Bonnie used to do it with Cody and Boston too. I assume she does it with Lincoln but I don’t watch her anymore.

If they left the church and stopped going, it might actually be a good thing. The Hoellein kids don’t need to grow up thinking God’s love is conditional. They already have that with their parents.

Julie had me shaking my head when she was teaching Lucy to climb up the steps! I know they were both there, but I just don't think it's smart to encourage her to crawl up the whole set of steps!

Today’s video they drive by a car fire complain that people stop on their side of the highway to look, but they see no wrong in filming it. Yes, they only showed the smoke, but why show any of it.

Well, Ruby runs up with camera filming the car and people involved in the accident she witnessed last year!

I came here to see if anyone mentioned this. I thought it was weird how cheerful she sounded saying "someones having a bad day..thats pretty sad" i feel like she never shows any other emotion

Well, I think if she was just behind her, that is kinda smart. They are less likely to fall if they actually know how to use the stairs. Also, the ''forbidden fruit'' -effect disappears when mommy allows her to try herself.

Maybe I am a nerd, but I only skipped school for once in a lifetime events. My kids only skipped school for the same things. Otherwise we scheduled family times on weekends. It would never had occurred to me or my sisters to skip school even to buy a Mother’s Day gift. Julie’s kids went through an application process to go to that school. I think it’s a public magnet school. There were other families that wanted their kids to go there. I think skipping school to hang out with Bonnie is just a slap in the face to the system they applied to be in and the families whose kids did not get into the school.

The recent vlog where Emma leaves her glasses on the floor. Why why why Julie humiliated her child on camera!?!? Why make Emma look for glasses then tell her they had been stepped on!?!? I would never treat my child like that! I would find them right then and there and explain again why the glasses should not be left on the floor. Otherwise it’s just manipulation and I don’t think it’s a useful way to teach the kids IMO

Besides sickness, doctor's appointments (rarely dentist- that was always arranged for AFTER school) and the music festival (which as condoned by the school) I missed school once in 13 years. It was for one day in grade 10 to go visit my cousins at Easter. I left on Wednesday morning (we were a Catholic school so we had Holy Thursday and Good Friday off) and returned the next week. It was a HUGE deal. I had to talk to all my teachers, write a history test early, etc. I mean, that was overkill, but yeah, I really don't get how all these kids just kind of get pulled out of school for things like movies or shopping.

I liked Julie's 'Responding To Your Assumptions About Us' video. I think out of all the Griffiths siblings, Julie is the most down to earth. She responded to the questions naturally. Although her current situation is harder than her siblings - living in a rental, Landon being busy with school, she seems to be happy and content.

Overall it was good. They both got a bit defensive on the Landon doesn't know what he wants to do career wise. I don't watch all of their vlogs but he has bounced around quite a bit career wise right? They talked like they are going to have another child-I would hope after Landon has got settled with his career. One assumption that I had wanted to submit and forgot to was that they get some financial help from their families. Since he isn't working full time and their channel is not that big, I feel like they have to be getting some help.

So Julie uses a Caboodle for her makeup, not a Bollie case?

I don't get Landon. Julie looks like a moron for not being more assertive about their situation. He seems to try hard (or pretend to), but never accomplishes anything. They are really SCREWED now. Are they really going to waste another year for Landon to try again to get into the PhD program?? Then three more years (or more) of school??

No offense, but Landon seems pretty dumb. I don't think I'd have the patience for him to try all these schools and all these programs and NEVER GET A CAREER!!! It's probably been about 15 years he's been in college and graduate schools!

He's wasting time. He just needs to get a job.

I'm pretty sure that out of the two of them Julie has worked the most and brought in the most income (with her nursing job). It kinda annoyed me how she kept saying 'He knows the human body so good' like that automatically qualifies him to be accepted into a PHD program lol

I just wonder how on earth they are surviving financially. They have 4 kids and an unsuccessful YouTube channel, and her husband refuses to grow up. I would be so stressed out if I were in Julie’s shoes.

I said last year that Landen was going to suddenly want to be an astronaut or some stupid shit like that one day. I honestly think he will quit and pull some other random profession out of his ass. Hey guys, Landon is a real estate agent! No wait, now he is a weatherman! Oops, spoke too soon, now he is a pharmacist!

Wow, I'm so shocked that they're going through the process all over again...

I get the feeling that the reason why he keeps getting rejected is that he probably discusses the lifestyle that his PhD would get him (being at home with his kids) as opposed to the area/work itself.

Julie sounds so simple when she speaks. The way she is just willing to let Landon do whatever he wants at the expense of her and the kids is very telling to me.

Also regarding her Jared example, it just never occurs to these simple women that other applicants just may be more qualified. Nope, clearly it just isn’t fair and their white Christian husbands are just being picked on.
