Oh, I think you are reading a bit too much into it. To me, it looked like he just made a funny face, acted silly. Nothing ominous I'm sure

Re: Taina Licciardo-Toivola
I made some observations that I noticed people were thinking too critically about early:
1. I personally think the mom’s vlogs are “fake” simply because if you watch Leonardo’s vlogs about the family they seem much more normal. Though I do still think she is a bit controlling since her older kids even have to ask her if they can eat certain things.
2. The kids don’t (or won’t) leave home until 20. (Taína said it in a vlog)
3. They aren’t really kept secluded if you look through the kids Instagrams they have very obvious friends and I know in one vlog Jerusalem was spending the weekend at a friends house.
4. Also I think it was someone on this forum who said a Finnish person lives near them said they aren’t active in church, but I was a little confused because Jenna and Leonardo originally met in church. But I do know that Marie Licciardo takes a trip to Finland to preach every once in a while so maybe it was that kind of thing.
I binge watched like half of their vlogs and it answered a lot of questions on the forum that I didn’t already see the answer to. I thought there was more, but if I think of something I’ll make another post.

Also in one vlog Cleopatra was wearing jeans and she was getting hot and she literally had to ask her mom if she was allowed to go change. That’s super bizarre considering she was literally 18

Sorry for spam, but I also forgot to say that they really hype Cleopatra up about the whole singing thing because she didn’t sound that good on the boat (either time) or in the clip they posted on Instagram. She brags so much about how good her kids are at everything but there’s no way they’re proficiently learning these 5,000 different things everyday as she claims.

Re: Taina Licciardo-Toivola
In another vlog she stated that they only speak Finnish at home. I think this is why the littles mostly talk in Finnish on camera, I think the family uses English when they record to reach a bigger audience.Lyanna wrote: ↑Thu Jan 03, 2019 11:54 am in one of the videos she told the little ones it was tv time (remember we're talking about kids who are 4 and under) and she said watching tv was their homeschool finnish lesson. Which makes sense since they live in the middle of nowhere and don't seem to really know any real person beside themselves, let alone to know and interact with finnish people. Can you imagine being one of these kids, what a life.

pennyajdg wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 8:39 am The family is so weird but I have to say I overall enjoy watching them the kids seem happy, smart and educated so there’s nothing wrong with that but the names are insane
A few things I’ve noticed
Each older kid has a younger one to take care off like it’s there whole life responsibility. she even mentioned it in one video which older kid has which younger kid
Romeo’s responsibility is Aphrodite I had noticed him always chasing after her and taking care of her in other videos before she actually mentioned it, it’s practical but still weird you had all those kids and it’s up to the older ones to take care of the ones that are not attached to your boob
Leonardo is a grown man child, his vlogs show this it’s like he never grew up, his marriage had to be arranged, They don’t even seem like they know each other, Jerusalem is way more mature
She’s obsessed with the girls particularly Nefertiti, with her own special room, the girl gets way with yelling at everyone all the time, you can just tell by her behavior she’s the terror of the bunch, after all those back to back boys she spoiled her big time. And why is she the only one who seems to not know English? Even the babies seem to know more then she does.
Also when Jerusalem came back from studying abroad she made his return a surprise for KingJames (who I assume is his little) and she kept the other kids away. I also think Omega is his little too because when they brought the baby home he was the only one wearing a hospital bracelet as if he had saw the baby, he changed and cleaned the baby.

Re: Taina Licciardo-Toivola
Hi - This is my first post and I'm a newbie so if I'm doing anything wrong please let me know. I joined this forum mainly because of this family. As with many others they showed up on youtube and I started watching the various videos. I was intrigued and googled them to find out there was no mention of them but of a women and I can't remember her name who created one of the most murderous cults of all time. Interestingly enough she had blond hair and I know this is terrible but most of the information I cannot remember. I'm still wondering if there is a connection with this family. I kept watching their videos feeling always that there was something just not right. I can only compare them to my children's upbringing because in a sense I had 10 children. I have two daughters 35 and 36 but when they were just little kids I split up with my husband and had to go on welfare. It really bothered me to have to do so. The reason being was I lived in a co-op with a lot of gossipy, malicious neighbors who loved to snoop and spy into other people's lives. I was always afraid that one of them would turn me into welfare because I had one or two boyfriends over the years and indeed I did get turned into welfare but it was neither here nor there. I started to do after and before daycare in an effort to be on welfare as little as possible. I usually had 3 or 4 kids in addition to my own. Then there were kids whose homelives weren't that great and loved to be over at our house plus we always seemed to have children who were at risk at our house and basically our house was the safe house - the clubhouse I guess you could say. There was always laughter, creativity, kids experimenting in the kitchen under my eye, and a whole lot of semi-chaos. I enjoyed those years as much as they did. That is why I guess this LIcciardo-Toivola family bothers me so much. I couldn't understand where their money was coming from and marvelled that the eldest son and his young wife could lead such seemingly pointless lives. I understand now that he does go to school but his wife is so young to be not doing a whole lot with her life. I have always given back to whatever community I have lived in over the years and my daughters have done the same. So to watch this family whose sole purpose seems to indulge every whim is so alien to me. Then I think I saw somewhere where they are all on welfare. Sorry but I find that shocking. I think it hit me when I looked at the amount of fireworks they bought and thought holy smokes that must have cost a fortune. But the thing that bothers me the most is the father. Have you ever seen him pick up one of the younger ones? He doesn't bend down to scoop them up but yanks on their little arms and swings them up and to wherever he wants them to go. Half the time he doesn't even look as he does it. I worry about their arms and cannot understand how someone could do that. Also I've never seen him smile or act in any way other than deep, dark and disturbed. Seriously he alarms me. Also the mother. When one of the little boys was learning to ride his bicycle, she told him to ride down the hill!! It was fairly steep and he of course did it! She then starts yelling at him that she didn't mean it over and over. She darn well meant it. He could have hurt himself too. I won't say more - I've said too much but there is nothing reassuringly normal or anything that I can relate to in these videos. I guess I'm hoping to hear from others that have noticed what I have and will write back.

Also, I believe this is the woman you are referring to.

Re: Taina Licciardo-Toivola
Obviously they are on welfare. Neither of them works and they have tons of children. Even if they did work, they would receive benefits because they have so many children. It is not even reasonable for them to work, because being unemployed they can actually receive more or the same amount of benefits than what they would earn at work. Of course working would be good for other reasons but when thinking about the netto amount of money they get, they can get more money staying home doing nothing. This is because of Finland's welfare system and tax system. Let's open it up a little.
+ 8 underaged kids brings you about 800 € a month (even if one did work. Child support/benefit is around 100€ per child per month and everybody receives it.).
- When living in a rental house, the family can also get support for paying rent. This could be about 1300€ a month for a family of 11.
- Since the mother is at home taking care of young children, she receives some money for that. Maybe 500€ a month.
- If the father is unemployed/sick/not capable/whatever to work, he gets a benefit for that, also a few hundred euros a month.
So lets say these benefits make a total of 3000€ per month. If they spent 2000€/month for rent and bills, they would have 1000€ left.
According to the Finnish social welfare system one should have about 300-400€/person/month to use for food, clothes etc living (after paying rent and bills). There is one more benefit that is meant for those who can't make it any other way. 11x300€ makes 3300€ a month (Leonardo is not included so 11 persons). So they should have at least 3300€ to spend just for food and other stuff in one month.
Of course, this calculation is only valid if they don't have savings, properties or any other wealth. Those should be spent first before getting the "final support" money.
But anyway, it doesn't surprise me that they don't seem to work. They're probably doing pretty good.

Re: Taina Licciardo-Toivola
Toivola is a common surname in Finland. I am from Norway.Lyanna wrote:Is Toivola a common last name in Finland?Damom1 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 07, 2019 9:09 am Maybe...but normally you would have your actual name listed on your house or mailbox. That's different than what you use on social media or with friends because of deliveries, rental agreements ect. I'm thinking Toivola was actually her last name because she seems to go by Licciardo-smith not Toivola anyway.
Maybe they were already legally married but they didn't have a wedding already so they didn't live together.
I am also thinking about the things written here about fertility, maybe she means healthy in that way, its common to use the word healthy about things that goes well here in Skandinavia. So she may not be talking about the diet or the actual health in that regard.

I can't deal with that high pitched baby voice she puts on or the way she speaks slooooowly like her kids are developed mentally disabled or something - makes her videos unwatchable to me!

She's milking this vacation dry. It's been months since they went on this vacation and she's still posting videos. You can tell her viewers are tired of it by her views.....they are tanking!
I watch some of their videos out of curiosity but I don't care to see her kids play in the snow for the 20th time.
