Re: The Lindquists
WOW Elle’s response to that woman is horrific. I can’t even. That’s her, right there.
I read it out loud to my husband and his jaw hit the floor.

Re: The Lindquists
Agree with everything that has already been said about the above interaction. Elle looks past people and THEIR struggles and just focuses on herself. The woman acknowledged Elle's concerns and tried to give her perspective and reassurance, but all Elle could muster was defensiveness. GROSS.

Re: The Lindquists
Because she saw her response as an attack and couldn’t see the forest for the trees. Just goes to show what a self righteous person she is. She doesn’t realize that we notice these little in-discrepancies in her behaviour and that’s why we call her out. She’s a phoney.

Re: The Lindquists
Her worrying about a c section and making such a big deal out of it is as bad as she was when Cohen wouldn’t breast feed. Just give the kid a bottle and formula feed. Why stress your self out like that.

I bet it’s been a LOOOOONG weekend in that house. Poor dan lol. Prob running for his disgusting man cave to get a break from her incessant complaining.

Hahaha I don’t doubt that it’s been a long whiney weekend! Poor Dan. I hope he hasn’t fed into it and has told her to calm the eff down.

Re: The Lindquists
You know, I get her being upset about needing a section. If I was in the situation I’d be upset too. But what bothers me is that she’s upset because it doesn’t fit her aesthetic.
Get over it and be glad that your daughter (the one you prayed and begged for) is healthy.
5 years from now, they’ll all be eating the same dirt on the playground and no one will give a shit how you birthed them. Promise.

Re: The Lindquists
And tbh, as someone who has given birth vaginally/unmedicated .... it NEVER comes up. And if someone directly asks I don’t really discuss because saying “I gave birth nAtUrALlY” seems like the most vain/annoying thing to ever say! I can’t believe Elle idolizes it. I’m glad it works for her, but for other people it doesn’t. I’m allergic to the epidural, other people recover faster without it, some women prefer more control and want medicated births, some women with sexual trauma prefer elective c-sections, there are millions of personal/medical reasons that factor into birth, but unmedicated isn’t some huge award that she’s being denied.

Re: The Lindquists
Has anyone stopped to think that her response to “using drugs” might have something to do with her past?
Maybe this is a long shot here but could she have had some kind of issue with “drugs” before? Because they way she talks about “drugs” for birth, makes it sound like she’s afraid to get addicted or something. But who gets addicted to an epidural?
I don’t know. Trying to make sense of her way of thinking. Although she injected herself with drugs to make this baby so.....I don’t see how you can be okay with that but not taking meds for birth?

I think 10000% the aversion to using drugs has something to do with her past. Whether that be her own use or her mothers use.Notablogger wrote:Has anyone stopped to think that her response to “using drugs” might have something to do with her past?

For sure!
Most women I’ve talked to about epidurals were against it only for the reason that it can make labour longer (for some) but Elle seems to think it will taint her children.
Elle will claim she’s read “real medical journals” extensively and come up with some medical excuse when we all know it’s psychological for her.

Glad she finally admitted she can only handle two shitty videos per week instead of three.
Shocked she posted that pro vegan video. Very unlike her to take a stance like that when she weaves and bobs in comments to avoid calling herself vegan or even vegetarian. Weird.

Re: The Lindquists
I really couldn't care less if she has a video up on time. I understand Elle might be going through some tough things like getting over the breach/ c section ordeal and just being tired and achy pregnant woman. BUT... she knows well ahead of time she could not deliver MWF videos. It's annoying she has to update last minute why she doesn't have a video up. You had the whole weekend knowing you couldn't deliver, why can't you just update as soon as you know?
This attitude just adds to my list why Elle is a flaky individual.

Re: The Lindquists
I just watched Elle’s old vlog of why she does/did a “NATURAL BIRTH”.
Part of the reason is she feels it’s a form of worship to God. Women must feel pain during child birth.

Re: The Lindquists
I also agree with you ladies about drug use, herself or her mother.
But.
I also think a very big part of it for her are the bragging rights. She really wants to feel superior and having a “natural birth” is an easy way to prove she’s stronger and better than everyone else. And then the vanity - for someone so proud of their ABS who wants them back soooo badly, having them cut open is probably triggering her anxiety. While not super common anymore, some women do end up with a little csection “pooch” and that would ROCK Elle’s body dysmorphia.
(Although after 5 pregnancies, not all full term, and no c sections I still have a pooch Even when I lose a ton of weight, I have top abs and a little pooch! I don’t care, because I’m not super obsessed with my body like her, but pregnancy #3 seemed to be the turning point for me where it wasn’t easy to bounce back anymore. I was also 32 around that time so maybe age was a factor as well. I think she’s going to have to come to terms with her body dysmorphia if she wants to continue having kids)

I think I just threw up a little in my mouth I wonder if she’s going to pass that thinking on to baby girl.

Re: The Lindquists
I had wondered too if it had something to do with past drug abuse but honestly, I don’t think so. Plus epidurals aren’t an addictive narcotic. Avoiding the morphine, fentanyl, etc I would understand but an epidural in my mind is different. She’s had at least two surgeries before (ankle reconstruction and ectopic surgery), presumably with sedation and post-op drugs, and no issues. I think it’s all about bragging rights.
She stops herself in the breech video when she’s talking to Veronica. She says “the whole point of me doing natural birth is...to not get the drugs.” You can almost hear her switch gears in the middle of that sentence and think of how to justify why there’s a “whole point” other than her own ego.

Re: The Lindquists
I also Notice that whenever she gets ragged on extra here, a video shows up late. I’m thinking she let us walk in her dirty mind with our feet and she’s having to cope With it.
