Maybe it’s the germaphobe in me but ughhh when Kerrn was swiping in Landon’s mouth with her finger and then touching EVERYTHING (camera, jackson, Sutton, doorknobs etc) without washing her hands. Yikes. Strep or not, they’re all going to catch it because of her. They have no hygiene. Do they ever wash their hands?!

It makes me roll my eyes that she says she thinks it’s strep as if she knows anything. Yes it may be a bad sore throat, but you need to swab and test a culture to determine strep

Did she say she was waiting until Monday to take him? I would to unless it was a big emergency. Those minute clinics are terrible. That isn’t something you go to the ER for. Anyway it’s sick she had to bring up paying but I would wait until Monday also. Kids get sick there isn’t much a doctor can do unless a fever is just not going down.

She said the fever didn’t go down..it barely went down and got back up and that was the whole entire night and as it seems the morning and troughout the day. That’s a reason to go to a doctor even if you have to pay.

You do realize it was the weekend. No you don’t have to take a kid to the doctor for a fever that has only lasted 24 hrs. These kids eat like crap and don’t go anywhere. There immune systems are crap.

She suspected strep- that requires a visit ASAP. There is nothing wrong with urgent care - in fact, it is far superior than doing nothing at all for two whole days. It is much better than having her baby suffer because she doesn’t want to pay out of pocket for care or because she doesn’t like the alternative doctor in her practice. Gah why do people think there is something wrong with urgent care? They run the same damn tests for colds and whatnot as a PCP would, they just don’t have full access to medical records - which isn’t necessary to diagnose strep.

If they actually think it’s strep, they need to take him in ASAP. I grew up getting strep throat all the time and one time we let it be for a few days because we were on vacation and it became rheumatic fever which is awful. Didn’t they run Jackson in for a stye? Why not Landon for possible strep?

I haven’t watched the vlog but if she even thinks it’s strep and is concerned about a fever that isn’t going down with meds then take him to a doctor or at least check in with the on call (even if you don’t personally like them this is your son we are talking about).
We had a lapse in coverage earlier this year. My toddler had a seizure (which turned out to be a febrile (fever) seizure) and we called 911, had an ambulance ride, checked into a children’s hospital and had follow up appointment with my primary pedi. Not one person ever said anything about money. Sure we were billed but there are such things as payment plans. I guess with my long winded tangent I’m trying to say is screw the cost, I highly doubt any doctor would turn you away if you didn’t have the funds up front.
Ik my story is very different then what is happening but it does show that cost shouldn’t matter when it’s your child...

That doesn’t matter. I do know you don’t run your kid into a doctor for every little fever or sickness. Antibiotics don’t even get prescribed for a virus. Like I said if she thought it was strept that is a different story. She wouldn’t know strept though if it was right in front of her.

Just stop. My niece is a carrier for strept. Once she went off antibiotics it would come right back. She would get deathly ill with it. It was no fun. It was actually kind of scary since she was at my house several times with it since we watched her during the week.

I'm not one of those parents that runs to the doctor for every little thing. But her excuses are crap.

If it was the other doctor in the office thing why not have Khoa take him? Or take him to urgent care. Or gasp a CVS minute clinic (aren't they owned by Target now - Keren's favorite place). Most nurses do strep tests anyway and she probably wouldn't have seen the Dr for 10 minutes. So again her "I don't like the Dr excuse is invalid". I have a child with medical issues, with many specialists and there have been several I don't agree with or treated me like crap but I want my child to be ok and put it aside. I dealt with it later with a complaint.

And the money thing is NO excuse at all. She just got back from taking her bridesmaids on a cruise, $7000 for tickets for their honeymoon, 200,000 car, Khoas going to Mexico soon and those costs, Nonie lives with them for free and im sure she could borrow $100 from her mom (she's went and got her debit before when she forgot hers).

Still not the same being a nice or a parent. I love my children differently than I love my siblings kids.
When in doubt it is better to be safe than sorry.
If K had any motherly instincts she wouldn´t have let a doctor she doesn´t like or money stop her from taking him in.
It is better to go more often rather then regretting it later

Same same same! I got strep alot as a kid, the moment I told my mom I had trouble swallowing and I got a fever I was in the doctors office getting my banana flavoured antibiotics. And I never complained as a kid when I got sick so when I did they knew it was more serious. I'm sure as a parent you know your children's quirks and kind of can gauge how sick they are based on how they behave or if they're acting differently but like, if your kid is ASKING for a doctor fucking bring him in! I didnt even watch the vlog and the fact that Landon was asking to go to the doctor and they completely wrote it off like nothing is a fucking disgrace. I dont give a shit how you come across to your teenage audience and viewers, your first priority is to your 3 boys, how the fuck do they wake up in the morning knowing full well they are letting those boys down every single day by failing to even take care of their basic needs.
