to go up to see what happened that Kyra's saying was so dramatic and to get a first glimpse of Averie, but if Oscar had any other job, it would be really insensitive to say he should leave his family/newborn daughter for a couple hours to go to work. This is his child. It's real life for him. He's never going to get this time back with his family and he should be able to live in the moment and enjoy this time without having to work. Everyone's waited nine months. People can wait another couple of days to see the baby.

Clearly, teaching kids another culture is UNDERRATED. This comment is absurd, sorry we know double the things you do because clearly you lack some insight in how important and full of opportunities knowing two languages is. Your privilege is showing.

But knowing him he’s probably jacking around at home on those RV’s they bought (even though he has a broken back). Yeah he doesn’t have a real job, but he gets to see his kids everyday all day which is something a lot of people don’t get. I could understand if he was still working and what not but he literally does nothing and makes Kyra do everything. I can 100% see her still editing and uploading the birth vlog even though she’s recovering from the birth of their 3rd baby.

Lol that's cute.. But it's not true. Especially in 2019.
Speaking just one language is not enough.. No matter where you're from.

Keren is worse but Kyra has her own issues. Biting Levi more than once because she was anxious and not getting the progesterone shots while spending thousands of dollars on other extravagancies are the big ones in my book.

He was born in Mexico but they moved to the US when he was like 4 years old lol. He can clearly understand it because his parents and grandparents speak Spanish, but you never see his mom or dad speak Spanish to him at all.. So my guess is that they chose to speak English at home. That's actually not uncommon with immigrant families when they move to the US.
None of his siblings speak Spanish either except Aimee, and her Spanish is pretty rough too

I agree. Just the world of job opportunities it would open up for the children, when they're older, to be able to speak Spanish is unbelievable. There are so many job opportunities available for those who are bilingual--particularly Spanish!

If KK snow Averie in their vlog before OK show her I would be pissed if I was OK. No one should show off a baby before their parents do. But it’s so something Keren would do.

I know a lot of people name after the moms side (Ann is a family name I think, so is Teague, and so is Renee) because Morales is the fathers last name. I think that makes sense and it’s not all embracing the dad.
