It is a federal law it was added to the domestic violence laws then last year added to cyber stalking law and bullying act. You do not have to accept terms if you go to the pages at bottom theyalways have a legal section it is on the tv commercial in fine print. Also agents are trained and suppose to tell you if you chat or talk to them that is the law. It is one of those most people can claim I didn’t know and get out of but since a family member works there it would be harder. The law includes all online searches like the medical sites, ins, credit card etc basically things you would expect to be private. Now sites with public data are ok like the one I gave or some parts of the dmv website. The best rule on the law if you would pay a bill to them it is protect under that law. There are some loop holes but it is the best way to stay out of trouble.

Thank you for informing me! I honestly did have no idea. I think it is hard to find the line between what is ok and not ok when it comes to youtubers. I never want them to feel unsafe but in a way they are "celebs" to average people like myself and it feels like its not a big deal sharing this information. I never want anyone to feel like their privacy has been invaded but I also got excited when I saw that after we had all been talking about it for so long haha I appreciate you being kind about it when informing me though!

I found Kerens car!!! My mom works for progressive and informed me that you can see what cars anyone has by going to their website and entering the address of the person. Since their address is public and they have made no efforts to make it not public that was super easy to find (although not condoning people finding it) and here are the cars listed for their address. This happened a long time ago. My friend lives in their neighborhood and we drove down the street and i saw the car. We are not bringing this up again bc it was a whole thing. Noone stalked them. Noone did anything illegal. Last i checked driving by someone’s house while on public property aka a street is not illegal

The reason she couldn’t do anything last time is the person drove on a public road. The only way they could get in “trouble” be given aTAW is if they stopped in front of the house several times, took photos, was on the property, yelling stuff when going by. Google info like their address is a moral issue not a legal one sites like my mfloridacounty are ok, but some sites and info are protected like the insurance site you expect info to be private and that is why the law was passed for them. Just because she mocks people isn’t a reason to go beyond to get info. She got embarrassed after seeing everyone found out she was a liar about the stalker and you can bet she wants to say see I told you so now I have a case. Sure the person can say I didn’t know it was illegal because honestly how many people read a companies full legal page but then add that with sharing it she has some ground to stand on.

I tried to help the girl in the beginning out of my hearts kindness and my love for kids, part of my job and Keren didn't like that mom to mom advice apparently. So here I ended up to express my feelings and hope maybe she would see some of what I had to say if she came lurking.
