Do you know, when I look at that playhouse I could cry. I’m sorry, Bo, I know you may have built it with the very best intentions but it’s just horrible - not to mention a health and safety nightmare! There are not enough supporting structures across the base of the structures, or between the wooden pillars holding it up...its going to sag under its own weight and the weight of multiple children and adults - not to mention snow over winter.
These girls were promised a magical, unique, custom-built playhouse but look at it. It’s a shed on a platform and it isn’t safe for them to play on. Those rails at the front are too low - yes they’re there to look cute, but like so many other things about safety these idiots don’t understand, they’re also there to stop them falling off! Esme could barely climb the steps yesterday - they are too far apart and there are no hand rails to help?
If you look closely it is really badly built and really badly painted. In their usually slovenly fashion, there is now white paint all over the grass and possibly even the trampoline.
Where are the “cute shutters” and the little window boxes with flowers?
I feel so sorry that this is the magical house that the girls have been promised. In reality there’s nothing special about it at all. I also feel quite sorry for Bo, that he thought he had the skill to pull this off. He really doesn’t. It’s not safe and it’s not cute and I find it heartbreaking once again, that the girls needs and safety have been compromised again. When are these people ever going to put them first. The girls might not notice any difference now, but they’ll see it all when the look back - “mum and Dad had lots of tome away from us that year, but at least they made up for it us by getting us a beautiful playhouse other kids can only dream of
”. Oh wait, that’s what decent parents would have done with the money their children earned them, but not The Gardners
