Do you think Ellie and Jared, Bonnie and Joel or Julie and Landon have a financial planner or an accountant? I remember Ruby talked about having one once when they looked at buying a new home and he/she advise them not to at that time. It would be ashame if they don't have someone talk to them about their future. I think Ruby and Beau seem to be more grounded financially.FakingIt_MakingIt wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 9:48 am The only other thing I would factor in to comparing the sisters financial situation now is the debt Bonnie and Joel may have had prior to starting YouTube. They had a newer truck, a partially renovated home and Bonnie always had herself and the kids dressed in pricier clothes. On Joel’s income it would be totally reasonable that they had some debt to pay off the Ellie and Jared didn’t have once they started making money.
A few years ago I would have agreed that Bonnie and Joel were better off financially then Ellie and Jared but I think recently their spending has caught up. Joel has bigger ticket toys, he’s upgraded his trailer, two trucks, a full home Reno, their share or the property and Bollie, a month in Hawaii, lipo, hair transplants, and tons of clothing/nails/hair/eating out. I’d bet the two are pretty similar in financials.
Either way I think both are over spending considering their YouTube careers seem to be slowing down.

Ellie and Jared and Bonnie and Joel have talked about seeing their accountant, but I don’t think it’s anytning more then someone who takes care of their taxes. I don’t think they have financial planners, firstly I don’t know a financial planner who would tell them all this spending is good and secondly I think the girls are too full of themselves to think they’d need help with financial planning.

The month in Hawaii wouldn’t have cost that much. I remember noting that the monthly rent on the home was less than we pay for a week at Aulani in the same area. Plus they were able to work while there.FakingIt_MakingIt wrote:The only other thing I would factor in to comparing the sisters financial situation now is the debt Bonnie and Joel may have had prior to starting YouTube. Fair point about Bonnie and Joel nah e having more debt, but it would need to have been a lot to put them in a worse position than E&J are now with that house. They put at least $100k into the yard (with more to come now that the trees need to be replaced). Plus their house will have deprived, whereas B&J have added value to their own.
I get the comparison about Bonnie spending money on clothes and things, but Ellie never was thrifty in this regard when it came to herself. Granted they just ate potatoes when she overspent.
But I definitely agree, neither are in a good position. It just floors me that so many people think E&J obviously have money because they seem to just keep spending, but then argue Bonnie is almost broke because she cries about it. I think she just has a better awareness of the mess they have made. Ellie (and maybe even Jared?) thinks money grows on trees and another windfall will be around the corner.

Based on their spending alone, I would say absolutely not.YTIG60 wrote: Do you think Ellie and Jared, Bonnie and Joel or Julie and Landon have a financial planner or an accountant? Then again, we have a financial planner and she tells us all the time about clients that have overextended, so they could definitely have a planner and just take none of their advice.

Yeah, a financial planner can advise you, but bottom line, they work for you and you decide what gets done with your money in the long run. They can _say_ you should invest in this and don't spend lots on Uber Eats when you're capable of cooking, but you make the actual decision. So it's quite likely that they have a financial planner and just don't listen. I've thought that about Bryan and Missy. But their channel isn't sinking like these guys.

I don't think they spend a lot on weddings in that family. I know Bonnie had her reception in the Griffith's backyard. I wouldn't be surprised if all the girls did. You know Jennifer has to control everything. As far as saving for their children's future, I doubt it. She and Joel are spending all their money on cosmetic procedures for themselves. They sure are a selfish group.angelfire89 wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 8:50 amI would bet if they have any savings it’s for the Boys’ missions. Not sure if they have anything for Olivia, unless it’s a wedding fund. We know the Griffiths girls have never seem to be encouraged to go to college, except to get their MRS degree.Namm wrote:I highly doubt that if they aren't even feeding them with proper meals...Todays drama wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2019 11:15 am I think Bollie is on it's last leg. Bonnie and Ellie thought they would be as successful as Aspyn's store. She recently moved into a bigger warehouse, I'm sure this has Ellie and Bonnie green with envy. I hope Bonnie and Joel invested in the kids college funds and have a good size retirement account. If it's about stress, they need to unload that property, i think its nothing more than a money pit. They could buy a bigger house at a teasonable price. Beau showed the big house they bought, he's doing some renovations, but once finished it will be big and beautiful! Joel could do the same thing, they could have a beautiful home at the fraction of the cost of building on that land. Plus if they keep their current home they could have rental income coming in. But they have to live high on the hog and out do everyone else.

I have to agree with most posts above but something tells me the crying fest was not only a financial mess up. Judging from the immaturity this family displays I think Ellie told her off again and went off to Sanibel! Also at Sanibel E&J were discussing of new areas to live, while a while back they were excited to build together. I think Ellie is growing older and seeing Bonnie differently! Someone also posted if Ruby is trying one up on them! Ruby copies everyone especially Ellie, if it’s a book clothes line or even couch she is off to copy her younger siblings! Bonnie is just too much drama for Ellie now no more funny I think and that is what is upsetting her more! They put in so much on the land now Ellie no longer wants to live with her! And there is a good chance Ellie is irritated at how much attention her husband needs to pay Bonnie due to Bollie rather than on her! Which is cause for friction.

The idea of sand on the lawn is an interesting one. I see how it could be helpful to improve drainage and help flatten out a lawn area. On the other hand golf course greens have a similar soil profile (lawn seeded on top of a compacted base course of sand). Are they aware that golf courses have to water their lawns literally every morning in some areas? Though I don't blame them for trying. Its hard to even out bumpy lawn without removing the existing grass and re-grading/compacting the existing soil.
From what I got out of that video is that inventory isn't selling and they need to hire a new employee because the one they had isn't working out (or the employee left)? I have little sympathy listening to her crying about having to a pay an employee to run their business when there are four individuals in this business venture of theirs that don't have full time jobs outside of youtube. I'm not sure Bonnie gets a lot of support for running this business from Ellie outside of choosing products/ doing photography shots.

The funny thing is it was Jared who seemed excited about possibly moving to Florida. I'm sure it's because Ellie is happier near the ocean but I'm surprised he said that. His family and lover (I mean Joel) will be quite far from them.Byebyelemons wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 5:24 pm I have to agree with most posts above but something tells me the crying fest was not only a financial mess up. Re: Bonnie Hoellein: Bollievard of Broken Dreams | Part 54
To me it seemed like Bonnie and Ellie invested a sizable amount of money on a designer, it didn't work out because inventory is not moving out, so they are losing money. Bonnie said they have to put out a lot of money again. I think they thought the different color robes, the flower coverup, the jeans and the bathing suit would really sell and pull Bollie out of debt. Its not working and its either they invest more money or let Bollie go. I don't ever think Bonnie would admit they made big mistakes with Bollie, to her that would be letting the "haters " win. That plus they must have a big payment to make on their property. I think its in Bonnie and Joels name and Jared gives Joel a set amount every month towards the payment. Now with Ellie wanting to move, Bonnie knows they will have to either buy out E & J and take the payments on themselves or sell the property, spoiling Bonnies plan for a Mansion.

I don't think Ellie finds Bonnie to be "too dramatic". Ellie is easily as dramatic as Bonnie, with her vague health symptoms and jetting off to see "hormone specialists" and spending all kinds of money on blood tests. Maybe Bonnie told Ellie to snap out of it.

They all wanted the quick money with no hard work they haven’t even established the company and they wanted to hire people and sit back and rake in! That is not how it works! It’s not like the kids are annoying get Bri! They all went to those China wholesale exhibitions wet behind the ears and found they could make clothing items for one to two dollars and sell it for 60 they thought people back home were too naive or born yesterday and they acted like they discovered America.
What is worse is trying to hustle your own followers or even countrymen/women. Even the backlash was handled passive aggressively!
Soon they will move all this to merch you can’t sustain a company where no one wants to work.

Well we all know now that Ellie is back in Logan, she''s probably laying on her death bed, exhausted from taking care of the kids, and looking for seashells.
On another note, Beau and Julie had Their babies first birthdays at The Griffiths house, why didn't Bonnie and the kids go to celebrate? Its like there are two families within the Griffiths clan. One family being Ellie and Bonnie, the other is Julie, Ruby and Beau. Its really strange.

Re: Bonnie Hoellein: Bollievard of Broken Dreams | Part 54
Stopped watching regularly 1-2 years ago when all their egos got huge and they started getting so materialistic, hiring tons of help and complaining how tough life was. Think after making it big on YouTube and going from struggling to being able to afford more than you ever thought you ever would plus more they seem to have assumed everything they did would be ultra profitable and add to their bank account. That’s the problem with many family vloggers. Most of these families would have been working hard, raising kids without help and living a normal life but youtube allowed them to quit jobs, travel, buy toys, hire childcare and make significantly more money. Yes editing and YouTube is work but you are on your own schedule and it is one spouse that is really doing the majority of the work. The quality of the videos some days is nothing special. Think it was shocking that Bollie wasn’t a success. It just proves how out of touch they were. I also wonder what kind of pricing they got on the clothing. Can only imagine what the manufacturers in China were thinking when they met these innocent Mormon adults from Utah. I don’t think they lost a huge amount of money. It’s not like they are cutting back a ton. I think they thought this was going to be a huge longterm business. Also don’t think they actually wanted to work at the business. Bonnie and Ellie probably just wanted to do the fun part and pick the items. Because it isn’t doing well they can’t just pay others to do all the work. All the youtubers are now rushing to create tons of various streams of income. When your income goes from a husband working nights at a P&G warehouse to potentially making your previous annual income in a month it is no fun and shocking to see that you’re consistently losing money on things. They should just close the business. These little outbursts just remind you of how awful Bonnie can be.

Yes, it's more like something like this, or they hired the designer and they still had to actually contribute and couldn't just completely hand it off. They switched to someone from a New York company to an LA company, maybe this LA company isn't working out now or is going to cost more than they originally expected because they didn't read all of the fine print or something.Todays drama wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 6:44 pm To me it seemed like Bonnie and Ellie invested a sizable amount of money on a designer, it didn't work out because inventory is not moving out, so they are losing money. Re: Bonnie Hoellein: Bollievard of Broken Dreams | Part 54
I see Bonnie noted the number of views they've received from vlogs years ago (Olivia's learning to ride a bike in the millions) and said "boy, YouTube pushes videos differently than they use to" with Joel in the background saying they sure do. I image it is hard to come to terms with YT changes and they don't reflect on how they've caused their channels to see a downward trend. The one vlog that is holding their view numbers up this weekend is the viral Mermaid Cave that is trending 2000 VPH (views per hour) and there is a chance they could be bot views. At times, this video has more VPH the last couple of days, than current vlogs.
I'll be interested to see what they say about Bollie when they upload this video and it sounds like they are going forward with their company by hiring a new design team. It also might be good to upload this vlog today.
I'm shaking my head at her reaction to the carbon dioxide alarm going off, a worsening headache, lightheaded and waiting until Joel comes home.

Her carbon monoxide detector went off and she waited until Joel got home to deal with it? Wow. I get having a division of labor in the home, if that's what works for you, but that's putting your own health (and possibly life) in danger. Even more so for the kids.
I love how whenever views drop, it's never because the vlogger's personality has changed or they're talking down to their viewers. It's always the algorithm. When you have as many subscribers as they do, and you're getting the views they are, it's not the algorithm. Their subscribers know they put out vlogs. They're just not watching.

I wish a friend or family member would report her for leaving her dog in a cage 24/7. It pisses me off so much. She is potty trained now so wtf??? She also needs to realize puppies are hyper and she will most likely mellow out in a year or two.
Also, she is friends or can get into contact with at least 3 Mormon companies (that one swimsuit place she models for, rad swim, and that blanket place). Why is she struggling and these other gals have stores? Is she incapable of asking them for help??? The main issue I see is her website layout is utter crap. She could always send clothes out and have people promote it with 10% off.

Ellie and Jared did the same thing in the podcast of theirs after the comments were turned off by YT. Their lack of viewers looks worse than Bonnie because they have more subscribers. Plus many times lately Bonnie has had more views. The clickbait title on Friday's vlog about moving worked somewhat because it had over 140,000 views which for them is a high number.lmmomSD wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2019 9:57 am Her carbon monoxide detector went off and she waited until Joel got home to deal with it? Now on Olivia's vlog-wasn't there controversy with that and it was one that was renamed? I wasn't watching at the time but I thought I read about it here and I think I went back and watched it.
