She totally held off on posting this vlog until after the birth because she was worried she would have a c-section thus resulting in an uneventful VIRAL BIRTH VLOG. News flash: BOTH WERE BORING and neither are going viral.

I like how she named blankette after her best friends mom but no mention of her own mom at all. I guess she doesn’t want her moms DNA anywhere near her BABY GIRL. (That’s Elle talk right there, not actual real science).

Her mom was abusive. I'm actually pretty proud of her for not even giving her a mention - she doesn't deserve anything for what she put Elle through.

I agree, but at the same time I still find myself a little bit surprised. From the “my story” vlogs, it’s obvious she still loves her mother despite everything. I suppose the relationship between a child and abusive parent is very complicated, especially where mental illness and alcoholism are involved. I’m no expert on the topic, and not sure what I would do/feel in the same situation. Just my thoughts.

I think we all think of our mothers when we become mothers for the first, second, or tenth time. I do find it interesting that there’s no mention of Elle’s mom at all since Elle exclaimed in the gender reveal video that she finally gets a do-over relationship (unhealthy thought, but okay).

Maybe she is saving all the mom talk for her BFF therapist.

I’m surprised she didn’t involve her mom. Elle’s mom was def abusive but on the anniversary of her death every year Elle posts a “heartwarming” letter to her mom about how much she loves her. So I’m surprised she didn’t include her mom, except then it would raise a lot of questions about the quality of her therapy (no sound therapist would say this is a good idea)

Okay so the boys had to wait until the end of school to meet her? That’s so weird. I’m also confused as to why Elle didn’t stay in the hospital for 24 hours since the midwives did not deliver her and she had an epidural and whatnot.

TWO postpartum belly updates at 18 and 24 hours but makes it very clear that #bounceback is not the goal.

The pink car seat is gross and I hope the baby shits and pukes all over it every day like Cohen did.

Yes exactly. Her mom had an illness and it seems Elle has somewhat come to terms with what happened to her, she clearly still loved her mom. She got the MOM tattoo in memory of her six months after she died, maybe she figured that’s good enough to memorialize her...

What is up with the obsessive post partum belly updates? 2 within 24 hours and in depth discussion whether she has 1 stretch mark . Blankette seems to be just a supporting role in this vlog and Elle always has to be the star. And there is really nothing wrong with armpit rolls especially if she was swollen from the whole pregnancy plus IV.

You’re so right about the baby being in a supporting role. This vlog is once again all about Elle.

I would think a “first 24 hours” vlog would show things like leaving the hospital, first car ride, coming into the house for the first time, how often you nurse, how often you change a diaper, giving a bath (if doing that, not everyone does), first doctor visit, examining fingers and toes, meeting new people like siblings/grandparents etc. Instead it was just awkward footage of Elle nursing in bed, examining her belly at length in the mirror, and an awkward speech by Dan about how he can’t nurse and so the “first 24 hours are still about mama and baby.” Uh the first 3 months are all about mama and baby haha not just the first 24 hours.

Also bugs me how she said Veronica came to meet “her namesake.” Veronica IS the namesake because the baby was named after her. Elle is so dumb and she can’t keep blaming bAbY bRaIn because she is legitimately stupid.

I keep catching her saying “my daughter” in the vlogs when Dan is filming. She should be saying OUR daughter but she says “my daughter” over and over and over. It’s very telling. I guess because this baby wasn’t “conceived in the normal way” Elle feels she is the one true queen.

Ok wait... Elle spent the early evening and night at home and hid away in her room with “her” daughter and didn’t let the boys meet her right away?! What, in the actual fuck, kind of mother hides away from her existing children with the new baby? I’m actually so horrified! This is next level, even for her! I couldn’t wait to see my son after I had my second. I wanted to see him, snuggle him, let him see the new baby ASAP and just generally assure him that, yes, she’s here, but most things are the same, and I’m still here for you and I love you. Elle has essentially told her boys that Blankette is more important and they all need to stay away and leave her and “her” daughter alone. I’m disgusted!

Also, this was the stupidest vlog ever. Everyone saying it had nothing to do with Blankette and everything to do with Elle, was correct. And let’s be honest, it was mostly just updates on her body, which contrary to what she said about “bouncing back not being a goal” we all know it is, that’s precisely why the majority of this video was her fawning over her appearance. What a dunce.

I too found it bizarre the boys were at home when Bumpa took them back from the park and they were kept away from the baby. In my mind their mother being holed away in a bedroom with a new baby and shutting them out is asking for jealousy/resentment. She's basically admitted to spending the first week in bed and therefore not interacting much with them. As mentioned by others on here it's very telling when she goes on about my daughter vs the boys. What other reason could there be from postponing the meeting of their sister? Other than her stupid filming schedule it really doesn't make any sense.

I actually didn't pay attention when I watched it. I can't believe she came home with Blankette and purposely asked Bumpa to keep the boys away. And then of course she rants on her IG post that Cohen needs some reassurance. Put the two together Elle.

Like you guys, when I had my 2nd I couldn't wait to see my oldest. I missed her terribly and was more excited in cuddling her more than her meeting the new baby. Then when I had my 3rd it was perfect that both older kids were right there as soon as #3 came out.

I didn’t even think about that. I cried so much when I had to say goodnight to my first born and have her spend her first night away from me at my parents house. The next day I couldn’t wait to see her and have her meet her sister. Like couldn’t wait!!!

All Elle seems to be doing is sitting on the couch with “her daughter” or laying in bed with her. Which sure, I did a lot when I was a first time mom. But she’s not a first time mom. She has two young children. I wonder if she’ll hire her doula full time when she’s stuck at home with both the boys this summer. Yes Elle summer is a few weeks away and you will actually have to care for three kids (that you desperately wanted) without help. Who am I kidding. Full time camp for the boys so she can bond with baby bright.
