SouthernBella wrote:Antidepressants and benzodiazepines are definitely not safe for breastfeeding. That baby looks and acts dumb as hell... She can't even walk yet and barely utters a word. I am sure her brain is already messed up from all that crap. I really hope Maddie loses custody. It looks to me at least Isaac made his social media private. He seems to care a lot more than Maddie does about his baby's well being.
Exactly! That poor child looks like she has Down syndrome I showed my mom a picture of her and she smacked my phone away like get that thing away from me Isaac definitely does care more for Everly, and it becomes more and more obvious as time goes on. Isaac said he wants to feed Everly meat so she can receive proper nutrition, and Maddie almost had an aneurism over it. She doesn’t care about her daughter anymore she’s only doing everything for the $$ and “fame”. When she loses custody all her fans are going to throw a riot

Your mom smacked your phone away?! Get that thing away from me?! That seems harsh, even for a gossip forum.
I don't agree with Maddie at all and she is acting like a brat right now. And yes, Everly does seems like she is behind developmentally but saying she looks like she had Down syndrome and horrible, is just a little too harsh. She is only a child, it's not her fault her mom is making poor parenting decisions.

You can look at previous posters on this forum. Many people have said she looks like she has it.
I’m sorry but I don’t feel bad at all lol. She was asked a question on Instagram about it and she laughed and didn’t care

That’s a shame. People act like breastfeeding is always better...

If the doctors give you the okay to breastfeed, you're fine. Breast milk is better and I think it's great we now have the option to take certain medication and be able to breastfeed.
I don't know Maddie was cleared by her doctors, but I have a feeling she is.

Stop responding to my comments with your nonsense. It’s not fine to take drugs of any kind while breastfeeding. It’s a shame that people do it

It's not nonsence. Are you a doctor? I highly doubt so because I have a feeling you're still quite young. If a doctor clears you, as the poster says, then it's fine. They know better than us, you shouldn't be shaming the original poster for safely breastfeeding her child.
There are very few medicines that aren't safe during breastfeeding. Very few. The ones I take were deemed safe by 2 doctors and an RN/LC. Pretty sure I'll trust their judgement, thanks.

I’m not young, I’m in my 20’s. I have a feeling you’re quite a dick though. Move along

You keep saying drugs like she’s out there snorting coke or something.
She’s taking prescription medication.
She would have spoken to a doctor about them.
Then a nurse and/or midwife.
Then her OB.
There’s a huge long procedure when it comes to taking medication during pregnancy.
Don’t act like she just picked up a random prescription off the street and stared taking it.

I’m entitled to my opinion, don’t act like she’s an angel who’s never put a substance in her body is my point. She’s not mentally stable anyway so her meds aren’t even helping!

This person was saying that I must be like Maddie’s age or younger.
Why is everyone on this thread being an asshole all of a sudden?
Just bc a doctor tells you a RX is “safe” to take while breastfeeding doesn’t make it a good idea. Look at alllll the doctors who willy nilly prescribed opiates like candy and said they were not habit forming and safe. Ummm yeah, and now look at all the people hooked on them. I didn’t take anything while pregnant, not even a damn Tylenol or Tums. You’re growing a HUMAN BRAIN. It’s not something to take lightly. Whatever choices you make will affect that child’s BRAIN for 80 years (give or take).

Yeah, damn doctors. Don’t vaccinate your kids either, amiright? People need to be mentally stable to raise their children and if a Licensed professional tells them its safe to take medications that allow this then it’s probably safe

Thank you so much!! I didn’t take Tylenol either while pregnant or tums, and i had some insane heartburn! Nothing is worth the risk of potentially harming your child.

Vaccinations are literally a million times different than taking a drug while pregnant or nursing, but lets agree to disagree

I don’t know where you’re drawing a correlation between what I said and vaccinations ? I’m talking about a mother taking psych meds while breastfeeding or pregnant. BIG difference. Ps- I vaccinate

my friend just had her fourth baby, she’s bipolar and has anxiety. with her first 2 pregnancies she came off of her meds. her 3rd, she stayed on them per her OB and her son was born shaking from withdrawal. he shook for 4 days. her 4th she came off the meds, no withdrawal. her 2nd and 3rd she went right back to her meds once they were born and breastfed, one is ADHD with a speech delay. shes 3.5 and has like 50 words and her 2.5 year old son has autism. before you at me, her first she lost custody of at 3 weeks. no developmental delays. i know “breast is best” but formula sometimes is the better option.

That’s so sad! I agree that formula is so much better than being on prescription drugs and nursing. These women saying they nurse while on medications are just making themselves look as bad as Maddie
Imma just leave this here.
Unless you’re a doctor/scientist that has studied this and/or published your studies on this topic, please kindly shut tf up about it thanks very much
It’s all good if you don’t feel comfortable breastfeeding while on meds, but don’t make others feel bad for their decision to go ahead with something their doctor and other medical staff around them has cleared them for.

Speech delays, ADHD, and autism are all very common diagnoses. You cannot prove that there is a causation between the mother's medication and these conditions with just two examples. Anecdotes are not evidence.

Lol so the withdrawals are anecdotal as well? Can everyone just give it a break already. Clearly this topic is too controversial so let’s all move on now and stop talking about Isaac and Maddie using drugs.
I wouldn't say she looks rough without makeup. She looks like a little girl which is what she is... Or was before her mom and everyone started exploiting her
